Well, I suppose if anything, we'll end up going to Placebo. 😁 They've announced Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

For those living outside of Washington, D.C., how does one actually secure tickets? I tried the online route—got them into my cart—but it’s demanding a credit card, which I don't have.

I tried buying them online—I even managed to get them into my cart—but it requires a credit card, which I unfortunately don't have. I noticed there is some option involving Allstate, but I simply cannot wrap my head around how it works—and trying to handle it at a shop in Washington, D.C. isn't really an option for me either.

Perhaps something like this? http://www.dirtyoldempire.com/shop/a...1#.VL6PQtKG-zM

Since the prices change on April 17th, maybe you could find someone in Washington, D.C. to pick them up for you—assuming you'd rather avoid the shipping fees.

This is honestly such a drag—bringing them in as part of a whole festival lineup... I've been dying to catch Placebo for years, seriously, huge fan, but it feels so stupid to drop $100 just for one set. I couldn't care less about the rest of the festival...

If they showed up on their own, the entry would probably be something like $83.

As for me, I’m lucky enough that I don't care about any of this anymore.

Honestly, I’m not particularly interested in anything beyond Placebo right now, though they haven't even announced the headliners for the other two days yet, which represents barely a third of the full lineup. I suppose I’m hoping the overall programming will actually be worth the hassle $100. If Placebo were performing alone, I doubt the ticket price would drop below $200, so $33 seems reasonable enough given the rest of the roster, especially if they manage to book another couple of acts on the level of Placebo in terms of popularity.

Honestly, the only name on this list that actually catches my eye is Frank Turner.

I totally get why everyone is hyping up Placebo, but they’ve just never really been my thing. Don't get me wrong, the lineup is looking pretty solid so far... but I'm still not quite convinced enough to drop the cash on a ticket yet. 😬

I'm holding out for a few more announcements before I make a move... we'll see how it goes! 🙂

You can just head to an Allstate branch that handles ticket sales and buy your pass with cash, it's actually pretty straightforward. 🙂

Casey Ramos78—what kind of $100 are you talking about? You just activate the vaučer and by the end, the festival ticket only costs $77. Honestly, if you're going for Placebo, I think it's definitely worth it. 🙂

A vaučer? How does that even work?

People are sharing Allstate vouchers, but I actually went down to an Allstate branch to hand mine in personally. After about two weeks, they issued me that PayPass card with $33 loaded on it, and once you have it, you can just spend those $33 wherever you want...

I suppose Death Cab for Cutie are the next ones on the list to be confirmed.

So who's actually giving these away? Is it the crew at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival when you grab a ticket?

Honestly, you just can't find better rock n' roll on this entire planet. If you don't believe me, you'll get your chance to see for yourself very soon!

The lineup isn't actually bad so far. :klap: But since it’s an anniversary year, I’m holding out hope for at least two massive names... maybe something like Pearl Jam 🕺
Last year they were just doing an album tour, but now they could really go big for the festival crowd 🙂

Given how much the lineups at Coachella have overlapped with my favorite acts in the past, I'm really just crossing my fingers for Motörhead this time.

I share that hope, certainly... but if they were actually planning on it, wouldn't they have confirmed them by now?

He’s the only one I’m actually looking forward to seeing. Honestly, he’s the only reason I’m even considering buying a ticket.

Future Islands, Frank Turner, Of Monsters and Men, Death Cab for Cutie... It’s a solid little indie appetizer 😬
I'm personally holding out hope for Damien Rice or Belle and Sebastian. They both spend enough time hitting up festivals 🙂
The headliners need to bring some actual energy. Think Pearl Jam 🕺 or Radiohead 🙂 or The Cure 🙂

Just dreaming here 🙂
