I just went through a full blood panel recently. Everything seems fine at first glance—except for a few things. My sedimentation rate is slightly elevated, my hemoglobin and hematocrit are low, and my white blood cell count is up. To top it off, the morphology section mentions toxic changes in some individual neutrophil granulocytes. I get it—high WBCs and a high sedimentation rate usually point toward inflammation—but I can’t stop obsessing over one question: could this be a sign of cancer? Seriously, what kind of specific values in a blood test actually signal something like that?
Wheatgrass benefits: Is it worth the hype? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
Hey 😁, I honestly can’t tell if these are fried or not—they look and taste just like Pilaf, lol. But seriously, I need to know: is it actually okay to eat something like 3.5 ounces of this every single day? Or is this stuff meant to be used sparingly, like just a few tablespoons sprinkled over a meal? Also, I’m worried about potential side effects from too much Vitamin E. One 100g serving hits 250% of the daily requirement, and if I’m also getting more through everything else I eat during the day... what happens then?
Wheatgrass benefits: Is it worth the hype? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
I’ve got this 7oz bag of wheat germ from Target sitting here—looking at the nutrition facts, the protein content per 100g is actually pretty solid. I know you shouldn't rely on just one thing, but if you sprinkle a bit of this over every meal, you'll burn through that 100g serving fast enough. It packs about 25g to 30g of protein per serving... uh... so what do you guys think? Is it actually a good idea to eat roughly 100g of these sprouts every single day just to squeeze out an extra 25g of protein? 😁 And honestly, isn't this small 7oz pack the best way to go? It’s only about $1.75 which is a total steal, plus these things are a great source of iron...
What's your max push-up count? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
Standard reps—maybe 50 to 60 at a time... my absolute favorites have to be decline push-ups, like using a wall or a bench to elevate my feet. It hits the entire upper body like crazy.
I just picked up my referral from my primary care doctor, and now I’m supposed to go ahead and Order an appointment at Mercy Hospital... I recently heard about this new centralized scheduling system, and frankly, I’m a bit lost. I'm planning to send an email to book the slot—what am I actually supposed to write? Should I just say "I want to schedule"? And honestly, I have no clue which specialist I even need to see at the hospital—will they just assign me to someone? Has anyone here actually used email to set this up? If so, please walk me through it... thanks.
Traffic violation procedures in Criminal and Misdemeanor Law ·
Hey, I’ve been out of the loop on this lately—what’s the current deal with blood alcohol limits here in the States? What is the legal BAC limit for drivers? Is it a blanket rule, or does it change depending on whether you're under 24 or "older"? Thanks.
Nerve damage or something else? in Health ·
So, I’ve got a situation here... part of my palm and two of my fingers feel completely numb. I can still move them normally enough, but the sensation is definitely shot—and the strength in one of those fingers has dropped significantly. At first, I was convinced I was dealing with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, but then I stumbled onto something else entirely. When I lightly tap the inner part of my upper arm near the elbow—right in that space between the bicep and tricep—it feels like the entire nerve "jumps" directly into the area where my palm and fingers are numb. Obviously, I can't replicate this on my "healthy" arm. So, what else could this be besides standard Carpal Tunnel or a direct nerve injury? This has been going on for over a month now.
Numbness in fingers and palm in Health ·
Hey, I’ve been dealing with this weird sensation in my pinky and the part of my palm right below it for a few days now... I can still move the finger—and yeah, it’s definitely sensitive to pain—but the feeling is mostly just a mild numbness. To make matters worse, I’ve noticed my grip strength is noticeably weaker because of it. Any idea what this could be?

Question for the OP: what’s your playlist looking like? Honestly, you really ought to get out there one Friday night—grab a drink, actually enjoy yourself for once... Look, I know it sounds ridiculous, but maybe it would actually make you a better person. It might even change your perspective on things—which, let’s be real, seems to be where your actual problem lies.
Quick question for the OP—which college are you actually attending?
And in the meantime, I’ve managed to lose three successes—lol. So what now? Am I supposed to go out and hunt down those two plus these three new ones?
About a month ago, I went to my doctor and got five referrals for various tests—but honestly, I just couldn't find the time to get them done. Now? The expiration date on those referrals has passed (they only last 30 days, if I recall correctly)... and frankly, I really don't feel like dragging myself back to the doctor just to beg for more paperwork. Is the doctor even allowed to just reissue the exact same referrals?
Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
I’m looking to get a full physical done at a private clinic—where can I find the best balance between quality and price? I was eyeing the Sunce clinic... I see their standard checkup runs about $667. Since I'm a bit short on cash right now, is there any way to skip the full package? Can I just grab an EKG and maybe one other specific test instead of the whole works to keep the costs down?
Regarding Coco Gauff—this guy from the Midwest... I’ve been reading that after getting beaten so badly, they just went right back to their normal routines. If they were supposedly stuck in bed for a month without even trying to read or watch anything to avoid straining their brains, would they have actually survived? As far as I know, people who suffer a brain hemorrhage are supposed to stay bedridden for quite a while to avoid overexertion... In both cases here, a vessel in the brain ruptured. Is it even possible for a cerebral vessel to heal if they didn't rush back into their daily lives immediately after the assault?
Best tanning salons in NYC? in Health ·
This is a bit off-topic for this forum, but I need to know—where can I find a tanning salon in downtown New York City?
