Well, yeah, just so everyone is on the same page here... since he’s an American citizen, all those stories about him living some kind of radical insurgent lifestyle just don't hold any water anymore...

Nicholas Moore9 said:Look, I’m sorry, but you can find just about anything out there in the West, especially compared to how things used to be back in the day...

Are you working for some government agency or something? Have you actually spent your whole life traveling through the West, or... honestly, man, I could say the exact same thing about the North: "Yeah, there's all kinds of stuff up North... more than before, but less now"... it doesn't mean much, does it?
Real Americans gave their lives for this cause from the very moment it started, and the people who stood on the front lines to defend our country were the same ones who have been part of this movement since day one... so I have to wonder, where are you even getting these ideas from? Where did this belief come from... who was even there at those early rallies back in the spring of '90, those agitators from the coast???

@Nicholas Moore9/">@@Nicholas Moore9... what you're saying just doesn't make any sense at all 😉

Do you actually have some other source to go on, or are we just looking at a pile of random junk without any real substance or foundation here? Seriously, if you think you've stumbled onto some different truth, please, do tell me...

Nicholas Moore9 said:If that guy ever actually signed a contract to play for Los Angeles FC, it would be like he was signing his own death warrant... honestly, I mean it...

I just don't get it... I mean, what's actually the difference between those two guys... someone please explain it to me...

Nicholas Moore9 said:I honestly don't know... I really mean it, if that group had just stepped up and dealt with the situation right then and there, right at the source, everything might have turned out differently... But you know, if you look closely at how things actually work, it’s pretty obvious that nobody is ever going to step up and kick out their own kind...

Maybe you could dial back the nonsense just a little bit, if only out of some basic respect for these guys...

I was just sitting here looking at this photo from back in the day, you know, scrolling through some old files and this one popped up... it’s hard to believe how much things have changed since those moments in Seattle, seeing everyone gathered together like that, and it really makes you think about how much heart people used to put into everything they did... it’s funny how a single image can pull you right back into the middle of the crowd, feeling that energy again, even if it's just a memory now...

Nicholas Moore9 said:What kind of wrong assumptions are we even talking about here regarding your away games?? I really can't say I agree with that assessment at all! If you aren't actually traveling to see them play, why not just look at some photos online? Isn't that what the internet is there for anyway?...

Man, you're really getting ahead of yourself here... you started out throwing around these intense insults about counting blood cells, and somehow you've spiraled into counting people based on how many away games they attend...

Look, man, whatever nonsense you got dealt by those guys wearing Navy hats out in the sticks, and deciding that you're going to hold a grudge against Cleveland for the rest of your life because of it... well, that's honestly just your own problem to deal with... and maybe it's best to just drop this whole topic if you don't have anything meaningful left to contribute...

I was just sitting here thinking about how much things have changed lately, and honestly, it feels like we’re all just trying to find our footing in a world that moves way too fast... you know? I was reading some old threads from back in the day, and it really makes you realize how much the landscape has shifted, both in terms of where we stand and how we talk to each other... It’s funny how certain names pop up and immediately bring back those specific feelings, like looking at an old photo album where everything looks brighter than it actually was... anyway, I don't mean to ramble on, but sometimes you just need to get these thoughts out there before they drift away into nothingness... turns out, life isn't quite what we expected when we were younger, is it? kaže:
I mean, I’m sitting here looking at this whole thread about the Fleet, and I can't help but wonder... is anyone actually here because they have any real connection to the Fleet at all? It feels like everyone is just talking, but nobody actually belongs to the group...🤔

🙏🙏🙏

Hey @Nicholas Moore9... I was just sitting here thinking about that old thread on the "Bad Boys"... you know, the one where nobody ever actually says anything at all... zero replies, just total silence in the void... it's kind of funny if you think about it, how we can all gather around a topic like that and then just... nothing... just empty space where the conversation should be... anyway, just a thought while I'm sitting here...

🤣

Look, you honestly have no idea what my actual connection to the Fleet is or if I even have one, so there's really no point in you talking nonsense about it...

Nicholas Moore9 said:hold on, what’s the general vibe from the crowd regarding that guy?

Well, it was pretty much like this for the entire first season down in Miami:
"Zilic, Zilic, you stinking piece of trash, total traitor, we all hate you, you absolute moron..." set to the tune of Abba's "Super Troopers" 🙂 (or maybe "Far Away...", though I think "Super Troopers" just flows better...)

Sean Nguyen4 said:I honestly think you have a pretty good hunch about who actually planned this whole thing... it definitely wasn't some group of harmless old ladies from Monty Python... 😉

Look, I wasn't trying to point fingers at anyone specifically, I was just sharing my take on how every action tends to trigger its own reaction... and if you ask me, it could have been anything from a rogue agency to the Spanish Inquisition... though nobody ever expects them anyway... 😉

Sean Nguyen4 said:I mean, personally, I actually enjoy following this forum... I haven't really gotten the sense that the general vibe at forza-fiume.com is to just constantly bash the Navy.

It’s not like I ever brought that up anywhere else 🙂...

copperdriver21 said:1/a) why the need to mock San Diego residents by claiming they "don't have a soccer supporter group"?
even if we set aside the intense Ultras presence in town, people are just people everywhere! you don't necessarily have to be a die-hard fan to get caught up in the moment, sometimes the raw emotion of the crowd just takes over...

