I used my Electron card (checking account) to deposit, but now when I try to withdraw back to that same card, it won't let me
Can someone explain how bank transfers work? Is that an option, how do I do it, etc...
Let me know how you guys usually handle withdrawals on DraftKings
Also, just a heads up, I don't have a Moneybookers account, so any suggestions on how to get my cash out without one would be great
thanks 👍

What's the deal with that message?

If you haven't sent over a scan of your ID or passport along with a photo of your card, they aren't going to pay you. Pretty sure that's standard for all US online sportsbooks. Not sure about their other payout methods though.

DraftKings was actually my first online book, and payouts used to go straight to my Electron card without a hitch. Then they started this whole document thing... Anyway, it's the only time I've used them because honestly, their lines and odds are pretty terrible.

Morgan Wright said:It’s going to be lower than 1.43—because if you look at those odds for the draw at 5.5 and a win for Dinamo Chicago at 12 (over at bet365), you’ve basically got a surebet sitting there. Bookies don't exactly love promoting that, especially not during Champions League matches.
That 1.43 figure includes a 5% margin, which is essentially 1.36 when you look at it online... it won't go any higher than that. 😉

Fair enough, I hadn't looked at it from that angle—I was just throwing out some rough estimated odds. 😉
Given what you pointed out, I suspect the odds for a win in our local US sportsbooks will probably land somewhere between 1.35 and 1.40.

Can someone walk me through how bank transfers work? Like, is that actually doable, how do I do it, what's the deal...
Just tell me how you guys usually handle withdrawals on DraftKings
Also, just a heads up, I don't have a Neteller account, so please give me some ideas on how to grab my money without needing one
thanks 👍

Personally, I’ve never had an issue with DraftKings—withdrawals take maybe three days max and they're smooth.
Just hit My Account -> Deposit/Withdraw -> Withdraw -> Bank Transfer. Fill out the info they ask for and you're pretty much set.

Don't freak out if the money doesn't vanish from your balance instantly; that's normal. It'll definitely show up within 24 hours.

And yeah, I've never bothered using an Electron card for withdrawals anyway. I always just go the bank transfer route. I just plug in the details for the account linked to my Electron card, and the cash lands right where it needs to be.

DraftKings was my first go-to online book, and payouts used to go straight to my Electron card without a hitch—then they brought in all this document verification stuff. Honestly, it’ll probably be my only deposit and withdrawal there since their odds and selection are pretty lackluster compared to others.

If they don't pull the money from your account immediately, don't sweat it. It should definitely hit within 24 hours.

Also, I've never actually used an Electron card for withdrawals—I just use a direct bank transfer. I just enter the details for the account linked to that Electron card, and the funds land right where they belong.

Thanks for the help 😉

@wiredpilot2/">@@wiredpilot2 — did you have to send a scanned passport or ID to get a bank transfer processed?
Where did you find your routing number? Is it listed on your monthly statement, or do you have to ask the bank for it specifically? Also, will it be an issue since I only have a basic checking account and not a foreign currency one? (Depositing wasn't an issue).

@Joshua Garcia8/">@@Joshua Garcia8 — I'm thinking the same thing. This might be my only time using DraftKings, mostly because their lines are just so weak.👎

@wiredpilot2/">@@wiredpilot2 - hey, were you supposed to send over a scan of your passport or ID for a bank transfer payout?
Where did you grab the IBAN from? Is it just sitting there on my monthly statement or do I have to go begging the bank for it? Also, is it gonna be an issue since I only have a standard checking account and no foreign currency one? (didn't cause any drama when I was depositing)

@Joshua Garcia8/">@@Joshua Garcia8 - yeah, I'm thinking this might be my one and only deposit and withdrawal on DraftKings, mostly because their odds are absolute garbage👎

Man, I signed up ages ago, like two years back, and they didn't ask for a damn thing. Then I took a break from playing, and when I finally decided to jump back in, all they wanted was a scan of my card. Sent it over and boom—approved within an hour or two.

Your account info is right there in the contract; the IBAN and everything else you need should be listed there.

If I recall correctly, it takes about 2 to 3 days. ☕

That assumption is basically a recipe for disaster...

Eric Fox7 said:The odds are already live at the usual spots (DraftKings, Lottery, DraftKings, I haven't checked the others), and everyone is sitting at @ 1.30 for Real Madrid

I'll bet you anything the odds will be higher by the time the game actually starts, so do whatever you want

Not exactly a strong guarantee... 1.3 is basically even money at the books (DraftKings, Lottery, haven't looked elsewhere)

Well, there you have it. A buddy of mine actually warned me not to listen to him, but honestly? Whatever happens, happens.

I won't get too deep into it today; I'll probably see how much I can actually handle tomorrow after the Lazio game. 🙂

tominator said:Turns out I was wrong about the Real Madrid odds (I figured they'd be part of some massive special offer, but the line at 2 didn't budge—it didn't go up or down, really—I was expecting something closer to 1.35-1.40).

