vBulletin isn't any better than something like SMF... I've messed around with vBulletin, MyBB, phpBB, SMF, and plenty of others... In my experience, SMF is the winner. vBulletin is just a hyped-up name.😉

Hey guys, this forum is getting pretty massive, so I’ve figured it’s way easier to just chip away at backups a little bit every day rather than trying to tackle one giant monster once a month. That would take forever. Honestly, looking at how things are running, it feels like vBulletin can barely handle the load—it's basically just a brand name you pay a premium for without much to show for it. And I don't really get why anyone would bother with membership fees when you could just run a few smart ads and afford a server that handles twice this much traffic, plus an extra one just for backups...

Honestly, who cares? They just throw stuff at the wall to see what sticks. There isn't even a single expert in the room to actually build it right, but hey, as long as the money keeps flowing into their pockets, they're happy enough.😂

Look, that’s just an issue on the forum's end, nothing to do with us. Their servers have been acting super glitchy lately, honestly kind of weird.

I mean, Orbis’s own website says they're switching over to the absolute best, Verizon. So everything feels fine right now, but once they actually make the move? I’m gonna be stuck manually configuring fixed IPs and unplugging stuff from the wall constantly just to get it to behave. Good grief.🤣
