1. There’s no such thing as a "subforum admin." An Admin—short for Administrator—is the person with access to the Admin CP. They handle the heavy lifting: managing the site, opening or closing threads, everything. They’re also the ones who appoint or swap out moderators and supermods.

2. Go hang out in one of the newer forums and just ask. Maybe they'll hand you the keys to the Admin CP.🤷

It’s funny how he pops up the second I post. Even before he was a moderator. It’s like he’s always lurking in the shadows. 🙂 Just like he’s waiting to get me now. 🙂

We’ve been at this for a long time. Long before he got that mod badge. Anyone who follows the drama knows. He acts like some bitter old auntie.

Since the moderators here are untouchable, all I have left is swearing. And because I actually held my tongue, I was "appropriately" rewarded.

A lot of things on this site drive me crazy, but I stay quiet. Like when I see people quoting a post that isn't even theirs. 🤦 Just massive walls of text. And the worst part? It’s not the newbies doing it; it’s the veterans who have been here longer than me. Heck, even longer than you, Olivia Moore51.

And then there's that infamous dotting. I can barely see. That excessive dotting irritates me so much I can't even read it. The dots just dance in front of my eyes. It's awful.

I don't see anyone actually insulting those types of users.

Regardless, all of this could have been avoided.

P.S. I haven't been on this forum for very long, so I forgot the rules about images. But regardless, I always edit my posts, swap out pictures, and fix typos. It's just that he’s always lying in wait. Just hunting for 😲

I've been following this debate for a while now. Honestly, does anyone actually believe that what we're seeing today is progress? We talk about moving forward, but are we really just circling the drain? It feels like everyone is shouting, yet nobody is actually listening. You see people making these massive, sweeping claims about the economy or social shifts, but where is the substance? Where is the actual proof? It’s all noise. Is it just me, or is everyone else just as exhausted by the constant theater?

I earned my ban because I’m just not the type to complain. If he wants to throw insults, I can certainly send him packing. But since this guy is such a coward, he went ahead and banned me instead. So, here I am, filing an appeal.

The admin and supermod have the links. Since this "wonderful" moderator was actually the one who insulted me first, I’d like to see some action taken regarding that. You might as well ban this post too.

It was about the image dimensions. I’ve spent time on other forums where the image posting is more advanced—you know, where they automatically resize everything for you. I got lazy and stopped checking file sizes altogether. I just click and link. But then I noticed one turned out massive and went to edit it. In the middle of that, some "wonderful" moderator swooped in and started insulting me.

Exactly. I have the right to edit my posts by default within a 90-minute window. But over on the banned users' Corner, editing is off the table and emojis are forbidden.

Here’s the real question: if I have the right to edit a post, does that mean I actually have the right to fix a mistake? Or not? Am I just going to be insulted, mocked, or straight-up banned by some "brilliant" moderator for trying?

Second question: am I supposed to just sit here while a moderator insults me with total impunity?

So, is the question whether I actually have the right to edit my post within a 90-minute window or not?

As far as I know, you can still edit your posts. You just have to do it within 90 minutes of hitting send if you missed something, right?

So, here's what I'm wondering: once I finally clear out my inbox enough space, will I actually receive that message I tried to send to myself? Or would you be the one getting this message from the start of my post? Basically, does it stay saved somewhere, kind of like how things work on an iPhone?

I mean, I know I could easily check by deleting some messages right now to see if it delivers, but honestly, I'd much rather just leave my PM folder completely stuffed.
Besides, most of the "difficult" cases usually end up sliding into my DMs anyway😁, so having a full inbox would actually be a pretty genius way to dodge them!

You can disable private messages. There are two ways to do it:

If you just shut the whole thing down, you won't be able to send anything, and nobody can reach you either. Of course, you’ll still get that ban notification regardless.

Just switch the settings so only moderators and people on your contact list can reach you. That way, random nobodies won't be blowing up your inbox, but you can still exchange messages with the people who actually matter. That’s my setup. Go ahead, try sending me a DM—you won't be able to because you aren't on my list. Jane Doe can still message me since she’s a moderator, even though she isn't on my contact list either.
