Hey ladies! If you're hunting for a band, you seriously need to check out Greg from Kansas City. We hired them for a wedding about 7 months ago and everyone absolutely lost it—in a good way. They've got clips on YouTube if you want to hear them for yourself. They’re legit wedding pros and even bring their own backing tracks for the day. They cost us about $1,200, but honestly? Seeing how much the guests loved them made it totally worth it. 😍
Jessica Jackson13 said:I haven't seen much being said about this here lately, or maybe I just missed it, but I’m curious—for those of you getting married in a church, how did you handle the music situation? Did you go with someone well-known in the community or just someone from within your own congregation? We’re kind of hitting a wall with our planning right now, so I’m trying to figure out what our actual options are. We were supposed to have this all squared away by now, but honestly, the whole thing just fell through at the last minute.🙂 Help!
Usually, the priest just calls over a girl who plays the organ at the parish to handle the wedding. Honestly, it just depends on which church you're dealing with.
Honestly, I don't see newlyweds doing the whole table-hopping thing all the time—it’s rare, right? But I made sure to hit up my side of the room just because I hadn't seen my family in forever and wanted to say a quick hi. My husband thought it was kind of pointless—whatever—so I just zipped from table to table myself, checked if everyone was good, and then went right back to partying 🙂
Alexander Thompson93 said:I’ve actually heard some rumors that their gold isn't the best quality, though. Like, apparently the plating starts changing color after just a year or two...
idk.. we went with a place we actually trust, where my sister bought her stuff 15 years ago. We're totally fine with it!!
Nicholas Davis40 said:How much did you guys end up dropping on wedding rings? And more importantly—which jeweler is actually worth the hype? 😉
Honestly, if you can swing it, just drive over to Canada to pick them up. Either a small town in the Midwest or a small town in the Midwest works. We grabbed some yellow gold pieces in a small town in the Midwest for $733, which was a steal—back home they were asking $3,800 for the exact same thing
driftingjackal9 said:Hey, quick question—has anyone here ever been glammed up by Ana Cvitić? She works over at Stephanie’s bridal boutique in VK. I actually picked out my wedding dress there, and she mentioned she does makeup on the side. I've heard some decent things, but I wanted to see if anyone here has actually used her before. Any reviews? 😉
Ann is great at makeup—period. At least from what I’ve seen, several brides I know used her and they were all totally stoked.
Sam Campbell2 said:Hey quietcobra52, would you mind sharing what they charge per pound for the cookies? And if you have any idea about their cake pricing—like for just regular cakes or those fancy wedding ones? I'm trying to get a feel for the budget! Thanks so much! 🙂
Just basic cakes—nothing to write home about. $37 We had about a dozen of them—just some teenagers hanging around a four-story building. What a mess. $177And they’re starting at $500—not even kidding—plus you gotta pay by the pound for the cake itself... seriously? $22
Christian Thompson9 said:How much does a cookie from babin greda cost? And do they ever do any kind of discount at the trade show?
Honestly, they didn't do anything for me at the fair—even though they promised a discount. For our crowd of 400, between the cookies and the wedding cake, we ended up paying about $1167

A couple of my girlfriends and an acquaintance of mine all used her for floral arrangements, and they were absolutely thrilled with the results. I would have to double-check the specific name later on, though I find it hard to believe there are five different florists in a town like Ivankov. Her pricing is quite reasonable, but you really do need to call ahead and schedule an appointment, mostly because she stays so incredibly booked up.
I actually used that same woman for flowers and decor about two months back... Honestly, what she pulled off for $433 😍 was nothing short of a miracle.
northernseal15 said:Laura Ivankovo's venue - any reviews? Does anyone know a good local baker for cakes and pastries? What's typically included in the price? Thanks 🙂
Laura, seriously gorgeous! If they weren't already booked up, we'd be there in a heartbeat. The place is stunning and everything else is just top-tier.
Alright, since mine is officially in the books, I figured I’d drop some intel for anyone hunting for vendors around the Vincennes area:
Person: 400 Venue: Ivanov Castle in Ivankov—huge shoutout to the staff there, seriously, they were on it 24/7 for everyone! Major props to the owners too for sticking by us all night. Band: Greg from Slavonija—we were stoked, honestly. Great price, killer quality, and when we chatted with guests afterward, everyone was raving about their setlist... MASSIVE thumbs up for this band!!! Cakes: Babin Greda—not much to say here, they just absolutely nailed it. Photo: Picasso from El Paso, just two guys—super chill, easy to work with, and pretty budget-friendly. Photos were ready just a week after the wedding, and the DVD came two weeks later. We loved them, and the shots look amazing!! Wedding Dress: Nikolina Vinkovci—the ladies there are so sweet. Flower: Rose Valentine from Ivankov—for $433 we got the full setup: venue decor, car, bouquet, boutonniere, and even the head table styling. Tent at my place: for 70 people $167
If you need anything else, just holler. We kept things pretty affordable, so if you're watching your wallet, hit me up via PM.
