Just hit "Print Screen," then go with "special pasta" in Word or a graphics app like "Corel PaintShop Pro" or even Windows "MS Paint"—you'll get an image that looks just like it does in Excel.
Or maybe try Paste Special in Word => Picture (Windows Metafile)

Thanks for the reply... I finally got it working... woohoo!
The issue was exactly what you pointed out regarding "same as previous".

Not really. 🙂

He’s basically stuck with whatever resolution his screen happens to be at—which, in my experience, is often nowhere near sufficient if you're looking for anything resembling serious print quality.

First off, please forgive me if I’ve posted this in the wrong section; if so, feel free to move it.
The question is this: how does one go about creating—assuming it’s even possible—a book cover using Microsoft Office?
Everything else is already finished; I just need to get this cover page added.
I’ve searched everywhere, tried various methods, and scoured the internet, but I am coming up empty-handed.

I would truly appreciate any assistance you can offer.

As far as I can tell, @rustycrane86/">@@rustycrane86 isn't even talking about "print." He just asked how to save as a *.jpg

The best way to handle this is to build your table in Microsoft Office Visio, then export it as a JPG with your specific dimensions and resolution set. Alternatively, you could just use PowerPoint. Thanks to everyone for the help!

Hey everyone! 🙂

I’ve got a quick question—it might be a total newbie mistake, but I figured I'd ask 😁—how do I actually get those little accent marks (like ~ ˇ ^ ˘ ˛ ` ˙ ´ ¸) to sit right above or below a letter?
In Microsoft Office Word, I’m trying to type something like an (ã), but instead of it working, it just keeps typing it as two separate things, like ~ a.

Does anyone know the trick to putting those accents directly onto the letters?

Thanks! 😍

I have a bit of a question—it might be a totally silly one, but what can you do 😁—how on earth do I get these diacritics (like ~ ˇ ^ ˘ ˛ ` ˙ ´ ¸) to actually sit above or below a letter?
In Microsoft Office Word, I’m trying to type a specific character, say (ã), but instead of it working correctly, it just displays as a separate ~ and an a.

Does anyone know how to properly combine these accents with letters?

Thanks. 😍

Go to Insert->dialog symbol->Normal text and just pick the one you need. Another way—though it’s honestly a massive pain in the neck—is to just copy and paste them from the Character Map.

If you find yourself needing these all the time, it might be worth setting up a little macro—for instance, one where pressing 'a' automatically converts it to 'ã'—and then assigning those macros to some function keys.

Is there really no quick and dirty way to get an ã? Like, is there nothing I can just hit on my keyboard 😁to make it happen?

boldcrane6 said:Is there seriously no straightforward way to just type ã (like, some quick keyboard shortcut 😁)?

Just toss that character into AutoCorrect and assign it a weird combo (maybe a"? or something similar).
Hit that combo then tap space, and boom—it swaps right to the letter you want.
Or just stick to those classic Alt codes like ALT+0227, ALT+0228...

Well, I didn't either—it’s buried away in the Insert -> dialog symbol menu. 🙂

Personally, I just handle all of this by using macros assigned to specific function keys. I’ve set up one for every single type of special character... so, for instance, if I need á, é, ó, or í, I just hit a(F9), e(F9), o(F9), or i(F9), and so on. It's much more efficient, I guess.

It wouldn’t hurt to just drop that macro here on the forum so people can grab it if they want to save some hassle (unless it's top secret 😉

I have an English dictionary installed to help me out with my grammar, but whenever I’m drafting something in English, Microsoft Office keeps driving me crazy by constantly changing my wording. I really don't have the bandwidth right now to go hunting for specific examples, but every single time I try to type "of the," the AutoCorrect feature jumps in and changes it to "oft he" the moment I hit the spacebar. It's becoming quite a nuisance because I find myself constantly having to undo what I just wrote. 😠

Is there any way to make keyboard shortcuts (like Ctrl+B for bold, etc.) actually work while I'm inside the "Find and Replace" window?
I know you can set this up through the sub-options, but is there a way to do it without having to click around with the mouse every single time? I just want to hit Ctrl+B or a similar shortcut and be done with it.

Does any text editor out there actually support this functionality?

try deleting your Normal.dotm, reboot your PC, then fire up Word and see if that fixes it

Aren't they already up and running? If you hit CTRL+B, for example, shouldn't you see something like "Format: Bold" popping up right underneath the search field?
