Hey everyone. About two weeks ago, I noticed "something" red on my palate. No blisters, no open sores—just some slight discomfort. It felt like there was this tiny little lump under my tongue. Now, that spot has faded to a light red, but suddenly the exact same thing is popping up on the other side. :/ I looked up canker sores, but based on the descriptions, this isn't it. It doesn't even really hurt; I just feel that sensation under my tongue. I recently had a throat swab done and everything came back fine. I haven't been sick at all lately. Has anyone else dealt with something similar??? My teeth are perfectly fine 🤷 so what could be causing this? And one more thing... could this be a result of my partner having dental issues? 🙄 Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out. 😉

Thanks so much for always being there with such kind words. 🙂 While you were typing away, I was stuck at the urgent care clinic. The doctor told me it’s nothing to worry about—just a burst capillary. Seriously? That’s it? 🤷 It’s absolutely not dangerous. Nothing about this is risky. Why is everyone panicking? I’m absolutely losing my mind here. These skin flare-ups have been haunting me for months, and just when I thought I finally had everything under control, this happens. Seriously? Right now? Of all times? 😲 I really hope this was just a "minor" alarm and we aren't looking at a massive headache down the road. You know how these leaks go. They start small and then everything goes south. 😳 Everyone jumps to conclusions immediately. Thanks so much, Michelle Jones61! :**
melloworca6 said:It could be anything. A vein could have just given out. My girlfriend’s vein in her leg just popped out of nowhere, and she stays active, works out constantly, and doesn't even have one of those soul-crushing desk jobs where you're stuck on your feet all day. Why does this happen?
Does that even hurt you?
I don't know... it feels like I'm just burning up. You know how I get—I just totally freak out! I lose my mind! And honestly, I really needed that little moment... ugh! Now I feel like my muscles are starting to cramp up. 🤷 A suggestion? Is that what we're calling it now?! God help us!
Does anyone know what causes a bruise right on the forearm, specifically over a vein? I didn't hit anything, and there was no impact at all. It just showed up out of nowhere... what could possibly cause this? It's purple, about 3mm. 😢
Hey honey... I stumbled upon this site today. It covers everything from breast pain to herbal teas and soothing creams to help. Check it out:
Thanks so much, this is definitely going to be useful 😉 but honestly, I have nothing to worry about. I'm staying on top of my checkups, so... fingers crossed everything turns out fine. 🙂 😍
Brenda Watson65 said:Don't sweat it, honey... 😉 having fibrocystic changes doesn't necessarily mean you have tumors. It just means your breast tissue is more prone to cysts and lumps. It’s painful, I know, but unfortunately, that's just how it goes. 🙄 😢 So many women deal with breast pain—it's incredibly common. Honestly, I've heard there are certain teas and topical creams that help relax the tissue and actually make a difference with the discomfort. Do some digging, look into it... don't worry.😉
I definitely will, 😉 thank you. It's a relief to know I'm not alone in this. My hormones are probably just driving me crazy right now 😉 :*
🙄 My breasts hurt all the time, regardless of where I am in my cycle. I had an ultrasound back in May and everything supposedly came back perfect, yet the pain persists. Has anyone ever even mentioned mastopathy to me? No. 🙄 The left side is the worst because it’s slightly larger than the right. Every time that sharp, searing pain hits or the ache intensifies, I can't function. I honestly just die of fear inside. It's been especially brutal over the last two months, but since I just had a checkup, I feel like I'm getting nowhere. I feel so isolated because none of my girlfriends deal with anything like this. You people are the only ones who actually understand what I'm going through.😕
So, I just got back from the doctor. She’s telling me it’s some kind of broken capillary caught between two nail plates? Or something like that—I can't quite put my finger on the technicalities. According to her, it isn't dangerous. I just need to watch and see if it grows out with the nail. If it doesn't, she wants me to get a biopsy—just a little scraping of the area to run some tests. 🤷 Honestly, after everything I’ve read online, I’ve officially decided to stop searching for answers on the internet. I just can't help it; I spiral into a total panic and lose all control! No matter what you search for, it immediately jumps to "cancer this" or "cancer that!" It doesn't even matter now. For now, I just have to monitor it... She prescribed me Perfectil for a month and told me to massage my nails with almond oil since they're so brittle and lifeless. So, that's the plan. Talk to you all later! :*
Laura Brown29 said:I dealt with something similar once. I didn't know where to turn, so I tracked down this specific clinic right here in Washington, D.C. It’s a medical pedicure specialist, but don't call it a "salon"—that's not it at all. It's run by a woman from Germany who has over 20 years of experience; she's actually a registered nurse. Honestly, it didn't feel like a spa; it felt more like stepping into a high-end specialized outpatient clinic! The staff is incredibly kind, and the lady herself is a true professional. She performed an exam, gave me a diagnosis, and boom—problem solved almost immediately!!!!! If you can make it out there... let me know if you want her number. I'm a regular now!
