Ronald Cox96 said:Is it safe to take a supplement if it’s past its expiration date? I'm not talking about three or four months down the line—just maybe fifteen days or so. I grabbed one on sale because it was nearing its end date. A buddy of mine claims it's perfectly fine as long as you don't let it sit around for months after the fact. I wanted to get some outside perspectives before I start crushing these 🙂

Sure, you can, but don't drag your feet. Use it up immediately.
If you notice a sour taste after a while, toss it in the trash.

If it starts tasting sour after a while, just toss it.

I'm talking about the 2:1:1 Recovery powder, and the expiration date is May 2011. That should cover the whole month. Honestly, the only reason I grabbed it was because the price was slashed specifically because of that date. Plus, I see people raving about it online, and I figured I could polish it off within two or three weeks anyway. It's actually pretty good 🙂

Yeah, that covers all of May.
Using a variety of protein and carb sources is definitely a superior combo compared to just slamming pure whey and glucose after a workout.

Let me jump in here 🙂
Honestly, if you want to stay in shape, nothing beats just being active. It always has, and it always will.
Even when you go to see your doctor, that’s the first thing they’re going to tell you. So, don't go overboard with crazy diets and all that nonsense right away... just start by getting moving twice a week—just some sports or exercise—while keeping your diet pretty much the same. You'll see results before you know it. If you really want something intense, though, try playing squash. You can burn through five kilos of sweat in a single match. 🙂
For what it's worth, I'm about 175 pounds and 5'10".
Later 🙂

Maybe you should focus more on hitting the books instead of spending all your time at the gym👍...

Are you positive it's Scitec?
Which bucket are we talking about here? The black and gray one?

I honestly have to wonder which supplements actually deviate by more than 5% from what’s printed on the label.🤷🙂

I really can't be bothered to click through that link again, but if my memory serves me right, there was also a box of Muscletech Cell TECHa tucked in there too...

In the nicest way possible, could you point me toward where I can find those cheaper prices? I'm looking at 200 count...

I directed my comment at "chuck90," not you.
I’m talking about ON whey.
Twinlab is overpriced, and unless you're a high-level athlete, there's zero reason to be slamming those massive doses of vitamins and minerals.

I'm genuinely curious about the actual research data specifically tied to that product.

Listen up, everyone. I've got some bad news for you.
Some of you might have already heard the rumors, but I want to make this clear: retailers in Canada have already started hiking prices on whey concentrate and casein. This isn't random; global market prices have been climbing steadily since the start of the year.
I fully expect we’ll see those same price hikes hitting the US soon, so my advice is simple: stock up while you still can.

I’m being dead serious here.

Take a look at this:http://www.prlog.org/10705477-price-...must-read.html

Even though this article dates back to 2010, the logic holds perfectly for today. Massive corporations sit on huge stockpiles of raw materials, which acts as a buffer, meaning they don't feel the sting of rising costs immediately—but once those reserves run dry, the consumer pays the price.

The article itself dates back to 2010, but the logic holds up for this year too. Big corporations carry massive raw material inventories, so they don't feel the sting of new market prices immediately.

Can you give me a specific link showing exactly which products went up in price in Canada?

Not a single one in retail yet, but don't hold your breath—it's coming...
Wholesale costs have already surged. The supply side has jumped, so it’s just a matter of time before the consumer sees that hit at the register. Don't expect a sudden overnight spike; they’ll likely bleed the prices up incrementally.
I’m getting this intel straight from the source, and that article you mentioned only reinforces what I'm seeing.
Besides, this trend has been staring us in the face for quite a while now.
