Whole wheat flour: how bad is it for you? in Health ·
So what's actually left then? Fish is basically swimming in chemicals, meat is just a hormone cocktail, and all that flour you mentioned? Add some GMO fruits and veggies to the mix and

About that sore throat thing, I don't think it’s a tooth issue or anything, mostly because I can't even remember the last time my teeth gave me grief—though hey, you never know with this body, right? Plus, the area is tiny, like, just the size of a thumbprint or something.
I reckon I’ll probably just have to go see a private dermatologist and get it sorted out.

That’s pretty typical when you have chronic inflammation at the tip of a tooth root. Those things usually don't hurt, so you wouldn't even know they were there until you get an X-ray. It might be a smart move to check in with your dentist and get some imaging done on those teeth where you've had root canals, because that's often where these little issues hide.

It could also just be stress or something else entirely.
Zachary Baker4 said:I could really use some help or maybe just some solid advice because I’ve hit a wall where the hair on the right side of my beard just... stopped growing.
I'm 28, and honestly, I usually have a pretty thick, full beard, so this is totally out of nowhere—everything was fine until about six months ago.
Then, out of nowhere, the hair on the right side just quit showing up, and yeah, it’s been stuck like that ever since.
It’s driving me absolutely nuts because it looks super obvious, and it basically means I can't even rock the beard look anymore without looking patchy.
I actually went to see a dermatologist about it, but they were zero help at all, acting like this is just "totally normal" for me.🤷
Thanks.

If that patch where the hair isn't growing looks like a fingerprint—you know, kind of an oval shape—there's a chance you're dealing with alopecia areata. That can be triggered by stress or even if your body is fighting off something else, like an infection or inflammation near a tooth root or a sore throat.

Caffeine addiction? in Health ·
Sophia Gomez47 said:hey there!👋

So, here's my deal: my blood pressure is through the roof right now. I'm currently running every single test under the sun to figure out why, and obviously, my doctor has strictly banned caffeine, tea, and anything else that spikes hypertension. My big question is: does anyone know of a caffeine substitute that actually works to wake me up? Red Bull and those energy drinks are all caffeine-based, so I was wondering if anyone knows something natural with similar effects? Thanks in advance 🙂

aloha!👋

Try some stretching or a quick jog. That’ll definitely wake you up. Or whatever else usually gets you moving. Honestly, coffee doesn't even touch me anymore because I drink it constantly. I could chug a cup of coffee and go straight back to sleep. But once I start working out? There's no going back to bed for me.

So here’s some lady claiming that protein powder made her gain weight over . She’s acting like she’s suddenly massive because of all the protein, even though she was practically skin and bones just yesterday

Keep telling yourself that if it helps you sleep at night. It doesn't necessarily kill them, but the brains of chronic smokers are objectively smaller than those of regular people. Plus, there’s a massive chance they end up having kids with serious developmental issues. It's all been proven.

Flying has always been the dream for me.🙂

So, what, you’re actually planning on taking your own life instead of just dying of old age?

I'm honestly hoping for something quick and painless. Like a massive heart attack when I'm 70 so I don't lose my mind completely!

Just imagine surviving only to spend the next ten years living as a total invalid.

I’d rather just drift off peacefully and wake up in paradise.😁

Dealing with hemorrhoids in Health ·
silentcyclist74 said:So, I'm not sure if this belongs here, but I've been hearing rumors that reading on the toilet can actually give you hemorrhoids.
Do you guys read while you're sitting there? And why do we even do it?
Personally, I can't get inspired without my morning paper, so is this some kind of psychological thing?

Well, it really depends on what you're reading. Honestly, sometimes certain articles in the news give me diarrhea, others trigger an allergy, or even make my blood pressure spike... so yeah, there's probably a way you could end up with those hemorrhoids from just reading.

For example, when I read about how everything is getting more expensive, it definitely hits my blood pressure. And whenever I read about "honesty" or "integrity" from certain politicians or big-shot CEOs, it pretty much sends me straight to the bathroom.
Stranger and Chromotherapy in Health ·
To me feels a bit like aromatherapy. Sure, you might relax a little and feel good, but I don't buy the idea that it can actually cure an organic disease.

I honestly think you're better off hitting up a club and just vibing in front of the light show. That’s basically chromotherapy mixed with music therapy for you.😂 It's way cheaper, and you actually have a blast while doing it.

It honestly breaks my heart to think about someone else carrying my blood...😂

Plus, I get totally nauseous just thinking about the idea of me having someone else's blood in my system.... ugh...😢

I'm actually the total opposite. Just the thought that I helped save a life is way stronger than any discomfort. Honestly, when I look at those gross feelings I get while they're drawing my blood, knowing it’s literally saving a life changes everything. When you look at it that way, there's no comparison. Knowing I'm doing something good just fills me up.
