I warned everyone... I said we shouldn't let the user count swell too much on this subforum, and yet here we are. Then people have the nerve to complain that this isn't exactly "good marketing" for Formula 1. 😁

Can the mods please just clear out this nonsense? I get that the subforum is a little quiet lately, but that shouldn't be an excuse for the whole place to turn into a complete joke..

Ashley Cook64 said:The rules state that if you clip the wall—basically hit the barrier—you get slapped with a 10-second penalty, and he wasn't even the only one who caught a penalty here.
Look, I’m well aware... Jean Alesi took that exact same penalty back in the day. Honestly, if they had let him slide, that final would have been an absolute thriller to watch, but then again, we can't exactly throw fairness out the window when it comes to the other driver.

If I’m handing out any real credit, it goes to Sébastien Loeb; the man absolutely dismantled Marcus Grönholm, whether he was behind the wheel of an Xsara or a 306. Honestly, it was a miracle if he didn't end up cleaning out Finc in Modena too.
I assume you meant the 307... But look, Loeb did take care of Finc, though let's be honest—if the officials hadn't stepped in and handed him a ten-second penalty, he would have run away with it anyway. It felt a bit pointless.

I actually shook his hand at a premiere in Los Angeles once... he had this specific smile on his face that really showed how much it meant to him to be recognized by the crowd..
Say whatever you want, but the man has lived out his dreams exactly as he envisioned them..
On a side note, there’s a scene in the movie that really stuck with me—the one in the club where a guy tries to push drugs on him and he shuts it down. This guy offers him a "candy," and Borat just goes: "I'll take the candy.." 😂
The man is a legend..

After the initial, somewhat sympathetic handling of the Bo phenomenon, the first wave of critics has finally arrived. It isn't even really an attack on the concept of his film series itself—because let’s be honest, everyone understands this is just unpretentious, harmless trash—but rather, the detractors have set their sights on the production crew and the audience. They claim we are all somehow participating in the mockery of a disabled individual. Their argument is that everything was perfectly fine when Bo was filming his projects solo or with a few buddies, but once more people got involved—think last year's *In the Claws of the Metropolis* and now *Protecting Oneself*—acting as producers, writers, and actors, it suddenly became "wrong." Essentially, they argue that we are simply "helping a fool continue to act like a fool." However, anyone who has actually followed Bo's meteoric rise and sat through his movies can see through this. These are nothing more than the bitter voices of Malice and false moralism™, which seem to be a recurring plague in this land of tears. Bo Lee has always been the ringmaster and the star of his own circus; those criticizing him are merely underestimating him, assuming he isn't aware that people laugh at his naive, almost childlike sincerity toward the world. He has weighed the pros and cons and decided what truly makes him happy. He might not be mentally perfect, but he wasn't born yesterday. To grow up in a place like Sedona, marked from birth as being different and living through poverty, yet remaining positive toward the world, humble, and artistically inclined is a rare feat indeed. This time, it is Bo—a man about whom Lars von Trier perhaps should have filmed a musical with a happy ending. He is a man who holds fast to his principles, the Jesus of kung fu religion; he can't save our souls, but he shines like a flicker of genuine goodness that somehow managed to survive and preserve the very ideals many of us once held before we succumbed to experience, conformism, and pure resignation. We were all Bo once, but unlike him, we "grew up" and changed, only feeling confident enough to judge those who haven't. Now that Bo Lee has achieved his dreams, it begs the question: who is actually the one with the handicap?

If you were actually hanging out on the Automobiles subforum, you would have known about this when ROC was still in the loop..
Anyway, I caught the footage.. it was pretty interesting to watch. It turns out Michael Schumacher didn't really dominate anything, neither in the Nation's competition nor in the individual categories. The only real highlight was seeing him beat Sébastien Loeb 2:1 in the buggies during the championship round..

For the last 25 to 30 laps, he just sat there holding onto seventh place. He didn't make a single move past anyone during that stretch, even though we all saw him part of that little "train" our commentators love to talk about—you know, that cluster consisting of Fernando Alonso, Takuma Sato, Ralf Schumacher, and the reigning world champion. From what I could gather while watching, Ralf actually managed to get past Sato, who is notoriously aggressive when he's pushing. ☕ 😎

Michael Schumacher spent the entire race hanging on to 7th place. Honestly, when you're dealing with the supposed "greatest driver" and the best car on the grid, I was expecting at least a little bit of progress... ☕
Congrats to Juan Pablo Montoya. If next season plays out the same way this one ended—with 1. Montoya and 2. Kimi Räikkönen—we're in for a hell of a ride. 🙂
