Kyle Johnson2 said:So, I was looking around for some kind of free online converter—you know, one that actually works without making your computer feel like it’s catching a virus—and it got me thinking about how much junk is out there... honestly, it's getting ridiculous. You search for something simple, maybe just trying to get a document from one format to another, and suddenly you're being bombarded with pop-ups for "premium" software that's basically just a glorified subscription trap... it's exhausting. I mean, back in the day, you could just find a decent tool and be done with it, but now everything feels like a scam or a data grab. I spent twenty minutes yesterday just trying to bypass those fake "Download Now" buttons that are actually just ads for malware... just my luck, I guess. Anyway, if anyone has found a legitimate, zero-nonsense way to convert files without having to sacrifice your privacy or your sanity to some sketchy site, let me know... I'm still searching... Adobe Acrobat

I'm telling you again—I need something that can actually handle more than five pages! That program from the link is useless... it keeps telling me the file is too large because it’s 14 pages long, and then it has the nerve to try and upsell me on a subscription... honestly, it's such a headache...

Give this a shot. If you’re looking for a solid way to handle your PDF files, you should definitely check out http://www.nitropdf.com/. It's a reliable tool that gets the job done without any unnecessary fuss. I honestly have no idea what they even let you test with that free trial version. Personally, I’m running the full version and everything works perfectly fine for me.

If the trial version isn't cutting it for you, just hit up Google and hunt down a cracked version.

Kyle Johnson2 said:The example you provided was built using dedicated graphic design software. Take a look at this example.

Excel isn't designed for high-end 3D charting. If you want to craft a more sophisticated 3D chart with custom coloring, you'll need to dig into the specific tools found under the Design, Layout, and Format tabs available in Excel 2007 once a chart is selected.

For truly bespoke, "professional grade" 3D graphics, you really need specialized software.

Just search online for "free software to create 3D charts."

Excellent, thanks for the tip. I eventually managed to pull off what I needed within Excel.

What about PowerPoint? Any advice regarding advanced formatting or presentation techniques? Do you recommend any specific websites?

Let me reiterate: I need something that can actually handle more than five pages! That software from the link keeps telling me the file is too large—it’s 14 pages, for heaven's sake—and then it has the nerve to suggest I just buy the full version.

Grace Anderson74!

Give THIS A TRY.

I once managed to convert a massive 192-page document using it, and it worked like a charm.

I’ve got MS Word 2010 set to American English, but whenever I try to type anything, every single word gets flagged with those annoying red squiggly lines from the spellchecker. Strangely enough, if I type an English word, the red lines disappear completely.

How can I fix the settings so it actually recognizes American English instead of flagging everything for no reason?

I tried messing around with the language settings and stuff like that, but nothing seems to work.

Check out this one:

With a little bit of tinkering, you can even plug in all our American holidays.😁

Hey everyone! I could really use a hand with this computer science assignment, please.

I'm stuck trying to figure out how to nail down the sales price—basically, I need someone to walk me through the math on how to calculate the final selling price 🙂 . Thanks a ton in advance 🙂 🙂 .

A straightforward formula

=SUM(D2+(D2*E2+(D2+F2)*G2))

Also, did I actually get the "Price including tax" part right? Look, my bad—I'm still pretty much a total newbie at all this stuff 😢 .

The way you have it here is just the tax amount itself, whereas the total price including tax should be the base cost added to that tax value (15.5 + 3.1).

Walter Jackson48 said:You're looking at the tax value here. In this case, the price including tax would be the purchase price plus sales tax (15.5 + 3.1).

Yes, it's obvious there's a typo in the column header.
For someone just starting out, wouldn't it be better to have both a column for the sales tax amount (his "price with tax") and a separate column for the total price inclusive of tax?

Look, you aren't actually going to learn anything if we just hand you the answer on a silver platter. What you really need to master first is the logic behind pricing algorithms, and once you grasp that, turning it into a formula is easy. If I just give you the math, you'll just scribble it down, and then the second a professor asks you how you actually arrived at that number, you're going to be staring back blankly because you don't understand the "why" behind the "how."

I genuinely want to help you out, but I also want you to actually walk away with some knowledge here.
Best regards.

I have a quick question for you all. I am trying to set up an A4 sheet to look similar to a page from a math notebook—specifically, a grid of squares, but without any outer borders. To make it more interesting, I want every other row to be offset by 50%, either to the left or the right. It might sound a bit complicated to describe, but I'm essentially looking for a brickwork pattern where every unit is the same size. Is there a way to manipulate the gridlines in Excel so I can draw custom borders according to this vision? For example, having even rows aligned normally while the odd rows are shifted? How would one go about achieving this?

Mark Ortiz44 said:I know it sounds like a massive pain to explain, but I'm curious... how do I actually pull this off?

You could've just sketched out which row to set.
Maybe mess around in Excel if you can make it work for this, since you didn't say what happens after you do that.
What's even the point of these little blocks anyway?

Hey everyone,

I could use some help here. I'm trying to take an image that's buried inside a PDF and tweak it enough to create a new, similar version. Is there any way to actually export that out?
