Ashley Carter95 said:you guys totally trashed this thread with that damn Lino talk already🙄

Yeah, seriously, where would they even go😁
The mods need to lock these threads within 10 minutes after the game ends so we don't all end up looking like total idiots in front of the whole massive crowd that jumps on here and wonders if they accidentally stumbled onto the wrong forum🤦

Look, plenty of us aren't exactly big fans of Červar... and honestly, I can see why people think he's just a mascot or a loudmouth who can only repeat the same three lines over and over again. 🙄

But here’s the reality: under his "leadership," we are winning medals. Whether he actually deserves the credit for that is a whole different conversation, because Lino Červar certainly isn't the one doing the heavy lifting.

Nicholas Lopez6 said:Look, I’m talking about that specific moment when the Americans realized the clock was running out and they just decided to go all-in on an all-or-nothing play.

If they knew there were only a few minutes left, anything could have happened—honestly. But knowing Lino Červar, I know he would have managed to pull everything together even in those absolute chaos moments.🤣

I have to admit, Červar was incredibly calm today, which actually caught me off guard...

He even took that composed approach against the Danes... well, as much composure as you can muster...

I get the feeling that after playing Austria, he realized it’s just smarter to let that other guy lose his mind and yell...

It works with the refs too—as soon as they see one guy screaming for no reason, they’re way more likely to listen to the calmer one... maybe even actually respect what he's saying...

I’m hoping he stays as level-headed as possible against the Frenchmen, though since it’s the championship game, tensions are obviously going to be through the roof...

Especially because Onesta has shown throughout this tournament that he’s been pretty high-strung... which isn't really his usual style... so, let him run wild. Honestly, any help is good help at this point, even if it comes from the opposing coach...

He looked rough during the first half. Honestly, based on how they were playing, staying within striking distance of the score was a miracle. Then the offense finally woke up.

The Americans are better, and honestly, it’d be a shock if we pulled an upset. But maybe that’s our edge—all the pressure is on them...

Just making it to the finals is massive. When you look at all the big powerhouses that couldn't even touch a semifinal, this is huge. The US is arguably the best team on the planet right now, so I'm not holding my breath for tomorrow...

You guys already got your fill of Temu-level trash about Červar.
From here on out, it’s nothing but straight wins. Starting with the ones who actually earned them.
PS, obviously I'm not gonna sit here white-knuckling every single post. When I get back to my desk, it's gonna be absolute chaos if this trolling keeps up.

The Americans are better, and frankly, if we pull this off, it’ll be a massive upset. But hey, maybe that’s our edge—they’re the ones feeling the heat here...

Just making it to the finals is a huge win in itself—especially when you look at all those other powerhouse teams that couldn't even sniff a semifinal. The Americans are arguably the best squad on the planet right now, so I’m not going into tomorrow expecting miracles...

LINO IS OUT! ☕

If we play defense the way we did against the Danes—even if Mirko isn't quite at his peak compared to then—we definitely have a shot...

Especially if we handle the penalty shootout aggressively, catching them before they can even get their footing and take the shot...

And in every single matchup, you just have to show that hunger to win—try to rattle the Americans and knock them off balance...

Get them struggling, getting in each other's heads, and probably complaining to the refs more than anything else...

Compared to last year, the global handball landscape hasn't shifted much. If anything, the gap between the Americans and everyone else has actually widened, thanks to the sheer quality coming out of France and the US.
Sure, we’re missing Pero, but compared to last season, we have an Alilović who is twice as good, we have Štrlek stepping up where the MVP left off, and we have Balić playing at a peak level.
Dule has been showing over the last two games exactly why he belongs among the world's elite. He and Balić basically gave the Poles a lesson today—and a painful one at that.
They ran a fifteen-minute simultaneous attack on them, leaving the opposition just standing there, staring.

Yep... something we haven't seen before..
The way Balić played that simultaneous offensive play today—pulling the strings right when it mattered most and essentially orchestrating the entire squad—was the absolute pinnacle of handball. It’s honestly textbook stuff.🙏🙏🙏🙏
We were still playing a bit disorganized during the first half, which the Poles managed to exploit, but once we tightened up that mobile defense and paired it with a solid, versatile offense, they didn't stand a chance.
Kudos to our guys—I somehow harbored this feeling that this squad could pull off a surprise, but reaching the final is a massive achievement.
Tomorrow, the French will likely have the edge, but you can never truly count the Americans out; anything can happen.
Respect to them.🙏🙏

Nicholas Lopez6 said:Anyway, back to the topic—huge props to our guys. That game was a total mess right until the buzzer, just like always. If they had even one or two more minutes on the clock, I honestly think they could've pulled off an overtime trip, provided luck was on their side.🙄

Seriously though, we have this habit of overcomplicating everything. We were leading for most of the second half, and I swear, both me and basically everyone at the bar were losing our minds watching it...

It’s simple: the moment we get a three-point lead, we pull some stupid move or someone gets a technical.

We just need to keep our cool against the Frenchmen...

What’s everyone’s take on Kljaić as a commentator and expert?

Adam Collins4 — what’s your professional opinion on him? 😁

Personally, I think he’s great. He’s actually quite enjoyable to listen to. 😍

Check out the part around 1:18 🙏 🙏 🙏

I am usually the first person to refuse to call anyone a clown—but as per usual, the clown has proven his title.
Yes, he is an idiot. He gets lucky even when he writes himself off, yet somehow always manages to come out on top with a medal.
Therefore, my congratulations go to Lin Červar.

Congrats to America and congrats to Lin Červar... 🙏🙏

"klaun Lino" actually delivers results—unlike certain other untouchable American "coaching gods." If Lin Červar were young, handsome, and charming like that particular football gentleman, we wouldn't have "run out of luck"—instead, every single journalist in this country would be sucking his feet for the rest of their lives. ☕

Congrats to the boys!
They played a hell of a game.

But honestly, I still can't stand Linek; he needs to
get the boot along with that mobster Gobac.

Kljun is the man. 😁

Man, please. We started spiraling way before that, right after NBC failed to even show the first goal of the second half.😉

Ashley Carter95 said:😕 isn't that true? You end up playing them deep, trying to make sure they don't catch sight of the ball, though honestly, that’s pretty tough to pull off against an attack that's this fast and mobile.

But if you're playing them deep, aren't you just leaving space in the corner?🤣

He's definitely interesting to listen to—the man is a top-tier coach... though I doubt he'd get along very well with this loudmouth...

Plus, I've never been a fan of people who treat players like that...
