Justin Gray56, you can actually head over to the HP website and run the numbers yourself—just plug in the weight and see what the difference is between standard shipping and a tracked package, plus what the regular rates look like
. 😉 Or, honestly, just ask your aunt if she’s feeling helpful when you stop by the Post Office; she might give you the inside scoop on the cheapest way to go. It really just comes down to how much peace of mind you want—like, are you cool with basic shipping, or do you want to play it safe with tracking and declared value?
I honestly think you should ship the box as a package rather than just a certified letter
But honestly, shipping it as a package ends up being cheaper anyway—at least in my experience—and it’s way more secure. If it actually goes missing, you get the full declared value back. If a certified letter disappears, you’re basically stuck with just getting a tiny fraction of the postage refunded, which is peanuts
To make sure it goes through, just make sure you use white or a solid light-colored paper, like plain white or maybe some light kraft paper

Honestly, banning them doesn't really do much when they can just hop right back in under a different username... rude people are just going to be rude, there's no fixing that kind of attitude 🥳
Alright, thanks! 🙂
So, what if my aunt tells me I can't do it? Is there actually any point in trying to argue with her, or should I just let it go? 😬
If I end up being unable to send it as a package, would sending it via certified mail be a decent backup plan? 🤔
Can I just send this little yellow envelope as a standard package instead of using certified mail?
My thinking is—if I go the certified route and they lose it, I get back about three times the shipping cost, right? But if I send it as a package, I’d get whatever value I actually list on the label.
The thing I'm sending is pretty valuable, but it's tiny—not really "package" sized—so I still want to make sure I'm covered if things go sideways.
thx
Quick question...

I’ve sent out a few packages before—usually just a shoebox wrapped in white paper with a standard shipping label attached—and it was always pretty straightforward. I’d pay about $5.00 for items worth up to $33, and that was it. No surprise fees or anything extra for the person receiving it.
But the last thing I sent was to a girl living in a dorm in Chicago, and the mail carrier actually made her sign for it and pay an extra five bucks on the spot. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Any idea why she’d be hit with an extra five dollars?

Also, one more thing...

Is it okay to send something like a necklace in a regular envelope instead of one of those padded bubble mailers? I mean, since it's not flat like a sheet of paper, will that be an issue?

thx

I’ve also got some Levi's indigos I picked up in Graz (if you ever find yourself heading that way)... we should have that specific model hitting the shelves here in a month or two—checked with my aunt who works at Levi's, since I wanted another pair in a lighter wash, though it wouldn't have even 🤷...

Wait, where is there a Dillards around here? And which specific model are you rocking?
I tried Googling Levi's, but I couldn't track down that exact style—is that really what they call them? All I'm finding are "skinny indigo" or high-waisted stuff... does "indigo" just refer to the color 🤷

Looking for some baggy, boy-style trousers—you know, that oversized vibe—but specifically women's cuts that aren't too skimpy? I need something that actually covers me up when I sit down, thanks!

Hey quietpilot87, what are you doing with that lentil stew? Are you just boiling them or something? What’s the deal with the flavor—is it more like a hearty chili or what?

I found this recipe in Health & Beauty magazine—I haven't tried it yet, but I’m definitely planning to. Though, honestly, I'd probably use it as a sauce for something else rather than just tossing it on popcorn... because let's be real, you'd need like two massive bowls of popcorn just to make that much topping stick.

So, here is the Savory Glaze ---> just whisk together a teaspoon of sesame oil, a quarter teaspoon of curry powder (or chili if you want a kick), a quarter teaspoon of salt, and a quarter teaspoon of cumin.

And then there are these two other recipes. I'm not entirely sure how "healthy" they actually are, even though the article claims they are—truthfully, I don't think I'll bother trying them since I'm not a huge fan of the ingredients. 😬

Sweet Delight ---> chop up two fresh figs and place them at the bottom of a bowl with about a handful of raspberries. Drizzle over a tablespoon of honey, add about 2/3 cup of yogurt, and top it off with half a teaspoon of cocoa powder.

Creamy Spread ---> crumble up a good chunk of feta (or maybe some fresh goat cheese) and mix it with a big spoonful of heavy cream. Stir in a teaspoon of chopped basil and a teaspoon of sun-dried tomatoes. This would work great as a spread or just a side for some veggies.

Also, I tried adding Zoben oats to my ice cream and it was actually pretty good! 😁 Though, if I'm being honest, nothing beats those old-school cornmeal grits—the kind we first grew up with. It's probably not the healthiest thing ever, but 😳

I was wondering if anyone here knows of a top-tier burn specialist in the US—like, the absolute best or the go-to expert for burn care? If you have a specific name or a clinic recommendation, please let me know.
thanks!

Well, I finally worked up the nerve to join in—I didn't want to feel awkward just lurking while you all commented 😳
. I'm actually pretty happy with how my arms and thighs look, even though I took these photos recently after a bit of a roller coaster. Basically, I did six months of nothing, then two months of hitting the gym and eating right, followed by another month of being totally off track. I’m planning to get back into a solid routine at the gym in a week or so, so hopefully, I can slim down my legs a bit by next summer 😬

Here are two more shots of my legs in jeans, though honestly, I probably can't even see what I think is an issue

Regarding what’s happening over in Seattle—I just caught some really solid intel about Dr. Perkovič, but things aren't looking too great for Zaverski št.

So, I'm on the hunt for those Djimo Dimije flared jeans—you know, the ones that really "flow"... I spotted a pair at a boutique over in downtown Chicago, but they were $267 and I didn't exactly have the time to pull over and try them on. Does anyone know where I can find something similar without breaking the bank? Or if that's a bust, does anyone know if there’s a shop in St. Louis that carries that specific brand? I think it's named after some woman, 🤔... let me know

What’s actually going on here? Like, what is this, and where can I find it? Is it available down at Usko—should I just grab it then?

Thanks for the tip, Kimberly Rogers2 😉>

I’m still on the hunt for those low-rise jeans—and I don't mean *dangerously* low-rise. I tried this amazing cheap pair from Amadeus once, but the waist was so low I couldn't even sit down without a wardrobe malfunction! I really need them to have some stretch, you know? Like, plenty of elastane, and a tight fit through the legs... almost like jeggings. So far, the best I've found is just 2% elastane, which isn't really doing much. Is it even possible to find more than that?
If anyone knows where I can snag a pair, please let me know! 🙏>

So, you've got Lee in one corner and Wrangler in the other—it’s like comparing apples to oranges. Honestly, it feels like Wrangler just holds their own against Lee, kind of how a Mustang keeps pace with a Wrangler in a river race. 🤷
Jeans recommendations? in Fashion ·
Hey, just curious—are yours Wrangler or Lee at the end?😕

I honestly think "Lynn" is a password—it feels like one. You see stuff like that with Mustang, too. It’s like these female names just become codes for everything, or at least that's what I've noticed from what I've seen.
I’m totally digging those boots—honestly, I might have to go check out the Wranglers after the weekend is over. Thanks for the tip! 🙏 Mustangs look amazing on me—like, they fit perfectly around my calves—but honestly? They’re a total disaster for my backside. They just squeeze and flatten everything out in all the wrong ways. 👎