Hmm, yeah... I actually happened to be in San Diego this past summer when they were playing against Hajduk Split... the whole city felt like a total war zone 🙄...

...on a completely different note, I've always had a lot of respect for the Funcut fans 🙏
Sean Nguyen4 said:It’s not about being some little journalist... It’s more about the fact that this page and forum have a different vibe than the official Navy pages. Let's put it this way, the Navy forum has really shaped itself into a spot specifically for the Ultras, whereas this one is more for everyone else...

Everything there is fair enough, but if you're going to choose to bash a group that deserves so much credit for building our city's identity, then I suppose you should be prepared for certain repercussions... and look, I didn't agree with how things were handled regarding Žilić either, but even then, it never crossed my mind to just start trashing them, because honestly, that would feel like I was trashing myself... man, I mean, if it were a real issue causing, let's say, a massive rift in the club, but instead it's just some goalie we brought in from overseas... whatever. Who is actually trying to tear us apart here?

Edward Hernandez332 said:instead, you have those BBB fans who show up in town the next day all hyped up, just wandering around the historic district like they're nothing more than tourists...

Sadly, it's the truth... and honestly, it isn't even just limited to the old part of town...

boldhound8 said:Laugh if you want, but the reality is you guys totally folded in San Diego—at least according to what I'm hearing—in two separate incidents...

Man, San Diego just isn't what it used to be...😁

Let's look at this logically... it's been two days since the match, and after talking to someone actually down there in the stands—someone I have no reason to doubt, especially since they gave me such a precise account of what went down in Newark earlier this season, which seems like the most plausible version of events now—it really doesn't seem like anything happened... I don't know where your sources are coming from or who exactly they claim got jumped, but I'm certain it wasn't the Navy group... and honestly, I try not to comment on rumors until things are verified, so I wanted to wait until I heard firsthand about this supposed massive brawl involving LA Galaxy fans.
Edward Hernandez332 said:They act like they're the third biggest supporter group in the US, claiming to be an absolute powerhouse, only to end up getting beaten down in San Diego, a place that barely even has a dedicated football following (unless you count the local Ultras)...

Were you actually down there? Because I'd love to know who exactly was getting beat up, since I can't seem to find any info on that...🤷

Sean Nguyen4 said:So you're saying the Navy organized it?

No.

Edward Hernandez332 said:Yeah, the timing is just bizarre.
I heard they were running into some issues down in San Diego with the local sheriffs 🤣

Look, man, I know you've always been against the Navy, but there's really no need to force these kinds of jokes...

Listen, I was just thinking about how much people here absolutely tore them apart over that whole vein scandal on this forum, and honestly, it kind of blows my mind how much time has actually passed since it all went down...

Christian Bale plays this role with such a hauntingly perfect darkness, especially when he's all thin and gaunt, just moving so slow... almost like he's self-destructing... I don't know, the whole movie was pretty heavy for me, really gets inside your head... but, hey, that's just how I roll...

I honestly feel like Machinist could be listed right there in the dictionary as the literal definition of the word "morbid"... I mean, anyone who’s actually been paying attention knows exactly what I’m getting at... you really could say he's morbid in every possible sense of the term...

Schindler's List... you know, I was just sitting here thinking about how some films don't just tell a story, they sort of leave a permanent mark on your soul, and for me, that's always been Schindler's List... it's one of those heavy, devastating masterpieces that stays with you long after the credits roll, making you stare at the wall in silence for a good while... there’s just something about the way it captures the sheer scale of human cruelty balanced against those tiny, flickering moments of individual courage that feels almost too much to bear sometimes... it really makes you wonder about the weight of responsibility and what it actually means to stand up when everything around you is falling apart...
The Machinist... I’ve been sitting here thinking about it for a while now, just letting those images swirl around in my head, and honestly, it hits different every time you revisit it... It’s one of those films that doesn't just play on a screen, it sort of seeps into your skin, making you feel that heavy, hollow exhaustion that the main character carries through every frame... You watch him, this guy living on nothing but caffeine and sheer willpower, and you can't help but wonder where the line is between reality and the crushing weight of a guilty conscience... It’s such a visceral, gritty descent into madness, much like something you might see from Haneke if he decided to lean into a more psychological noir vibe, though it has its own distinct, haunting rhythm... There’s a certain darkness there, a loneliness that feels almost universal, even if we aren't all living through his specific nightmare... I find myself drifting back to how it compares to Schindler's List The Machinist, looking at those themes of penance and the impossible struggle to live with what you've done... It stays with you, long after the credits roll, leaving you staring at the wall, wondering just how much of ourselves we hide from the world...

Hey, let’s get serious for a second, without throwing out those "good" movies just to stir up an argument... you guys really aren't, but you haven't actually sat through a boring movie if you haven't watched this right here 🙂🙂

It’s basically just about a lawyer who finally develops a conscience, if you want the short version... 👍

...but it seems like Amanda Nguyen5 has already made up her mind about a lot of things here, and honestly, it feels like she hasn't even actually watched the film...
