Pessimists. You guys are way too negative. ☕
And even without Lackovic 😁
plus Duvnjak pulled through at the very last second.

If we play with a slow ball, we’re just inviting unnecessary fouls where all we're going to get is a beating...
Instead of picking up the pace and shaking up their defense...
I honestly can't believe I had to log in just to say this, but do you have some kind of freaking obsession with Lina? I've only read one page of this thread—just your five posts—and somehow, Lina is the main character in every single one of them. 🙂

Forex said:man, then Balic should just be the head coach🤣
nah.
the thing is—the US national team did pretty well under him—but he’s definitely not the key player here. if anything, he might actually be the weakest link.
honestly, someone else would probably crush it even more with this roster.
my curse is having to watch games on foreign networks—you know, the ones with actual pros, former coaches, and legends on the commentary team. they don't hold back when talking about any coach, period.
well, they haven't blinked once—they've even laughed at our coach's nonsensical calls... so, you read the local forums, check the papers, add my own take (which is obviously the most important one), and there it is: Lino's just a clown. a likable one, sure, but still...

I don't get why they benched Buntic today, but whatever, props to our guys. Huge win, congrats!

Adam Collins4 said:Trolle, Cervar was setting the pace in the first half, when nobody was stepping out to guard the perimeter shooters, and on offense, he was brilliant at slowing down the ball just to make sure our guys took as much punishment as possible...
A true genius...
Come on, give me at least one decent take on today's game...🤣
Man, just get real already!!

We actually managed to tear them apart in the second half, seriously, props to the guys. That defensive setup was solid, and once we started moving faster and being more mobile on offense, everything just clicked—that's exactly how it needs to look. It’s such a massive contrast to that complete standstill we saw in the first half... truly impressive 🙏🙏🙏
And now we've got the nightmare matchup against the French again 🤮 I don't know, I'm almost afraid to say I'm feeling a little optimistic, so I won't even go there 😁 basically, they're probably going to run right over us ☕

Honestly, instead of bickering with each other, you should all just head out and celebrate somewhere...

nice.🙂
Wait, when did I ever say that?...
I'm just calling it like it is—just like most people in this thread—pointing out the stuff that was clearly subpar today...
And honestly? That's the kind of stuff that’s going to come back to haunt us against the French... they don't miss opportunities like that...
It's funny to me that most folks here—the ones who aren't busy blindly defending certain personalities without any actual logic—are all pointing out the exact same mistakes that need fixing...
But hey, why bother with substance? It's much more fun to just troll...

The point? Well, I suppose that’s the question at the heart of everything, isn't it? Is there actually a central thesis here, or are we all just drifting through the noise? Sometimes I wonder if we spend more time looking for the target than actually taking the shot. What do you think? Sure, the national team has seen some incredible results with him leading the charge. But is he really the most vital piece of the puzzle? Honestly, I’m starting to wonder if he might actually be the weakest link in the chain.
Anyone else would have probably done so much more with that group of guys.
It’s honestly my curse. I always end up watching games on international broadcasts instead of local ones. There's just something about those crews—they almost always have professional commentators, former coaches, or retired players in the booth. They aren't afraid to call it like they see it. They'll tear into any coach without hesitation, right?
People have poked fun at our coach's baffling decisions more than once—some even laughed out loud. If you take a moment to scan the discussions on the forums, flip through the local papers, and then factor in my own take (which is arguably the most important one), the picture becomes crystal clear: Lino is a bit of a clown. He’s a likable guy, sure, but still...
Are we still whining about the decline of the American language? 🤣

But these trolls who can't say a single intelligent thing about the game, yet constantly jump in from the sidelines? They just don't get it...
Nobody is taking away the results Lino achieved...
The issue is that what you're doing isn't some "inside joke"—it's actually becoming a real problem.
Go back and scroll through the first seven pages and take a look at your own posts 😉
And of course, when things go south, it's all Lin Chervar's fault; but when we win? Suddenly everyone else deserves the credit except him.

Alright, enough nonsense.
I’m usually the first one to pass on calling someone a clown, but once again, the clown proved the point.
Sure, he's a fool—he’s basically patting himself on the back while writing off his own reputation, yet somehow he still comes out looking like a winner.
So, congratulations to Lin Chervar.

Honestly, you guys are getting tedious with this whole Chervar and Kopljár obsession...
People actually thought we were heading into the ep 2010 finals. They’re probably going to bed tonight dreaming of silver medals. But clearly, I was wrong...
"Kopljár's ten minutes" is going to haunt us tomorrow. Lino doesn't have a clue, Lacković is useless, Štrelk is just out there playing amateur... it's pathetic.😂
Tomorrow, once we realize we just lost to one of the best teams on the planet, the salt is going to be flowing off our monitors like crazy.
Go ahead, celebrate if you want. Who gives a damn?

Everything that’s happened over these past two weeks is basically going to be forgotten, because once those sixty minutes are up tomorrow, you’re either standing on top or you’re walking away empty-handed.
History tends to only remember the winners, much like how one of the greatest athletes ever put it—if you finish in second place, all you really are is the best loser there is.

I’m usually the first person to roll my eyes at a clown, but once again, this clown proved his point.
Yeah, he’s an idiot. He basically writes himself off, yet somehow manages to crawl back out with a trophy.
So, congrats to Lin Chervar.
Fair play to him.

Look, I’m usually the first one to call out a total clown, but once again—the clown actually pulled it off.
Yeah, he’s an idiot. He basically writes himself off, yet somehow manages to stumble his way back into a gold medal. It's ridiculous.
So, anyway, congrats to Lin Chervar.
I'll jump on the bandwagon too...

rapidbison42 said:Alright, let's cut the nonsense.
I’m usually the first one to doubt any kind of underdog story, but once again, the skeptic was proven wrong.
Sure, he might have looked like a fool at times—almost like he was writing himself off—yet somehow he manages to stumble back onto the podium.
So, all I can say is congratulations to Lin Chervar.
I think I'm the eleventh person to chime in here, if my math is right, but I completely agree with this sentiment.
Huge congrats to Chervar on the medal.

Samuel Baker3 said:everything that happened over these last two weeks is basically irrelevant—after tomorrow's 60 minutes, you're either a champion or a loser.
History only cares about the winners—kind of like how the GOAT of his sport used to say: if you finish second, you’re just the best loser there is.
Well, I wouldn't go that far...
We're a relatively small nation here in the States, but we live and breathe handball... people will remember this, and maybe even a silver medal.
Especially in a year where there isn't a FIFA World Cup to distract us... at least not for us.
Tomorrow, the boys just need to step up and show what they've got, and that'll be that.
Like Grain said: "Let's just go out there, give it hell, and see what happens."
Just, above all else—keep your heads in the game.
