Ccccc, seriously though, people, this is Windows 7,
if you actually want a Mac, just go buy one. What even is this?
A mod? 🙂

if you're so obsessed with having a Mac, just go buy one already, seriously, what even is this?
is this some kind of mod? 🙂
Did I actually ask for your opinion on anything? ☕

Taylor Morales31 is right. This is a forum thread dedicated to Windows 7, not a guide on how to "cook up" a Mac OS X installation on a PC.
The moderators should feel free to move these posts over here.
Regarding your last post, I can only respond with 🤷. Honestly, I’ve never messed around with Hackintosh-om the way Keith Bennett38 does, nor do I have any reason to—I'm typing this on a Mac.

Done. Everything's been moved.

Back when I was running Windows XP, my speakers worked without any drama. Now that I've moved up to Windows 7, they show as connected, yet the system refuses to recognize them. They just won't play anything. 😳I've tried just about everything in my arsenal, but nothing seems to stick. I am certain the physical connection is solid... so why the silence? Can anyone help me out here? 🤷

back when I was running Windows XP, my speakers worked perfectly fine, but now that I've moved over to Windows 7, they show up as connected but just aren't being recognized by the system, so there's no sound at all 😳 I feel like I've tried every little trick in the book to get them working again, and I'm positive the physical connection is solid... any ideas on how to fix this? 🤷
Maybe it's a driver issue?

I'm fairly certain the connections are solid, too. Any ideas? 🤷
Which motherboard are we talking about? Manufacturer and model? 🙂

I went ahead and installed the Realtek High Definition Audio driver..
edit: does this have anything to do with the motherboard? http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/834/unleduii.png/

Find Driver Genius Pro 10 somewhere. Figure it out. But before you even touch that, get rid of whatever driver you have currently installed because let’s be real—just because a program says it found a driver doesn't mean it's actually a good one.
Update the entire driver database before you run any kind of scan. Run the scan, look at the list of drivers it claims need an update, then download and install them manually...
What you're looking at in that screenshot isn't helping anyone; you can see for yourself right there that it's just listing "unknown" devices.

@Taylor Morales31/">@@Taylor Morales31--I downloaded it, and now it's telling me I need updates. But does that mean the software won't handle the work? Am I stuck downloading every single driver manually, one by one? Is that how it works?
#3515 ·
Alright, here you go—go ahead and download the specific drivers you're looking for right here:
http://support.asus.com/download.asp...6iinKxu0y5agcg Just a heads-up though, that link points to the Windows 7 32-bit version. If you happen to be running a 64-bit system instead, you should probably just switch the operating system selection at the top of the page.

@Taylor Morales31/">@@Taylor Morales31--I ran the tool and it’s telling me I need an update, but apparently the program won't just do it? Do I seriously have to go out and download every single one manually, one by one?
Well, obviously you need to update. The driver database or whatever script you want to call it gets refreshed about three times a month. You could try rescanning with the default base if you really wanted to, but still,

And yeah, of course you can do it through the program—that’s literally what it’s designed for, handling everything from the search to the actual installation. Either buy the software or figure it out yourself; I'm not going to sit here and walk you through it step-by-step. 👍

Could someone please help me out? I'm trying to figure out which graphics card I actually have, but I just can't seem to find it anywhere...

look, if you've already got CCleaner sitting on your machine, just fire it up. Your GPU info should be right there at the top of the window. Easy enough, right?
Or...
Just hit the Start button, type dxdiag into the search bar, and hit enter. Once that pops up, just click over to the Display tab and all your hardware details will be staring you in the face.
Alternatively...
just download Speccy. It’s a solid little tool, does the job without any fuss.
Whatever works for you, man. Pick one and get it done.😬
