I remember flipping through a trivia book years ago and stumbling upon an NFL page. It featured photos of all the different team helmets, and for some reason, the New England Patriots one just stuck with me. I've been a fan ever since.

It looks like even the user from ESPN hasn't weighed in on this thread yet, which means the patriots likely have more support than the stats currently suggest....

Back in the mid-90s, I was upgrading my satellite setup, had nothing but time on my hands, and a sudden obsession with new channels like ABC and DSF. I spent countless hours glued to the TV watching the Green Bay Packers, Brett Favre, and the 1997 Super Bowl 👍 ; then the 1998 Super Bowl 👎 (Terrell Davis 👍 ). They just stuck with me.
Throw in the team culture, the fans, the ownership... then Favre leaves and Rodgers arrives to grab two titles 🍿 and there you have it. That’s the whole story.

Go Pack Go. That’s really all there is to say. Though, I guess back in '93 and '94, ESPN used to show a replay of a game on Monday nights around 6 PM. Other than that, I've been following the NFL since the days of Montana and Jerry Rice.

Honestly, it's no surprise. Watching Aaron Rodgers on any given Sunday is just more captivating. Perhaps it's because he's constantly surrounded by lesser talent, forcing him to perform miracles. 😁

One has to give credit to the New England Patriots, though; every Super Bowl they played in was incredibly intense.

My first hazy memory was seeing the celebrations in San Francisco on CNN after that game back in the nineties.

Exactly. If Aaron Rodgers stays healthy, they can always limp their way into the divisional round, and that's about as far as they'll go.

The New England Patriots could pull that off even without Tom Brady using an average QB because their roster building is superior.

Plus, they have a better coach, obviously.

honestly, I’d say at least half the teams out there have a better head coach
and probably like 70% of them have a better play caller

I honestly think the Patriots could pull this off even without Tom Brady. If they just keep building the roster the right way with a solid, mid-tier QB, they’ll be fine.

Eagles, nothing special here. I’ve always been a Philly 76ers fan, so I guess I’ll stick by the Eagles, Phillies, and Flyers too. Honestly, though, the NFL has really hooked me over the last couple of seasons. It’s officially my number two sport now. 👍

I first caught an NFL game on Z1 or OTV back during that season that ended with the big showdown between the Indianapolis Colts and the Chicago Bears in 2007. Since I was already hooked on the NBA and would occasionally tune into an NHL game here and there, I figured I’d give football a shot, and honestly, thanks to the commentators, I ended up falling head over heels for the sport.

Even though I started following the league pretty early on—probably before most of the folks on this forum—it still feels like I'm not exactly some grand expert or anything.

Anyway, since Reebok was sponsoring the league back then and had such a massive presence in the US, my very first pieces of gear showed up in a local shop right across from a Chinese import store. It was all Pittsburgh gear because they were the reigning Super Bowl champs at the time. 🙂

In my head, I always viewed that city as the ultimate blue-collar American town, and knowing how many people head out there to work in the steel mills, I just instinctively declared the Pittsburgh Steelers as my team. I wouldn't say I'm some die-hard fanatic, but I definitely have my favorites.

I’ve got a soft spot for the Baltimore Ravens—they have the best jerseys, paired with that gorgeous city logo, the wire, and Ray Lewis’s legendary squad which was easily the most dominant thing I’ve ever seen in this sport (though, looking back, I didn't realize just how intense that rivalry with the Steelers actually was). Then there’s the Buffalo Bills, who somehow manage to stay under the radar for everyone 😁, so I was genuinely stoked when they actually made the playoffs last winter. I also love the New Orleans Saints; New Orleans is my number one pick for a trip to the US, from the music to the whole vibe of the South, and I've got a thing for that guy from Kansas City too.

On the flip side, I’m not much of a fan of the Seattle Seahawks (honestly, just bring back the Seattle SuperSonics), Dallas (even though I’ve been a die-hard for the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA, the Cowboys just don't do it for me with their whole "American team" branding, jerseys, and logos), the New York Giants, or the San Francisco 49ers.

At the end of the day, I just love the game and a good matchup; I'm officially rooting for Pittsburgh, and I can't stand Seattle. 🙂
Actually, I still hold onto this silly hope that some future daughter of mine might end up marrying someone who plays like our very own version of Malcolm Butler. 😁

I'll say this with a bit of malice: seeing the Washington Commanders placed dead last in the poll is like finding the perfect cherry on top of a sundae. ☕

There isn’t even any point in setting up a poll about which NFL team people hate the most. The Patriots would win by a landslide...

Honestly, I’ve got this nagging feeling that even the New York Giants might actually pull off a decent run.

I believe those are the only teams hated by massive numbers of people who aren't even their direct rivals. Plus, we have incredible jerseys and a great logo, just like my colleague mentioned. 😢
