It isn't working at my local USPS branch, though some girls mentioned they had no issues. It seems to depend on the specific clerk you deal with.

Well, it sounds like I'm in the same boat then... There always seems to be some sort of excuse or technicality involved... Regardless, thanks for the insight.πŸ™‚

They always send mine that way.🀷
Whenever the clerk at the UPS Store seems a little hesitant, I just politely ask them to treat it as a package because it’s just much easier for me and it's how I usually handle my shipments and receive things... and they almost always end up accepting the envelope as a package after I ask...

They won't even let me ship a pair of shoes in their original box as a standard packageβ€”they're insisting I squeeze everything into a padded mailer instead β˜•
and then they have the nerve to charge me a premium for it. Honestly, I just don't get it.
It wasn't even a weird request; I was either selling some pre-owned shoes or sending a brand-new pair I bought for a friendβ€”we're talking brand-new shoes, in a brand-new box, neatly wrapped in paper and tied up tightβ€”but the lady at the counter just tells me it won't work that way. She hands me this massive envelope and basically tells me to just shove them inside...:S

Whenever a clerk starts acting difficult, I simply ask them to process it as a standard parcel because it’s more convenient for me and aligns with how I usually handle my deliveries. Once I make that request, they invariably just treat the envelope as a package.

I might try that approach at a different USPS branch... Thanks...

So, if a friend sent me money online yesterday from a different bank to mine, shouldn't that show up in my account by noon today? I can't see anything on my end, and even after stopping by the branch, the teller insisted it should have cleared already, yet there's still absolutely nothing to be found...

Sometimes it can actually take two or even three full business days when you're dealing with different banks.
Just hang in there and wait a little longer, and definitely keep in mind that since it's the weekend now, things might take an extra bit of time...

The price drop was always going to be short-lived. Postal services are hiking their rates to make up for the lost revenue from the tax cuts, so we're looking at returning to $5.00, if not even higher
.

edit - I checked the USPS website, but it still shows $12.27. I'm not sure what's happening since that’s been the standard rate, but I saw on a news site that they actually raised the prices

Hey everyone.

Got a question that isn't exactly about shipping. I ordered some stuff from this girl and need to wire her the cash. I’m planning on just doing it through online banking because I honestly can't be bothered wasting my life standing in lines at banks, post offices, or any other soul-crushing institutions. Quick question thoughβ€”do I just put the bank's routing number followed by her account number (like if I were using JPMorgan Chase: routing number - account number), or should I enter the full combined account string and then just list her account number in the memo field (like 123456789-987654321; Memo: Payment for [Name])?

Hello,
I sent off a package via HP Express... It was a COD (cash on delivery) shipment. The tracking promised it would arrive by 2:00 PM the following day, and it was perfectly punctualβ€”delivered right on time, picked up without issue, and paid for in full. Hmm... now the question is, how long am I actually supposed to wait to see that money? I stopped by the local post office to ask, and they just told me that the mail carrier will be dropping it off at my house eventually. :/ But when exactly should I expect that? :S

Maybe two, three days tops, shouldn't take any longer than that

I’m not entirely sure if this is the right place to ask, but maybe someone here can help me out...
I was wondering how long it usually takes for a transfer from Chase to move over to Bank of America...

I'm tracking a package coming in from the USA, and when I entered the tracking number, this popped up
3/12/2010 1:57:00 PM USA 10004 WASHINGTON, D.C. CUSTOMS Record item customs information (Inb)
Retention reason : Invoice missing

What does that actually mean? πŸ˜•

Basically, you need to get that bill out of there as soon as possible.

Hi everyone, does anyone happen to know what the shipping costs would look like for sending a package over to Boston? Has anyone here dealt with that recently? It’s a bagβ€”maybe even large enough to fit in a big envelope... thanks.

First off, hi everyone, and kudos for starting this thread...

...I’ve run into a bit of a situation. I was communicating via email with someone and agreed to buy an item (cash on delivery). I offered to cover the shipping costs myself. The item is worth $67, but the shipping alone is going to cost me $7.25?? He claims that’s what he paid for it. I actually found the listing on a site like Craigslist... It’s been a few days now, nothing has arrived, yet his ad is still upβ€”and he even raised the price? ????????

He has several other active listings on that site. I have his phone number, his name, and his surname (though I honestly can't tell if they're even real)???

...So, I started double-checking his email, his phone number, and his personal info, and I just can't be sure if this is even a real person...

What should I actually do here?

You aren't obligated to pick up that package if you don't want to. Shipping is high because it's COD, but I expect you'll have to pay an extra $3.25 upon arrival. Just plan on roughly $11

Or maybe I just shouldn't bother at all... πŸ™„
I've got a bad feeling about this... I really don't want to end up throwing my money away on an empty box...
...Has anyone else here dealt with scams where you order something and end up receiving absolutely nothing?