Looks like there were a ton of big bets coming in on Real Madrid, so the bookies are probably sweating the potential payout 🤷. That's why the odds on Dinamo Chicago jumped (DraftKings, PSK, and HL are all sitting at 17 to 1)

.

🤷

Plus, the odds didn't even drop, so I didn't end up leading anyone astray 🙄

And you just felt the need to jump in and comment on that, why???

I wasn't even debating this with you, and you're hardly a regular here on the IMF forums, so I honestly don't get why it got under your skin so much 🤔

That’s a pretty weak guarantee if you ask me... getting 1.3 odds on a 2-out chance? That’s basically nothing (looking at DraftKings, the Lottery, I haven't checked the others yet)

Don't try to play general after the war is already over, please.

mistysurfer55 said:Hold on, you're really dropping $1.5k on odds of 1.01? 🤣🙏

If you lose just once—and yeah, that happens more than you think—you’d need 100 wins just to break even on that single loss. Is that actually worth it? Sorry, but I haven't heard anything stupider in my life.

Look, if you hit your bets, it's profitable. Period. 😍 😁

You can't just dismiss odds like that. A 1.01 in tennis isn't the same thing as, say, USA vs. San Marino in soccer. Plus, if you're playing live, those initial 1.01 or 1.03 lines can climb significantly, turning into a decent opportunity.

I don't know if this counts as a solid sample size, but from June 30th to September 14th, there were 39 bets. Only 3 times did the odds deviate from those "ultra-tiny" margins. That's enough for me to draw my own conclusion. 😉
Bottom line: profit.

Ugh, finally someone who gets it.
Look, at the end of the day, ANY profit is a win in my book, I don't care how small the odds are.

risking 1,000 bucks just to grab 20 🙂

Hey, if you’re feeling good about it and actually seeing long-term profit, props to you. But one bad beat and you’re ten steps back in the hole. ☕
Personally? This isn't how you should be betting. ☕

edit:
Stake: 2,007.00 Return: 2,020.38 odds 1.006 one, zero, zero, six; putting down ~$5018 to make $33 OMG
Stake: 2,007.00 Return: 2,015.03 odds 1.004 1.004; putting down ~$5018 to get $20 OMG
🤣

@Chiro, pass the popcorn.

Joshua Garcia8 said:in my book, this is exactly how you shouldn't be betting☕

First off, you really need to keep detailed logs and actually analyze different playstyles—honestly, it’s best learned from your own mistakes because once you get burned, you never forget it. I feel like I’ve cycled through just about every method out there, and this specific way just happens to fit me best. That’s all. No deep wisdom here, and I'm certainly not telling anyone else to play like this. If we're going to go down this road of discussing everything, might as well mention this too🙂

🤣

your gut feeling is what matters most🙂
(for instance, you're watching a game live, a team is up by two, they're totally dominating and there's maybe 15 minutes left on the clock, so you bet that they won't lose—meaning they won't concede three goals—and the odds are sitting at something like 1.004)
I'd probably put more effort into picking up cash off the floor than I would putting this on to win☕

Honestly, I'd rather work a damn job picking up scraps off the floor than deal with the stress of playing this just to win a few bucks ☕

Did you see that LP final where Milan was leading Liverpool FC 3-0 at halftime? Man, you could have dropped thousands of dollars on them! ☕

honestly, he’d probably put more effort into bending over to pick up loose change off the sidewalk than he would playing this out just to grab a tiny win ☕

Take this match, for example:

Wannabes said:Check this out. 😁 In the opening match of the Africa Cup of Nations, Angola was leading 4-0 in the 78th minute, and the odds for an Angola win dropped to 1.01. This guy takes it and drops $4,400 on it—and well, the rest is history. 😁

From what I gather, that was his college fund. And the kicker? He blew $4,400 chasing a measly $44 profit. What a joke. 🤣

The risk-to-reward ratio isn't even remotely sane, and let me tell you, a scenario like that is BOUND to happen eventually. When it does, you don't just lose a massive chunk of your starting bankroll, you lose every little cent you managed to scrape together.

And then you serve someone a shitty cup of coffee 🤦

Stop bragging and acting like betting on these pathetic micro-odds long-term is some kind of winning strategy, because it's absolute nonsense.
It's been proven time and again—this is just one case in point.
It only takes one single match like this, or anything close to it, for the whole theory to fall apart completely.

You really ought to read through these threads:

First things first: how much am I actually willing to lose? 😁
I wouldn't touch that game with a ten-foot pole. I tend to steer clear of matchups where both teams are basically on the same level. Just doesn't interest me.

Can we please stop with all this nonsense? Seriously, enough with the talk about betting on such pathetic, tiny odds. long-term Just pay it out already, because this whole thing is an absolute joke.
It’s happened more than a few times now. This is just one instance of it.
Just one game like that—or even something similar—and the whole theory goes right out the window.

Alright, enough about that. One post from me on this topic and that’s that. I purposely included the screenshot so you can see the game itself—the odds don't matter at all here. What matters is your take on it.