I'm not from Washington, D.C., but fine, I'll listen to you people and head to the doctor today. 😉 It still looks weird to me, even if it seems harmless. I've been Googling everything under the sun... I just don't know... what could it be? To me, it looks safe enough, but whatever. Fine, okay. I'm going. You guys convinced me. Later!
wiredwalker86 said:Still, just to be safe, go consult a professional 😉 Dr. 😉
😉 I dig your username 😉 Honestly, why even bother with a doctor? It would be absolutely ridiculous to seek medical advice for something like this, wouldn't it? Cheers, Sarajka.😉
fadedmarlin402 said:Melanoma? Give me a break. 🙏 It’s probably just some kind of cyst.
👍 What would I even do without you? 😁 hehehe, glad to have your support.😉 But seriously, it’s barely even visible! I don't know why I'm so obsessed with diagnosing myself the second something shows up... Thanks a ton! 🙂
Larry Walker24 said:Well, how about you post a photo?
How on earth am I supposed to take a picture of that!? You won't be able to see a thing 🤷 It’s like a tiny blue line—thinner than if you’d drawn a stroke under your fingernail with a pencil. 🙄
Here I go again! I’m not panicking, okay? But this blue line just appeared under my thumb out of nowhere. 🙄 I've been scouring the internet... melanoma! 😳 I can't believe it! Is it really that simple!? I don't even remember hitting my hand 🤷—not that I can recall doing so. Just a thin blue line right in the middle of the nail, maybe 3mm... My God, what is happening to me? It's always something!!! Can someone please just give me some hope and tell me they've had this and it wasn't cancer? 🙂
melloworca6 said:Look, there’s no need to panic. Even if we're talking about hypothyroidism, it’s easily managed once you get on hormone replacement therapy (like Synthroid). If you've got more specific questions, feel free to grill us over in the thyroid discussion thread. 😉
Thanks so much. I'll wait until my consultation with the doctor and then check back in. 😉 I truly appreciate every single post from all of you. Thanks again! Talk soon. 😍
fadedmarlin402 said:I wouldn't go so far as to say they match. That nodule likely has nothing to do with this. When I talk about progression, I mean the condition moving toward "full-blown" hypothyroidism, where both your T3 and T4 levels start dropping. That’s when those nasty symptoms actually kick in. On the bright side, once you start hormone replacement therapy, you can keep the whole thing completely under control. Just see a specialist, stay on top of your blood work, and you’ll live a perfectly normal life.
Thanks a ton for the breakdown. I'll definitely be reaching out to a doctor. All the best!
fadedmarlin402 said:Yes, we’re looking at mild subclinical hypothyroidism here. You should reach out to an endocrinologist—someone specializing in hormone health—who can determine if you need further blood work, specifically testing for antibodies, and decide if starting you on levothyroxine makes sense. It isn't an emergency, but you really shouldn't sit on this. These things tend to progress if left unchecked, so it's better to get ahead of it now.
I'll admit I don't know much about this stuff, but hearing that it isn't dangerous is a relief. So, does this line up with what the ultrasound showed, or...? Now I just have to wait until next week since my doctor is out of town. Can someone explain what you meant by "this usually progresses"? Give it to me straight, keep it simple. 🙄 Thanks.
fadedheron892 said:Looks like mild hypothyroidism to me
So I see it's slightly elevated. I've read a bit about this, but nothing is clicking quite yet. Doesn't matter, though—I'll just wait until my doctor gets back to me. Can an ultrasound report actually be compared to these lab results?