Here’s how things work at my local flower shop near Ivankov—I’ve got a wedding this Saturday, and we need to swing by around noon to get the car decorated. We’ll grab the bouquet and boutonniere right before heading out to pick up the bride. I mean, you could technically grab the flowers while the car is being decked out, but only if the shop is super close... otherwise, that's just not how anyone does it.

Preach! They used to be decent, but now? Total trash. A few of my buddies hired him for video and photo work and he absolutely trashed their stuff. Look, the guys aren't bad people—not by a long shot—but they've seriously lost their touch lately.
So, I'm out here cranking out these bows for car decorating—do I really need to slap one on both side mirrors, or is just doing one enough? Just trying to figure out the vibe while I'm making them 😁
silentraven18 said:If you're up for it, maybe send over a few photos from your shopping trip? I'm really curious to see what kind of sashes they have 🙂
I actually grabbed my pins right here—just take a look through the photos: https://www.facebook.com/pages/SAMIR...=photos_stream
mellowsurfer41 said:I went last year and honestly didn't find anything. Sure, they have boutonnieres, bows, and ribbon... but as far as wedding dresses go, zero points. That's just my take. It’s all kind of tacky and over-the-top. I don't know how it is now, maybe they have more variety 😉 As for the suits, they are definitely cheaper than what we have here in the States 🙂 Hope I didn't offend anyone, just my opinion🤷
Same here—when I went last year, the dresses were a total nightmare, which is why I didn't even bother picking one there. But looking at photos today... it's a whole different story. Yeah, some are still tacky, but there are actually some stunning ones out there now.
Hey! Just got back from the mall in Arizona and finally scored all my decor for $100 (honestly, the red and white streamers—20 meters of them!, 10 rolls for making those wedding bows, 3 packs of heavy-duty ribbon, 200 balloons, some tiny floral bits for when they pick me up at my tent, 30 meters of twine for the rosemary, and 20 cookie boxes for about a pound each plus some satin ribbons for the tables)... I am seriously obsessed. Plus, at this one balloon shop, they gave me a business card for their site—ladies, you have no idea how stunning their bridal gowns are (I saw them in person at the mall), and they’re only like $60 to $90! If any of you can make it out to the mall, seriously go hunt for dresses there because they're cheap and gorgeous... Oh, and my guy found an amazing black suit for 37 miles (pants and jacket) plus a shirt and tie for just 12 miles. Also, since everything has to be strictly taxed now, a lot of shops are just closing down or having massive clearance sales 😍
Hey, what's up? Just hanging out—not that anyone actually cares. What's the deal with everything lately? Just another day in this mess. kaže: How many times a day were you knocking back vodka—and how long does that stuff actually stay in your system before you're "functional" again? Hey, have you ever tried drinking raspberry leaf during your period? I heard it can actually lighten things up—like, if you usually deal with heavy flows, maybe it helps dial them back a bit? If you’ve actually used it before, let me know—I need the real scoop. 😉
So, I was sipping on nettle tea every single morning for four months straight—basically swapped my morning coffee for one cup a day—throughout my entire cycle. I would’ve kept going, but I had to head out for the summer season at the beach where work was non-stop and there was zero way to brew and strain stuff properly. Before this, my period was a seven-day nightmare—heavy, painful, totally useless for a week. But after just one month of the tea? It dropped to five days, less bleeding, way less pain, until the cramps basically vanished. Now, I haven't touched the stuff in three months, and it's day four of my cycle right now... zero pain. It feels weird, especially since I've been hitting the gym regularly lately, which used to be a total impossibility. I don't know—I know it doesn't work for everyone, but I went with nettle because, let's face it, it's cheap.$3.75 So, you go to the pharmacy and that one box costs you like a month or even a month and a half's worth of cash—insane, right? Still, maybe worth a shot... I mean, every med or supplement hits everyone differently anyway. If you give it a go, let me know how it actually works for you. 😉
