I was actually just about to ask this same thing here! 🤷

So, uh, maybe someone who’s been to the festival in previous years knows... is there any kind of setup or anything where you can at least peek at the match? 🙂

I think they said there wouldn't be any screens to watch the game on, but since everyone’s been blowing up the FBI with questions, they might just scramble to make something happen at the last minute. We haven't dealt with anything like this before, though as far as I know, our game hasn't overlapped with the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival until this year...

Facebook banned me right after I asked them that in a comment on someone's post, and then they just deleted the whole thing lol

Can anyone who’s been to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival before tell me how much walking we're talking about from the entrance to a parking spot that wouldn't be reserved for staff?

Since beer is gonna be $6.00, which I refuse to pay for out of pure principle, and I'll be stuck there all day, I really need a solid backup plan.

I'm trying to figure out the distance from the main entrance to one of those theoretical non-staff parking lots that might actually have an open spot.

Since we’re talking about the beer... $6.00Look, I’m not about to pay for something just out of principle—it's a waste of money. But since I'll be stuck there all day anyway, I really ought to have a backup plan in place.

It’s about a 10 to 15-minute walk. Just park somewhere outside Central Park—maybe across from the LA Galaxy stadium over on Haberlov—or something along those lines.

So, what’s your actual backup plan here—running out to the car every five minutes just to check on the fridge you're keeping in the trunk? 🙂

Honestly, what happened above doesn't surprise me one bit. Their communication skills are supposedly their strong suit, right? Yet here we are:

If anyone else is planning on going but doesn't have a crew yet, hit me up! Let's get a group together so we don't have to wander around alone! 😁

well... maybe.

why wouldn't I stay outside Central Park?

why outside of Central Park?

Because they usually shut down the road near the festival—forcing everyone right at the entrance to veer off to the side—so this is basically the closest you can get without getting stuck in the chaos. Plus, you dodge the massive exit rush and save some $3.25 😉

Are we all going to catch the concert from the riverbank, or is everyone just watching from somewhere else?

What kind? Is it raining? Is rain actually on the way?
What’s the forecast looking like today?
I'm heading down to Chicago this afternoon... not sure what to pack. Probably boots? It's stiflingly humid here.

Nobody knows. Yesterday was a mess—it was brutally hot until about 7, then it leveled out. Then it got hot again. Then fine. Then cold. Then it poured. Today's forecast looks just like yesterday, only with a higher chance of heavier showers.

The intermittent downpours just won't quit today. 😍

I hate this weather.

I saw some info on the official site saying there was a free shuttle running from Hargrove’s place out to the island starting at 6 PM. Well, obviously, when I finally rolled up to the terminal and asked a guy working at Madison Square Garden, he just gave me this weird look. Even the security guards at the gate had zero clue about any shuttle. Honestly, it feels like they scrubbed that "info" off the website entirely today.
It’s pretty great how they just dump stupid misinformation on their official pages. Thanks to that, I missed half of Partibrekers and ended up wandering around like a total moron. Between the overpriced beer—which I had to wait 15 minutes for at those idiotic kiosks just to get a wristband—and this weather, I’m actually regretting buying a ticket at all. And don't even get me started on the ridiculous set times. Like, I wanted to catch Rambas (who play at 1:30 today?) but I gotta work tomorrow. Or listing Partibrekers at 6 PM like they're some damn opening act while some random nobodies get prime time... the organizers are pure idiots.
My first, and probably my last, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Alexander Cruz32 said:And don't even get me started on how brain-dead these gig schedules are—like, saying someone wants to play at a venue like The Forum (which is basically half-empty by 1:30 AM) but they're actually working tomorrow, or treating a legendary band like the Foo Fighters like they're some pathetic opening act just because some random nobodies are getting the prime time slot? It’s pure, unadulterated organizer stupidity.

Stupidity or not, the fact remains. Even Kane himself made a sarcastic comment about the exact same thing. At least now we don't have the headliners overlapping with Universal Music Group anymore.

What a total clusterfuck, what a mess with those Madison Square Garden shuttles... the bus was driving from the entrance at Central Park near Hargrove Street, and the organizer was the one who brought it there, so it has absolutely nothing to do with Madison Square Garden.

I didn't use it myself this year, but I saw them running both yesterday and the day before.

MGMT took the main stage 😍

basically: Pixies absolutely crushed it, Foals were incredible, and The Black Keys kind of flopped. Such a bummer about the rain, but I guess since I'm just a Southerner used to dealing with rocky terrain, I managed to hold my own in all that mud 😁
