Look, if you actually tore a ligament during that move—which happens more often than people think—you’re looking at a recovery process that could drag on for months.
I messed up my wrist doing some home renovations a couple of months back, and honestly, it still flares up. I try to push through it as much as possible, though my doctor suggested I wear a brace just to force myself to actually take it easy for once.
Maybe see if you can adjust how you work so you aren't straining that arm, and definitely don't sleep on it or try lifting anything heavy.
It’ll get better, but you've just gotta be patient.
Since when did carbs become something you just "flush out"?
Maybe try upping your fiber intake—get some more fruit and veggies in there.
And honestly, if you’re drinking ice-cold water, you’re probably going to deal with an upset stomach before you ever worry about constipation.
Anyone here dealt with this condition before?
Basically, the collagen in the deeper layers of the skin just starts breaking down. It triggers this constant stinging, aching, and itching, but since the issue isn't on the surface, you can throw all the creams in the world at it and nothing works.
All in all, it’s the kind of thing that won't kill you—unless it starts hitting your internal organs—but it'll absolutely wreck your quality of life.
Any thoughts?
Jadrešić at the University Health Clinic near Times Square. She seems a little strict, but she’s actually great.
My right wrist is killing me in Health ·
Chris Sanchez11 said:Not an option. My entire livelihood depends on being at my desk...

Man... Maybe try picking up one of those gel wrist rests for your right hand? The kind you put down by the mouse to keep things feeling more natural. It might also be worth looking at the whole setup—the keyboard, your chair, how the desk sits against your arms. There’s usually some room to tweak the geometry and make it work better.

The real issue with stuff like Deep Relief is that it just masks the pain. You start thinking you’re fine, push yourself too hard, and end up doing even more damage to the injury. It’s better to play it safe and bypass that temptation.
With injuries like this, the discomfort can linger for a couple of months—not trying to freak you out, just being realistic. Can you manage without using your computer for a bit? If so, try to give that arm a total break for a few days. It might actually give you a chance to start healing.
What do you guys think? in Health ·
This has happened to me three times now.
First time, I was singing in the choir during a communion service at a youth retreat (no laughing, please). I was 13, and they barely caught me before I hit the floor.
The second time was at a massive outdoor Mass for the Virgin Mary in Venice—we’re talking a million people. I was 15, and I actually managed to slip out unnoticed right before I passed out.
Then there was the third time. I was riding the bus to my summer job. I was 16, standing in a total crowd, and I just "missed" a few stops before someone finally helped me into a seat.
Since then, I've been fine. Mostly because I refuse to step foot on a crowded bus in the afternoon, and if a church gets too packed, I just say a quick prayer and make my exit. He'll understand. I just can't deal with crowded spaces anymore.
Look, I’ve got my own little garden plot 22 miles a bit of a drive from my house. I spend all my time out there weeding, spraying, tidying things up... but honestly, I don't mind. It's satisfying.
The thing is, you can't really get by without the sprays. There are pests everywhere; aphids absolutely decimated my beans (even though the folks at Home Depot swore that wouldn't happen), and blight wiped out my tomatoes because the humidity and heat were just the perfect storm. The only thing that hasn't touched me is the Colorado potato beetle. Not a single one of those.
I suppose I could try telling people that you can grow potatoes without any chemicals, but it's really just a matter of living in an area where the conditions are right for them. Nothing more to it.
Everything you said is spot on. Honestly, nothing beats the taste of a tomato you grew in your own backyard. As for those little bruises, it’s probably just because the crates were packed too tight—the stems end up digging into the fruit and leaving those marks behind.
Undescended Testicles (Cryptorchidism) in Health ·
People born with cryptorchidism are called cryptorchids. I actually know a guy in his 70s who deals with this, and honestly, you’d never know it. He isn't any different from anyone else—mentally or physically. He’s got two kids, he’s obsessed with football, and he’s killing it in his career... I think the only place this condition exists for him is in his own head.
There is one catch, though. You have to stay on top of it. Those undescended testicles can swell up or even turn into (benign) tumors, and if there's a hernia involved, things can get "pinched." I know that in animals, there's a tendency to move those testicles because they aren't functional anyway and just cause trouble. Unfortunately, I don't know how that plays out in humans.
