The 5 USD, obviously.

It’s been a while since I last updated this blog. Trading on RL isn't exactly my preferred method, but it feels like a waste to ignore easy money when it's sitting right there on the table.
I managed to pull about 30 USD out of it, which I'm now rolling into a new little project.

Welcome, everyone. And of course, a special welcome to the serious traders out there—those actually looking to swap real insights and experience.

You can't just toss odds aside like they're nothing. A 1.01 odd in tennis isn't the same thing as some blowout soccer match like Sweden vs. San Marino. Plus, if you're playing live, that starting 1.01 or 1.03 can climb way higher—it becomes a killer opportunity.

I don't know if this counts as a solid sample size, but from June 30th to September 14th, there were 39 bets, and only 3 times did the odds deviate from those "ultra-tiny" levels. That’s enough info for me to draw a conclusion.😉
Long story short: profit.

If you actually dropped 47k USD at Bet365, I wouldn't believe you. Most people, myself included, get limited once we hit the $5,000-$8,000 range. If you're moving 47 grand in three months, the CIA would probably be knocking on your door already.🙄

Seriously, if you’re moving $47,000 in volume over just three months, the CIA would be knocking on your door before you could even finish your next parlay. 🙄

Nah, Kazy, I actually trust him. Look, Bet365 is going to limit you if you start pulling out big withdrawals or if you're betting on those sketchy matches with crazy high odds. But this kind of play? It doesn't bother them at all—honestly, they actually want people playing like this.

Does anyone know how to go about deleting my data or closing my account on Bet-at-home?
I've been scouring their website, but I haven't managed to find anything useful at all.

Just shoot them an email asking to shut the whole thing down.
Down the road if you change your mind, I can help you get back in or you can just set up a fresh one.😉

Thanks, buddy... though I suppose opening a new one is allowed.

I pulled out less than 1k USD maybe 5 or 6 times before they hit me with the limit 🤣

Maybe it’s because of those sketchy matchups ☕😁

Greetings to everyone. I have a question for the group, though I hope I don't come across as some sort of clueless amateur who hasn't done their homework. I’ve spent quite a bit of time pouring over various online sportsbook reviews, and I’ve eventually arrived at the conclusion that Bet365 might be the most logical choice for someone just starting out. If it weren't for that rather somber, dark background they use—which I find a bit dreary, honestly—it would probably be my top pick without hesitation. I was actually torn between Unibet and Bet365 for a while, but the former didn't quite sit right with me. That being said, I suppose I should ask if anyone here with a bit more seasoned experience could offer some insight? I am looking for any real-world advice or personal experiences regarding Bet365 specifically. My thanks to you all. 🙂

Am I really the only idiot out there using Bwin? Or rather, I *was* using them—because I'm done. Why? Because I just found out today that if someone retires in a tennis match, Bwin doesn't record it at 1.0 odds. Fish was up 1-0 in games and then had to retire, and that was the one single parlay I missed because Bwin credited the win to Blake instead. Am I stupid, crazy, or just missing something here? I honestly thought—and hoped—that Bwin was a more serious sportsbook...

What exactly is unprofessional or weird about that? They have their own specific rules for tennis just like any other sportsbook out there. The fact that the result didn't swing in your favor doesn't mean they aren't "serious"—it just means you should probably check the house rules before putting money down on tennis. If you're betting on matches, you really need to be familiar with how individual books handle retirements. Here’s a list of all the relevant US sportsbooks and their tennis rules, and you'll see that Bwin isn't doing anything different from most of the others:

But how can they be an "unserious" sportsbook if they're actually just following their own rules? No offense intended, but you're being an unserious bettor if you don't study the fine print before putting money down. Personally, I always make sure I know which books won't count a retirement at 1.0 odds so I can actually exploit that if the right opportunity pops up—like when you get word that a player is limping onto the court.
Sorry man, now that you know how they play things, don't cry over the lost cash; just figure out how to turn that knowledge into an advantage later on. 😉
They didn't actually do anything wrong here.

I misspoke earlier—it’s not that they aren't serious. They just have their own set of rules. That one's on me.
Basically: I'm just being an idiot!

Thanks for the link—definitely good to have on hand. I ended up placing my bets through Bwin just because I was too lazy to head out to the local shop. Total amateur move on my part.

And that’s exactly how they calculate it during service games in tennis. So Bwin isn't being stupid here, and they're definitely not the only ones doing it this way.

