Everyone else keeps messing up while he stays quiet, keeps his cool, and just drives. I'm not exactly a fan—he's kind of like a chewed-up tire to me—but he’s good. 😉

Let him win 🙏 if only out of pure spite for Lewis 🙂 😬

I've always been on Gumbek's side; it was pretty hard to watch how the British media treated him 🙄 After all these years, he deserves a little bit of joy 🙏 🙂

He actually drove a pretty solid race, but I guess in any sport, starting like that deserves a disqualification because those kinds of dirty tactics really ought to be penalized properly.😳

I wonder when they last actually waved the black flag for a jump-start. As far as I can tell, most sports would simply order a restart in those circumstances, and if the violation happens again, the athlete is disqualified. I suppose in F1, given how specific the technical conditions are, that just isn't really practical. It seems to me that forcing a driver through the pits to strip away any illegal advantage they might have gained is probably the most optimal way to handle it.☕

Watching the replay of Vettel and Hamilton through the pits right now... it’s like a glitch in the matrix from 2016. Hamilton lunged past him on the entry, just like Alonso did to Massa, but then Vettel shoves Hamilton wide off the track on the exit. They both deserve a penalty.

Here’s the press conference footage. They asked Željko Komšić about that incident in the pits with Sebastian Vettel, and he played dumb, acting like he had no idea what they were talking about 🤣

Then, he suddenly remembered and claimed that Vettel gave him a little nudge 🙄😁

I was just scrolling through some racing news on ESPN and saw that Massa mentioned how he thinks Alonso's pit lane move was actually fine...
He basically admitted that he was the one who messed up the corner entry back then.

And what about Hamilton overtaking Vettel during the SC period?

No way. Vettel was ahead of Hamilton and stayed within his lines. Hamilton didn't.
No penalties needed for that mess.

They just showed exactly that on CNN. I guess Sebastian Vettel isn't at fault after all.

He gained an unfair advantage, so they took it away... simple as that.

That's just cheating. There isn't a single sport out there where cheaters get a slap on the wrist.🙂

For cheating, there’s only one real penalty: disqualification.☕

Look, I know you're a fan, just like half the people on this forum, but if Hamilton or Michael Schumacher had done the exact same thing, everyone would be tearing them apart right now and the FIA would've handed out a penalty in a heartbeat.☕

Fernando Alonso 👎 👎 👎

In Formula 1, they hand out a "drive-through" penalty for that.

Before they introduced the drive-through penalty, they used to hand out the ten-second stop-and-go.

Which part isn't clear enough for you? ☕

🤷Maybe, but honestly, I don't see any reason to penalize anyone here. There was zero shoving and nobody crossed the white line. Hamilton just pulled out behind Vettel and moved sideways—calling that "shoving" is a stretch.😕

They might get dinged for pit lane speed, but that's it. I don't see another reason. If anything, Massa and Alonso should've been the ones punished for forcing their way into the pits.

Before they started doing drive-throughs, they used to hit them with a stop-and-go (10 seconds).

Which part of this is confusing you? ☕

Look, I get how it works. Those are the rules. But just because they exist doesn't mean they're actually good or fair.😉
It’s a joke. It’s basically cheating. They hand out these penalties for stupid stuff like driving 50 miles/h through the pits or for standard racing incidents, but this? This feels rigged. The punishment is way too light.☕

I mean, look, he drove a hell of a race once things actually got moving, but you can't just pull dirty stunts like that at the lights and expect to walk away clean. In any sport, if you play that kind of dirty, they've gotta hand out the DQ. That’s how you keep the game fair, isn't it? You can't reward those kinds of cheap moves.😳

What a joke. It was a drive-through penalty, and he handled it like a total pro!🙄

stormybadger8 said:🤷I mean, maybe, though I honestly can't see any reason to hand out a penalty to anyone here; there wasn't any pushing involved, nor did anyone cross the white line, so I don't get the fuss. Hamilton simply pulled out from behind Vettel and moved laterally to hold his position, which isn't pushing at all.😕

Maybe they can hit them with a speeding penalty, but honestly, I can't see any other valid reason for it. If we’re actually looking to hand out punishments, they really ought to be going after Massa and Alonso first for that aggressive shoving during the pit lane entry.

You used to be quite stubborn, if I recall correctly...

What a total sham... you have absolutely no idea how much tension there is right at the starting line of any race...

It’s a purely reflexive decision, really... there’s just no way someone can walk away from that without facing consequences.

I don't even know where to start with this one... honestly, just looking at the state of things right now makes me want to throw my phone across the room...
He’s still a total loser and a complete piece of work, honestly... 🙂
