Swollen but no pain—is this normal?

There can be a whole bunch of reasons why your gums start acting up, but if they’re swelling enough that you can actually see it in the mirror, you’re probably looking at an abscessed tooth

I appreciate the advice, though, truly. 😉
Jose Wright2 said:How long does it take for the swelling to go down? It doesn't even look that bad right now if you actually take a good look at it...
Jose Wright2 said:So, here's the deal. My gums are acting up. It doesn't really hurt unless I apply a little pressure—kind of like if I'm pressing down on a nerve or something. It’s not massive swelling, just enough to be annoying. Does anyone know how long this kind of thing lasts or how to fix it? And please, don't tell me to go to the dentist right now. I am seriously not feeling a trip to the clinic before the holidays hit. It feels almost numb, if that makes sense.

stormyheron4, that movie someone shared in that earlier thread was actually fantastic:

Endymion, I’ve only got three fillings, so I’m hoping it won’t turn into much of a headache; though, truth be told, I’ve been diving into this conspiracy theory book lately, so I might be letting a little unnecessary panic get the better of me. 😁
For those of you still looking for some insight into mercury detoxification, I was doing a bit of digging and stumbled upon some really great instructions on an American site—hopefully the language barrier isn't an issue here 🙄—that walk through the whole process. http://www.serbiancafe.com/lat/disku...radjeda.html?8

Does anyone here know if mercury detoxification programs actually exist, and if so, where one might find them?
Is it something you can achieve through herbal teas and similar remedies, or is the process more complex than that?
It seems to me that those old amalgam fillings—which are made up of more than 50% mercury—might be causing all sorts of health issues. It’s been suggested that the mercury trapped within those dark fillings constantly leaks into the bloodstream, creating these little "short circuits" in the brain that could lead to depression and various other ailments. I've also heard that simply replacing the fillings isn't enough; apparently, you also need to undergo a full detoxification program to really clear it out.

If you rub butter onto grease stains on your clothes, they'll look brand new.

Look, it would be pretty damn fine if you'd just watch where you're putting those hands when you're grabbing someone's ass. 😁
