Michael Lee4 said:Looking at the replay of Vettel and Hamilton going through the pits... it's playing back in slow motion. Hamilton overtook him on the entry, just like how Alonso did to Massa, but then on the exit, Vettel shoved Hamilton toward the right, off the track... they should both get penalized.

It’s a pit lane designed for one car; he shouldn't have been able to shove him off.
Hamilton needed to swallow his pride and just let it go—as hard as that might be—instead of forcing an incident with that kind of aggression.

Look, I get why you're worked up about Vettel's result—it was rough—but don't go throwing stones at Fernando Alonso just because of that. 😬

Instead of taking all that heat and aiming it straight at Lewis Hamilton like everyone else does, 🙏 🤣

😂 😂

he's not gonna stop talking trash about Alonso. Honestly, it's basically his favorite hobby right after grabbing a beer. ☕

And let's not forget Jenson Button 🙂

Alonso has always been a lucky guy, while Jenson Button seems to be at the mercy of the weather.
Canada 2006, then Australia this year, and now China.

Look, regarding why Alonso should have been penalized: he overtook Felipe Massa while entering the pits. We all know there are pit lane lines you aren't supposed to cross when entering or exiting. I've seen plenty of drivers get dinged for cutting those lines when they pull out onto the track too early. Alonso did the exact same thing coming into the pits—he wasn't even staying within the lines. It’s a safety rule for a reason, and he should've been penalized for it.

Alonso got the penalty he deserved. Honestly, he lost way more ground on that early start than he gained from the penalty, so whatever. Race was absolute fire, though. I totally lost track of who was on what compound halfway through, yeah... Lewis Hamilton was just a beast. If he wasn't in F1 right now, the sport would probably be 50% less interesting. He’s easily the most aggressive driver out there. As for that shoving match with Vettel, both guys were at fault, so I doubt any penalties come from that. But pushing Mark Webber off the track? He’s definitely getting slapped with a 10-place grid penalty in Barcelona!!!
I don't get why they called the second SC. The guys cleaned up the debris, and the SC stayed out for like another 3 laps after that. They never call an SC just for a few scraps on the track, but hey, whatever.

And look, if Hamilton had pitted second—and Alonso actually pitted five times and still finished third—it wouldn't even be about them driving significantly better than everyone else. It was purely because of that SC. In my opinion, Alonso was down nearly a full minute before the SC came out, so if Jenson Button hadn't pitted, I bet Rosberg would've cruised to a massive win. Take everything with a grain of salt.

Overall, killer race, mostly thanks to the rain. Anyone else think it's all a conspiracy? Like they can just control the weather whenever they want?

We all know there are those white lines marking the pit lane entry and exit that drivers aren't allowed to cross. We've seen plenty of drivers get flagged for cutting across that line too early when they're exiting the pits to merge back onto the track. Well, Alonso did the exact same thing when he was heading into the pits—he wasn't actually within those designated lines. It’s all about safety, really, and that kind of thing ought to be penalized.

That penalty doesn't apply when you're entering the pits; it only applies when you're exiting onto the track.👍

It really does feel like one massive conspiracy to me.😁

Instead of venting all that hate on Lewis like everyone else does, 🙏🤣

When Schumacher is that bad, he isn't even worth mentioning.🤣

If Michael improves, maybe Alonso won't be such an easy target all the time.😬

Honestly, I'd love to take a swing at Christian Horner just to see what happens, 🙂 but I don't have the chance. 🙂

Lewis Hamilton is a great driver—dirty, sure, but aggressive and good.

I don't know, he's a great driver, I guess.

BUT

I think Lewis Hamilton is better, and by quite a margin. Gumbek drives well when he's leading, but that's about it—though I wouldn't downplay today's win, since there are probably only five drivers in F1 who could actually capitalize on an opportunity like that. 🙏

Gumbek doesn't deal with that massive, hysterical ego problem, unlike Hemić, 🤷 which I suppose gives him a huge edge. 🙏 He stays calm, rational, and sensible. 👍

He deserves to be ahead of that little group of nobodies. 🙏 🙏 😬

Honestly, McLaren's sheer pace and dominance on the straights was just terrifying..😲

Overall, it was a pretty decent race..☕😁
I'm actually quite glad I recorded it, so I can sit back and watch it again at my own pace later..
As for penalties, in my opinion, nobody really deserved one today... Alonso got his, sure, but the idea that he was trying to cheat is just nonsense—the chances of pulling that off are basically zero. People were just high-strung at the start; he was aiming for that perfect millisecond right as the red lights went out, missed it, took the standard penalty, and that was that..☕

To pivot slightly to the team I’m rooting for:
Nico Rosberg: Such a shame about that mistake that cost him his position—he was driving brilliantly otherwise. As for getting overtaken by Lewis Hamilton 🙏 it's a pity Lewis managed to jump him in the pits; that could have been a really fine battle through to the finish line..
Michael Schumacher: There were definitely moments where he showed that old veteran grit.. specifically when he held Lewis Hamilton up for two laps while using a car that was about 3 seconds slower.. towards the end of the race, he clearly hit a bit of a rough patch since Felipe Massa built a lead of over 4 seconds in a single lap.. he can do better than that, and I truly believe he will..☕
It's a shame Blaž didn't wrap things up with that comment regarding Rosberg's grandfather..

The rest:
Robert Kubica and Vitaly Petrov 👍
Red Bull: Pretty mediocre..
Fernando Alonso 👍
Felipe Massa 🤦
And that's about all from me, thanks for reading..😁

Fine, if that's how it works, they need to fix the rulebook. If this keeps happening during pit entries under a Safety Car, we're going to see way too many SC periods just because of debris at the pit entry. Or what if a car gets stuck there...

And one more thing they should penalize is the lead driver slowing down the pack right as the Safety Car pulls in. It's pure idiocy.

if Michael steps his game up, I won't be seeing Alonso in the crosshairs nearly as much😬

honestly, I’d love to just take a swing at Christian Horner—just to see him stumble somewhere--🙂 but man, I don't think I'll ever get the chance🙂

let's go on an expedition to hunt down Horner together... we'll lure him out so he buys us a round of beers, and then you can jump in... give him a good shakeup and then snatch the beer right out of his hand🤣

but seriously—stop messing with Alonso🙂

I honestly think it's brilliant how Lewis Hamilton just hammers it from the jump and keeps that pace up until the tires finally give up the ghost. Just absolute madness!🙏👍

If Michael Schumacher starts finding his form again, I won't be seeing Fernando Alonso in the headlines quite as often.😬

Honestly, I’d love to see Christian Horner get a bit of a reality check out there—it would be interesting to see him face some pressure for once🙂 but I guess we'll just have to wait and see how things unfold.🙂

Lewis Hamilton is a solid driver; he can be a bit dirty on the track sometimes, but he’s aggressive and undeniably talented.

You know that saying, "stand by someone when they're at their lowest"? Well, that's exactly where Michael is right now.
That's why everyone keeps coming for Alonso...👍 👍

Lewis Hamilton isn't a dirty driver on the track. He just knows how to be aggressive, both with his competitors and with his own car.

I don't see any flaw in that. Quite the opposite, actually.

And he's fast, almost like Vitaly Petrov. 🙏🙏🙏
