Real metalheads can't stand Cradle of Filth because they were the first extreme band to sell out the second they signed with Sony. If you're looking for those kind of commercial symphonic vibes, just give Dimmu Borgir a shot instead. I actually stumbled into one of their shows back when I was young and naive in Vienna... it was my very first encounter with the whole Satanic scene in my life.

Congrats!
No need for a "Fade to Black," sure. 🙂

Linda 😘
but I’m afraid you might have strayed a bit too far off track here
with your own topics 😁
It’s like "Seek and destroy"... let's be honest, we're all acting a bit neurotic—who even knows why? 🤷
(Maybe we're just die-hard Democratic Party supporters, or maybe we're just hooligans looking for trouble) and so what? Are we going to wander around town causing chaos,
smashing storefront windows and snatching lunch money from elementary schoolers? NO! That's why "Fade to black" fits...
one incredibly beautiful ballad 😍 about the utter futility of existence, about that generic emptiness that consumes a person
until it crosses the line into pure agony
blah blah blah, you know the drill ☕
so... 🙂
just admit defeat
lower the flag to half-mast. Or whatever else you've got lying around ☕

Alice of Mercy was sticking up for me, while Darla was coming at her—basically lecturing Alice for defending me just because I mentioned how much I dig her model-esque anatomy. In the end, Darla won the argument.

So, here is how I envision hell. Sorry, Linda King, but I have spent far too much time in rooms with metalheads who insist on debating every tiny detail regarding which subgenre is superior or more raw than the rest.

I would honestly be grateful if someone could spare me from such misery. On my personal scale of horrors, this is barely less agonizing than listening to board gamers argue over rulebooks, and it is certainly worse than hanging out after a Gnostic mass. 😠

I still don't see why they couldn't just stay there and put that guy on ignore. 🤷

Apologies if this gets a bit too personal, but what's actually the difference between a model's vulva and anyone else's?

Sorry, Linda King, but I’ve spent enough time in my life stuck in rooms with one or more metalheads who just won't stop diving into every tiny, microscopic detail about which subgenre is superior—or, you know, which one is total trash compared to the others.

I really mean it when I say I’d be incredibly grateful if someone could just end that misery for me. On my own personal scale of horrors, this scenario is maybe just a tiny bit less terrifying than listening to board gamers argue over rulebooks, though it’s arguably a little worse than hanging out after a Gnostic mass service. 😠

The nostalgia is hitting me pretty hard right now; I think I'll hang around here for a little longer before I let the music take over. I know all too well what metal fans are like—all that talk about Trve vs. garbage and whatnot. The debates just never seem to end. 😍
And hey, if you guys want to head back there, go for it. I'll join you eventually, I just need to decompress here for a bit first. So, feel free to get the party started later on. 🙂 Just... please keep the thread title safe for me! 🧐

And now I see at least two people starting to complain already. I’m honestly starting to worry I might have to wave the white flag soon. Personally, I’m feeling pretty good being here, but hey, whatever happens, happens.

I mean, have you even watched those nude runway shows?

Models pick their look as if they were Barbie—everything is perfectly smooth, ensuring there's no visible cameltoe from a straight-on standing perspective. It isn't necessarily true that every single model has that specific anatomy, but when they're casting for nude shows, that's usually who gets picked. It's essentially how the fashion industry portrays the "ideal" female form—except that women fitting those exact physical standards make up a tiny fraction of the actual population. That's why breaking into modeling is such a grind; you have to meet these hyper-specific physical requirements for the runway. Though, to be fair, things haven't been quite as cutthroat lately—you see more diverse body types and slightly fuller figures on the catwalk now.

Here's a look at that "model" aesthetic (not all of them, but most follow this pattern): links

Look, I'll admit I'm into that look, but finding women like that is nearly impossible—they probably represent maybe 2 or 3 percent of the population. Even back when I was hanging out at that swinger beach in Monterey, I could only find a handful of people matching that description. Personally, though, I don't need a "model" look—I'm perfectly fine with a more natural, prominent cameltoe. 😁

I realized too late that putting Cof in the title would attract people who genuinely, non-ironically love them. 😵

Speaking of which, this is the only song of theirs I could ever stomach (aside from that Sisters cover, though technically that isn't "theirs"):

Strangely enough, this one covers the exact same theme, but it's the kind of metal actual adults should be listening to. 🙂😈🙂

The legend goes that because the vocalist suffers from claustrophobia, they actually locked him in a coffin just to record this masterpiece. 😍

I first encountered them in Washington, D.C.; you rarely meet anyone that much of a softie in real life. 🤣

EDIT: That doesn't stop them from putting on the loudest, most malicious live shows ever.

That’s what I learned back at the farm. 🕺

I only swung by the farm briefly during that whole mess with the forum—otherwise, I don't hang out there. Most of the women in those circles just aren't my scene.

Models are picked to look like Barbies—everything is perfectly smoothed out so there’s no visible cameltoe from a straight-on view. It doesn't mean every model has that specific anatomy, but since they're mostly chosen because they'll be stripping down, they represent this idealized version of femininity. In reality, women who fit that exact aesthetic are a tiny fraction of the population. That's why breaking into modeling is such an uphill battle; you have to meet these hyper-specific physical standards for the runway. Though, granted, things aren't quite as rigid lately, so you see more diverse body types and different looks

I'll admit I'm into that look, but finding a woman like that is tough when they probably make up maybe 2 or 3 percent of the people I ran into back when I was at that swingers' beach in Monterey. Not that I require a "runway" look, though; a more natural cameltoe works just fine for me. 😁

Man, life isn't easy for you guys either.
It's good that you aren't being picky about anatomy. Honestly, it probably increases your odds.

Oh, you definitely don't need to wave any white flags—not in this case! Let's just keep moving forward, whether we're here or somewhere else... 😉