Dammit, I just realized someone already beat me to it.

Hey there, good people. I'm young and pretty green when it comes to betting, so I decided to join this forum to hopefully pick up some wisdom from the pros.
I want to open an account with an online sportsbook, but I'm stuck on which one to choose. From what I can gather, most people aren't exactly thrilled with Bet-at-home... maybe I'm misreading the room, but that's why I'm asking you guys—which one should I go with? Also, I'm planning to deposit about 50 USD to start betting exclusively on draws, specifically chasing the X with a doubling strategy. I’d start small, like 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 USD, because I'm really hoping—REALLY hoping—that a team like Fiorentina can't pull off more than five games without a draw.
What do you all think? I could really use some advice here; if I'm wrong and this is a bad idea, I don't want to end up in a massive financial hole. Thanks in advance to everyone willing to chat.

154. back at it again with the exact same question and the same old idea 🤦

Check out this thread —and hey, if that doesn't kill your appetite for doubling down, maybe give that method a shot. Just let us know once you've managed to pull together enough credit to pay off those debts 😉.

I want to open an account with an online sportsbook, but I have no clue which one to pick????? Most people don't seem too thrilled with Bet-at-home, if I'm reading the room right... maybe I'm wrong, but that's why I'm asking you guys—which one should I go with????? Also, another thing—I want to deposit about $50 and start betting exclusively on draws by doubling my stakes.. I’d start with $1, then $2, $4, $8, $16, $32 because I'm hoping—REALLY HOPING—that the Italians, say Fiorentina, can't pull off more than five games in a row without a draw
What do you all think? Any advice would be huge, because if I'm tripping and this idea is garbage, I don't want to end up in a massive financial hole! Thanks in advance to anyone willing to chat..

Look, Bet-at-home isn't actually that bad; they're fair and legit enough, but their odds tend to lag a bit behind the big hitters.

As for how you plan to play with that $50—if I were in your shoes, I'd suggest Bet365. Right now, they're offering a 100% match on your first deposit up to $100. Basically, they double your starting cash up to a hundred bucks. If you go that route, just make sure you actually read the Terms and Conditions carefully, because there are specific hoops you have to jump through before you can move any money out. Once you figure that out, you could also look into the "Mobile deposit" bonus, which is another 100% match, though capped at $50.

Just to be clear, Bet365 doesn't quite hit the heights of the Asian books or Pinnacle when it comes to the actual odds, but they have better margins and arguably the best live betting selection among all the European sportsbooks.

I don't want to sound like I'm just singing their praises, though. If you start hitting big wins and making withdrawals with larger sums (we're talking significant amounts of USD), they'll limit you pretty quickly. For me, that's their only real downside, because their initial limits for a fresh account are more than decent.

Regarding the Martingale stuff, Tominator already gave you an answer, and it looks like you've reached the right conclusion yourself. 😉

If you're thinking about playing with 50 USD, I might suggest looking at Bet365. Right now, they’re offering a 100% match on your first deposit up to 100 USD. Essentially, they double your initial deposit up to a 100 USD cap. If you decide to go down that route, I’d strongly advise reading through the Terms and Conditions carefully, as there are certain requirements you'll need to meet before you can actually make a withdrawal. Once you've navigated that, you could also look into the "Mobile deposit" bonus, which is another 100% match, just capped at 50 USD.

Generally speaking, while Bet365's odds might be a little lower than what you'd find at Asian books or Pinnacle, they offer much deeper markets and arguably the most extensive live betting selection among all European sportsbooks.

I don't want to sound like I'm just singing their praises, though. If you start hitting significant withdrawals—I mean amounts well over a few hundred USD—you'll likely find yourself getting limited quite quickly. In my opinion, that's their only real drawback, because for a fresh account, their starting limits are more than adequate.

Regarding the Martingale strategy, Tominator already gave you an answer, and it looks like you've reached the right conclusion. 😉

Listen, betting guys, this isn't some hobby for me; betting is a business, just like any other. My advice would be to steer clear of online betting at places like Bwin or Bet365. The real headache usually comes down to withdrawing your money, among several other issues. Based on my own experience, I'd say stick to local US sportsbooks that offer online platforms; it's much easier to get your cash out. For anyone interested in the world of online betting, you can learn a bit more by checking out my personal forum chat. You can follow my live betting slips there too; I don't bet for entertainment, I bet to turn a profit. If you're skeptical, feel free to check out the winning slips posted on the forum.
