Here’s a little nugget of wisdom that I bet hasn't crossed anyone's mind yet. You want to know the absolute best sport for self-defense? Track and field, obviously. 🙂 Think about it. If you're facing off against some thief, you can easily just land a solid punch to the ribs. But if you just bolt? They won't even bother chasing you. Most thieves are nothing but lazy bums who steal because they're too unmotivated to work, so they aren't going to break a sweat running after you. Or, if they're junkies, they usually have zero cardio anyway. Just run somewhere they wouldn't even think of looking.

Matthew Anderson4 said:here are a few more pro tips for you:

-when you head to the beach, slather on SPF 30 or higher and stick to the shade
-if a bear attacks, drop to your stomach and play dead
-if you aren't brave enough for that, just sprint downhill because bears are slower going downhill than uphill (or vice versa, who knows)
-never walk up to a lady and say "hey girl, I want to sleep with you"... ever

hit me with some more wisdom.

I'll throw one out there too regarding how to avoid a bear attack. Just stay away from them. Keep your distance. If you do that, the chances of a bear attacking you are tiny. Or like my neighbors say—don't poke the bear.

One more tip about snakes. Don't go sticking your hand into holes in the wild or under rocks. If you do, your chances of getting bitten are way lower.
Urine and acne: Does it actually work? in Health ·
Grace Turner85 said:I’m guessing some lady mentioned using urea-based products in an interview, and the media immediately blew it way out of proportion. They turned a tiny thing into a massive headline just to sell papers, making it sound like she's literally washing her face with urine.

Let’s be real, even a toddler wouldn't be that crazy...

That’s exactly what I thought until I met this yoga crowd who actually drink it. They swear by it because they claim it's super healthy and can even cure cancer! Their guru even wrote a whole book about it.

Honestly, that sounds way better than some people figuring out that rubbing morning poop on your face is a "beauty hack." They’ll all end up looking like they have soot smeared all over their skin.

Can someone with an Apple and a car with a remote key fob check this out? Let me know if anything actually happens.??😕😕😕

The thing about the Apple battery doesn't work, and neither does the car remote trick.

The only thing that works is the 911 part. I know because I’ve called them before when some junkies set a house on fire. Also, the Apple serial number trick works. I'm not sure if the phone locks up when you call the carrier since I haven't tried that, but once you type that sequence in, the serial number pops up right on the screen.

This is absolute nonsense. Someone fell for a total scam, and now everyone’s getting flooded with these emails and passing them along like they actually matter.

I called my bank just to double-check the whole thing.
At first, there was some serious disbelief and a bit of a panic on their end. They even pulled in the managers, who had to verify my identity before realizing this wasn't some official audit or an actual emergency. Once they cooled off, they told me straight up that this stuff about reversed PINs is complete garbage.

If anyone actually tries to follow this "trick," the only thing they're going to get is a beating from a thief.

So, what if it turns out urine isn't actually toxic, or at least not in small amounts? Would that mean it’s totally fine to drink it just because you've got a headache?

I honestly think the whole point isn't even about whether it's poisonous or not. It's more about whether the person thinking about drinking it has completely lost their marbles.
I’m telling you, some greasy, lukewarm breakfast burrito paired with ice-cold water would send anyone straight to the bathroom immediately.

if you're doing it every single day

Look, my take? It's gross. It's basically just nasty pee. Whether it’s actually toxic or not—and exactly how much it takes to make you sick—is really what matters for anyone actually drinking it.

I once heard about this totally unhinged yoga guru who actually taught his followers to drink their own urine. Apparently, some guys who were flexible enough even went as far as putting their junk in their mouths to drink it straight from the source.

And get this—they’re actually bragging about it! This guru is out here claiming it can cure cancer. Honestly, if you try that, the only thing you're curing is your sanity, not any disease.

mistyranger11 said:I had some work done on tooth number 6 by Dr. Azinović. He did a solid job, but then I started reading online that after you get the canals cleaned and filled, you absolutely have to get an X-ray, plus a few more over the next year or two. He didn't mention any of that to me, so I'll just ask him when I see him again. 🙂

That’s just not true; there isn't some mandatory rule about getting an X-ray right after a root canal filling.

mellowgull60 said:I used to be super active with soccer, boxing, and basketball, but I had to take a break about 3 or 4 months ago. Now my cardio is basically non-existent. Since I actually have some free time now, I'm wondering if I can get back into shape just by running, and how much daily mileage I should aim for. Thanks for the help—any advice is appreciated! 😁. 🙂

Man, I came back after a 9-year hiatus where the only thing I ran after was the bus. I can tell you exactly how I handled it. I started out easy, just running based on how I felt and keeping an eye on my heart rate. As my fitness improved, I gradually increased my distance, and within two months, I could go for an hour and a half straight. I also hit the gym, starting slow there too. For the first month or two, I was dealing with constant aches—not just muscle soreness, but actual joint/load pain—but now, three months in, I feel totally fine.

I feel like it’ll take me a few more months (maybe even longer) to get back to peak performance because my break was way too long, but for you, a 3-4 month gap shouldn't be a huge deal. Just don't overdo it right at the start. If you push too hard too fast, you'll just end up slowing down your comeback.

Look, I don't think we need to go into full panic mode here. If you already know your liver is acting up, just cut out those two beers a day. And honestly? Skip the Coke too. You should try to avoid anything processed as much as possible. Stick to the natural stuff because all that artificial junk just puts a massive strain on your system.

I have a buddy of mine who works on a highway construction crew out in Texas. He’s been having some liver issues lately, even though he doesn't touch any of the stuff that usually causes problems. It turns out, just being around all the heavy chemicals used in construction was enough to do the damage. Those fumes are definitely not something you want to be breathing in all day.

So, I swung by the American Red Cross around 1:00 PM today, and honestly? It was a ghost town. The nurse there told me I was actually only the fourth person to show up all morning to donate. They’ve only managed to collect four units of blood so far, when they really need about 35 just to keep things steady. She mentioned this one massive pile-up on the highway where a woman needed 50 units to survive. That gives you a pretty scary idea of how much we're lacking right now.

Calling on all the women and men from Miami who are feeling healthy and good to step up and donate some blood.
