I'd be happy to.
It was crystal clear that his girlfriend wasn't feeling it and that he was failing to meet certain standards, yet he chose to double down on his mistakes instead of listening. Now, predictably, he's crawling all over this forum playing the victim. ๐Ÿ™„

jebiga, there's no use crying about it after the fact. ๐Ÿ™‚

One ought to understand the reasons why people cross certain lines, not just the mechanics of how they did it; that is what actual understanding entails.

Incomprehensible to you, perhaps.
If you want an example of mine?
He struck me at my most vulnerable point, knowing full well it would cause me to unravel.
I endured significant childhood trauma and required years to recover from it, only to be accused by someone of lying about the experience.
In that exact moment, all communication was terminated. I have zero interest in apologies or excuses.

And this was his doing as wellโ€”he struck where he had no right to, and where he absolutely should not have.

Scott Nguyen5 said:Thatโ€™s just your subjective, pretty intolerant, and honestly nonsensical take.

You have to understand *why* people cross the line, not just how they did itโ€”that's what actual empathy looks like...

What you're describing is just pure loveโ€”the kind where you say "I love you" and "I'll forgive anything." It's unconditional love, plain and simple. Whether it's for your own kid, your parents, or your partner. Just pure love.

I'm falling for her, and itโ€™s been a long time since I was with someone where I could honestly say I felt happy. Today I hurt herโ€”it wasn't on purpose, but it still sucks and I care. ๐Ÿ˜ž

That mindset is exactly how you'll keep her๐Ÿ‘

How's the response looking for yesterday's ad here in the States? Anyone actually reaching out? ๐Ÿฟ

Personally, I think "love" is a bit of an overrated concept... mostly because it's tied to so many moving parts.
Maybe it needs a prefix or a suffix to be accurate. ๐Ÿค”

Nope. Love is love. Adding prefixes or suffixes is just a way of making compromises. Thatโ€™s exactly why itโ€™s so damn hardโ€”trying to love someone without any fine print or conditions attached.

๐Ÿ™‚

Fair point when you're talking about a person... but I meant that grouping things together is a mistake.
Loving a sport, a book, or a friend... the intensity and the fallout when those feelings start to fade just aren't the same thing. ๐Ÿ™‚

Honestly, I truly believe you find more luck in life when you just start heading in completely opposite directions. Why not just face your worries with a big smile?

Some things are sacred, or at least, they should be. If those unspoken rules are violated, there is no point in talking about "making amends" or trying to pivot back to a polite, civil conversation. The damage is absolute.

As the old saying goesโ€” only fools and corpses never change their minds ๐Ÿ‘

He hit me right where I'm most vulnerable, knowing full well it would break me.
I dealt with some nasty childhood trauma and it took years to recover. Then someone actually had the nerve to call me a liar.
That was it. Conversation over. I have zero interest in apologies or excuses.

And he poked at the exact same spot he wasn't supposed to.

Your personal baggage isn't anyone else's responsibility to carry.

No, it isn't. Love is just a strong feeling of attachment.
Tolerance and understanding come from being rational, not from feelings.

Scott Nguyen5 said:Your struggle with your own past traumas isn't anyone else's burden to carry.

Love is simply an intense feeling of attachment.
Tolerance and understanding are matters of intellect, not emotion.

Fine, I agree that managing my own trauma isn't anyone else's responsibility. However, when someone chooses to disrespect those traumas, it serves as a direct reflection of their lack of character and a total absence of respect toward me. I am under no obligation to endure that. In those moments, my empathy evaporates. One has to wonder, where was the empathy from the other side?

It honestly irritates me to hear this constant preaching about empty empathyโ€”this idea that I should just accept an apology and move on with a smile while the other person gets to tear me down whenever they feel like it, only to offer a hollow apology later to clear their conscience.
Forget that, and forget this concept of unconditional love. That isn't love; itโ€™s just self-degradation. ๐Ÿคฎ

That would be my two cents; Kimberly Perez19 is over and out. ๐Ÿ‘‹

Scott Nguyen5 said:Seriously though, this whole thread is just one massive, unhinged circus.

Death isn't some big scary thing that hits you out of nowhere; itโ€™s just a fundamental part of being alive. Why on earth would anyone call that a "traumatic experience"? Does breathing traumatize you?

Breathing is what keeps you alive, so stopping it is definitely a problem. You want me to strangle you a little bit before I ask for your opinion?

Letโ€™s move on from that topic. There are far too many new faces around here now. It's a bit much, frankly. :/
