Melissa Thompson9 said:Sweet. 😒 So... what would you guys even do if you were stuck in a spot like that? I mean, honestly. 😒

Look, you can take her word for it or whatever, I guess. It’s totally up to you.
I mean, honestly? It’s probably just easier to just wire the cash back to their account. Since there's zero proof you actually shipped the damn thing out, you're basically stuck. It sucks, but that's just how it goes, I guess.
You always gotta make sure you get some kind of confirmation when you send stuff. I mean, seriously, why take the risk? Always get that receipt, I guess.

I’m pretty much split fifty-fifty on these kinds of situations. Unless the buyer explicitly stated they wanted it sent via certified mail or as a tracked packageβ€”and you somehow missed that instructionβ€”then I’d personally issue a full refund.

If the customer explicitly requested standard shipping, that's on them; there's no need to issue a refund. However, if you both agreed to standard shipping beforehand, then just offer a fifty percent refund.

I mean, sure, you can do it that way if you both agree.
But honestly, the whole thing really hinges on how much the seller listed for shipping in the first placeβ€”that tells you everything you need to know.

She didn't actually say anything, yet I went ahead and sent my message anyway. The whole situation feels rather bizarre to me. It seems everyone else has been able to wrap their heads around this until now, but suddenly she’s found herself unable to do the same. Honestly, I feel a certain hesitation about engaging in these debates if she truly isn't following along, though at the same time, I can't help but feel a lingering sense of regret over the things I have personally lost.

Just give her half the money back and you're square. Whether she was lying or not is her problem now, isn't it?

darkmaker94 said:I have a quick question; back on March 30th, I sent out a C.O.D. package from Washington, D.C. to another part of Washington, D.C., and the guy is claiming he still hasn't received it. It feels incredibly strange to me... even when I’ve sent things as far away as Miami, they usually arrive within three days at most. Is it actually possible for it to take this long? Part of me thinks maybe the guy just doesn't want to pick it up. 😠
And if it does end up being returned to me, how long does that typically take? And would I be stuck paying extra fees for that?😒

this happened to me too, actually. I sent a C.O.D. package on April 6thβ€”that was 14 days ago, which should be plenty of time since it's an overnight serviceβ€”but it’s now April 9th and nothing. It was headed to a spot just 45 minutes away from my place, so it's been traveling for three days already. I'm really hoping it shows up by tomorrow, otherwise 😒

So, I have a bit of a situation here
Last week, I sent some hair ampoules to one woman; we’d agreed I’d just use a standard envelope, and she was totally fine with it since her mail always arrives regardless of how it's packaged.
On that same day, I sent the exact same thing to another girl using a bubble mailer headed to a place like Key West, but neither of them has received their packages yet... and I’m honestly starting to lose my mind over this because I know they probably think I never even sent them, even though neither of them has said anything to me yet, but I know exactly how frustrated I'd be if I were in their shoes.
The first woman actually purchased those ampoules, whereas I was just doing a trade with the second one, and her package arrived to me without any issues at all.
Could someone please tell me what I should do, because everything else seems to be arriving fine for everyone else, just not for them... 😒😒😒

Just hang tight for a bit. I sent something out from my office in Washington, D.C. recently and it took about six days to arrive.

Thanks, and honestly, I don't think it's actually been six days since it was shipped, but it’s not far off from that either, so I'll just wait a little longer

I’m trying to figure out how much extra I’ll be hit with at customs if I order a vinyl collection worth roughly $33?

Well, there goes that plan. The limit is set at 300 for anything older than a vintage collection.

I sent the other girl her package the same day I shipped that one with the bubbles to Mackinac Island, and yet neither one has arrived... I’m honestly at my wits' end wondering what to do about this. It finally showed up today...πŸ‘

Greetings, I was wondering if there is any flexibility regarding the package holding period beyond the five business days mentioned in the policy, or if items are strictly sent back once that window closes? My shipment arrived on April 10th.

darkmaker94 said:Yeah, I’ve got the confirmation right here. I just shot the buyer an email letting them know that if the package doesn't show up today, they should probably swing by their local USPS office to check. We'll see what they say...

My package actually got sent back to me yesterday, and I even had to shell out extra $5.00 for the trouble. πŸ™„
The label said Delivery Attempted - Not Picked Up. I emailed the guy, but of course, he’s totally ghosting me. πŸ‘Ž

That’s why I never send anything that way, nor would I ever want to buy anything like that.

darksailor4 said:Hey, quick questionβ€”does the package actually stay with you longer than those 5 business days they mention, or does it really get sent back right after that? I got mine on April 10th.

It honestly depends on what kind of package we're talking about. International ones usually give you a 15-day window, standard stuff is typically 5 days, and if you have a specific contract with the service provider, you might get 7 or even 10 days. If the notice came on Saturday, April 10th, then yeah, expect it to head back to the sender by the following Saturday, the 17th.

No problem at all. Look, if it's an international package, those usually sit there for about 15 days. Now, I know EMS shipments coming from overseas might move through a bit faster, but honestly, I can't give you a hard number on that since I don't work in that specific department. The best bet is to just wait for the official notice in the mail and check then. If your status is clearly marked as an "international package," it shouldn't be less than 15 days, but again, I'd say the safest move is to just double-check as soon as possible!

I even saw the mail carrier carrying two different notices.
And the guy actually had the nerve to send emails like: "Hey, where's my package? When is it arriving?" and stuff like that. πŸ‘Ž
I just don't get it. Why even order something if you aren't planning on actually picking it up?!

Btw, I'm not just talking about some random person on a forum here... πŸ™‚
