Benjamin Thompson66 said:What an absolute disaster of a lineup... I mean, seeing Franz Ferdinand on the bill yet again? At this point, we might need to call in Gavrilo Princip just to shake things up and break through the sheer boredom currently hitting the streets of Chicago... and now Krampfer is out too... honestly, you can already tell what kind of vibe this band is going for... I truly feel like the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is such a letdown this year....

Actually, The Cranberries pulled out of their entire tour, not just the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival show.๐Ÿ™„

By the way, if anyone is looking for free passes to the Axe festival, there is a giveaway happening right now where they are handing out 15 sets of 2 tickets!http://bitly.com/KXnuOd โ˜•

Aside from New Order, you should probably check out Tamikrestโ€”those guys are legit. Everything else is just hipster garbage.
Iโ€™m not even sure if it's worth dropping all that cash just for two bands while having to suffer through the rest of the lineup. Plus, I feel like I might actually gag from the sheer amount of metrosexual hipster stench hanging over the whole festival.

Yeah, they aren't badโ€”Tamikrest, I mean. But man, this "hipster" thing always trips me up... what exactly are hipsters even listening to? What's the big deal??

I don't know, maybe bands like Gorillaz or some indie outfits you'd see on MTV fit that vibe.
Honestly, I can't be bothered with all that nonsense. If it were a New Order solo project, I might actually give it a look, but even then, I'm still on the fence.

I went to Exit last year, and it was honestly incredible ๐Ÿ˜ I haven't made it to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival yet, mostly because I'm not sure I could justify the cost ๐Ÿ˜ฌ though who knows, maybe I'll find a way to go for free this year, and perhaps some of my fellow forum members might be able to help make that happen ๐Ÿ™‚
All you need to do is one quick click on the ink4U link at number 12, so who knows, maybe we can gather enough votes together. Thanks, everyone! ๐Ÿ™‚

p.s. I'm definitely one of those people who always picks up flyers from people on the street, haha...

Just because you "don't know" them doesn't mean you shouldn't weigh in, does it? ๐Ÿ™„

The whole hipster archetype is defined by this relentless pursuit of the obscure. They have to be the first to discover some underground act, constantly chasing the next "new" thing. It eventually devolves into a farce where the quality of the music matters far less than how little anyone else has heard of it.

The artists mentioned here are just pop acts. The only difference is they aren't thirty years old like New Order; they're maybe ten or fifteen years in. But they all share one thing: they're all on their way out...

Being a hipster is essentially defined by hunting down obscure, underground bandsโ€”itโ€™s about being at the absolute forefront of what's next, which often veers into total exaggeration where the quality of the music becomes secondary , simply because the band is fresh and relatively unknown.

The groups mentioned here are all pop actsโ€”except they aren't thirty years old like New Order, more like ten or fifteen. But they all share one thing: they're pretty much on their way out.

Hmm, yeahโ€”I've definitely seen that definition floating around, and honestly, people do take it way too far. Though, I wonder... is that actually worse than just blindly following whatever hits the Top 40 charts or chasing YouTube likes? You know, those people who claim, "Oh, I only listen to what's trending." Now *those* are the true ultra-hipsters. ๐Ÿ˜

New Order at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival $100 and Peter Hook at Glory DayZ 200 $67

Then you should just go ๐Ÿคท

rustypanther13 said:NEW ORDER are still at their peakโ€”too bad they don't have Hook anymore. Honestly, Raspberries were always a minor band with an incredibly annoying lead singer..

Oh, so now they're "at their peak"...
They've been past their prime for like 20 years, but seriously, they're worth more than all those other bands combined.

How much are tickets for a single day $100?

Whatever you call them, I have no interest in listening to that junk. If it were a New Order solo project, I might consider it, but even then, I'm still on the fence.

Good grief, ๐Ÿ™„ I am honestly getting tired of hearing about these "famous hipsters" who seem to exist only to wear those ridiculous glasses (not that I know what they look like, just so there's no confusion ๐Ÿ˜). But surely their defining trait isn't listening to bands like Mando Diao or Gorillaz, considering that when those groups first emerged, hipsters hadn't even taken over the planet yet โ˜•.

Hipsters are quite literally the number one enemy of the state. They tend to operate from the shadows, leaving nothing but a trail of devastation in their wake. No one can ever truly pinpoint who they are, yet everyone lives in constant fear of their existence, much like the conspiracy theorists obsessed with the Illuminati. In fact, there is a persistent rumor that high-level hipsters are actually 33rd-degree Illuminati themselves. โ˜•

OT: I find myself gravitating toward the ongoing debate regarding New Order. ๐Ÿ˜ต

Iโ€™m pretty sure there was an episode of dosje x about hipsters once upon a time, though I can't quite recall what their final verdict was on the whole lot of themโ€”it makes me wonder if there's even any defense against the subtle, subconscious way they might be messing with the brains of pure music lovers... Do hipsters even watch dosje x? Is my neighbor actually one of them? I really have to wonder what the future holds for humanity if hipsters are just allowed to wander around among us unchecked...

$100 On one hand, it feels like way too much just for New Order, but then again, the DM was always more than that, and we did end up waiting an extra year for them anyway... So yeah, I still haven't really made up my mind... I just hope those hipsters don't manage to snatch all my money before then...

When it comes to New Order being at their peak, Iโ€™m telling you, their latest album is the best one yet. You guys can debate whether they've hit their prime or not all you want ๐Ÿค” ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

When exactly will we know if New Order is playing on June 29th? And more importantlyโ€”are they actually headlining?

Itโ€™s pretty much set in stoneโ€”they are performing on the 29th, and yes, they are absolutely the headliners.

When is Gogol Bordello playing? There's still no schedule on the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival official site... or maybe I'm just blind ๐Ÿ˜•

If the Gorillaz are heading our way, does that actually mean weโ€™ll see Damon Albarn ๐Ÿ˜ performing live, or are we just going to get some random DJ since the whole thing is usually handled behind the scenes?
