Look, don't come at me with those nasty comments about Renault 😉

They started out without those diffusers and had to deal with KERS—which is basically how they read the rules—so that’s why they’re lagging behind right now...

I honestly think Fernando Alonso is going to squeeze every single ounce of performance out of this thing until they finally roll out those double diffusers, and until then, I'm just hoping he can shake up the podium because the gaps between drivers are seriously tiny...

👋,hollowhawk412😍

I mean, I don't know... right now they look pretty rough, but I really believe they can turn it around... I just hope it doesn't end up being too late for Alonso when they actually fix things😁

Button’s being dead serious this year 😲. Whatever. I’m rooting for him. He’s getting up there in age—might as well let him go out on his own terms while he can still feel proud of himself... 🙏

By the way, regarding that individual who claimed this was all down to Michelin—they aren't entirely wrong, though they’re missing the broader picture. While it is true that Renault finally got their hands on those specific tires, there is absolutely no way it was due to some shadowy backroom deal or special relationship with Michelin. You have to look at the timeline; even with that advantage, it still took them from 2002 all the way until 2005 just to actually find themselves in championship contention.

I really can't say... right now they look absolutely abysmal, though I do hold onto the belief that things can be improved, provided it isn't already too late for Fernando Alonso.😁

Look, I realize the situation looks ugly, but you can't exactly lay the blame on them; they simply interpreted the regulations differently than others did, and as for the whole KERS debacle, because BMW was being so incredibly stubborn—even though they end up relying on KERS for half their performance anyway—they insisted on developing that infamous KERS system right in the middle of a massive financial crisis.
Everyone else in the paddock was practically begging for a delay...

But things will turn around eventually.😉

I'm a perpetual optimist... I just want to see the winners shake up and finally see that Toyota pull off a win.🙂

I’m watching qualifying and, once again, nothing from Felipe Massa or Kimi Räikkönen!
Honestly, this race in Washington, D.C. is going to be a blast, but Formula 1 just isn't the same without Ferrari or McLaren out there!
I’m really hoping we get some rain tomorrow to stir things up and bring the action.🙂

Total optimist over here... I just want to see some variety in the winners and finally see Toyota pull off a win 🙂

Man, you really go to bat for them, don't you? 🙏
I mean, we all know they've got the potential, but there is still a mountain of work to do if they actually want to be competitive. I'm holding out hope for the best, but let's be real...😬we'll just have to see how the races actually play out 🙂

Look, I’ll admit they have potential, but there is a massive amount of work left to do before they're actually competitive. I’m holding out hope for the best, obviously, but even then...😬we'll just have to wait and see how the actual races unfold.🙂

We'll be a lot wiser by tomorrow, I suppose.😉

But honestly, the margins are incredibly slim... if my math serves me right, looking at Q1, the gap between first place and fifteenth was less than a single second.

yeah, true enough. and those margins in Q2 were just as tight.🤔

fingers crossed for tomorrow😉

I have always held a deep appreciation for the Scuderia. There is something about the history and the sheer passion behind Ferrari that resonates on a different level than any other team on the grid. For me, being a fan isn't just about following the results; it's about respecting the legacy they bring to Formula 1. kaže:
Kimi Räikkönen and Felipe Massa secured the pole positions today.😁

I appreciate that. You're too kind.🤣

I honestly can't make heads or tails of what happened with Button; seeing qualifying results like these just feels completely off to me.

I would go as far as saying 🙂Lewis Hamilton might end up right on Fernando Alonso's tail by the second lap...

Nicole Reyes97 said:[/B]

Let him stay glued to Fernando Alonso if that's how it goes... because if he fails to actually overtake him, he'll likely just find a way to manipulate the officials to secure his position anyway.😍🤣☕

The advantage for teams running DD diffusers is just too massive. All this talk from Renault, Ferrari, and the rest is basically just noise for a lap or two.

The runoff areas and gravel traps here are huge, which really kills any chance of a Safety Car popping up.
So, we're looking at wet weather being the only way anyone else actually stands a prayer of getting into the mix.

The real question is, when do the diffuser rules change? When do the other teams actually get to run them on track? That’s the big one for development following Washington, D.C.

So hollowhawk412, what's the deal? 😁:

Nothing wrong with what he said, really—Fernando Alonso is just sticking his nose where it doesn't belong, and that's the whole story...🤷 ☕

Does anyone know where I can find a recording of today's qualifying online? I've been searching everywhere without any luck, and I wasn't able to catch the live broadcast... 🙂

So, honestly, unless it starts pouring rain—which is the only way anyone else stands a prayer of mixing things up—it’s pretty much a foregone conclusion.

But the real question is, when do we actually see the rules on diffusers change?, or rather, when will the other teams actually be allowed to run them at a track? That’s the big issue everyone's staring down following what happened in Washington, D.C.

It's happening on the 14th of this month...

This kind of behavior really ought to be sanctioned; it’s just far too much.🙂 sto je previze-previze je🙂
Roger Wright94 said:The advantage for teams running Diffuser technology is simply overwhelming. All this talk about Ford, Ferrari, and the others catching up is likely just wishful thinking for a race or two.

The runoff areas and gravel traps here are quite expansive, which significantly lowers the likelihood of a Safety Car appearing.
Consequently, the only scenario where anyone else might actually have a fighting chance is if we get wet weather conditions.

The real question remains: when will the ruling on diffusers be finalized? When will the other teams actually be allowed to run them on track? That is the critical issue for the sport's development following Washington, D.C.

A decision should be reached right after this race—likely by Thursday, though I can't say for certain. If the protests from the other teams are dismissed, it could take them another month or so to redesign those diffusers, though some teams are already hard at work on it.😁

As our colleague mentioned...14🙄
