I think it's worth even more—it actually lets me run some decent games better
(Far Cry 3, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Call of Duty: Black Ops...)

Sure you can, but only at a really low resolution. That graphics card is just too weak for anything being released these days. If you want to actually play games at a decent resolution, you’d need something like an HD 7750 or 7770. Honestly, if you had one of those, you could probably flip it for more than a few hundred bucks—at least, that's my take on it. Maybe someone else here knows better?

Facebook is asking $100 (feel free to lower the price if nobody bites)

The value is based on the hardware specs, not on which games it happens to run.

Just asking out of pure curiosity—my laptop Dell XPS 13 is about 4 years old now. I've taken really good care of it, treated it like gold, honestly. The only real issue is the battery, which is pretty much dead at this point (so it's basically tethered to the charger 24/7).

Hey there! I was wondering if anyone could give me a fair idea of what a good price would be for an ASUS P7P55D paired with an i5 750 and the stock cooler, along with a Radeon HD 5850? Thanks so much!

If it's rocking 4 GB of RAM, maybe somewhere around $600.

Around $333 for the board and CPU combo, then maybe $500-$600 for the Radeon. Not bad. 😁

Thanks, that's exactly what I was thinking too, though it looks like you can find everything else for about 1200 if you really hunt for it! 😁

So, I finally upgraded to a new rig, which means it's time to see what this old machine is actually worth so I can get it off my hands.

CPU: AMD Athlon 64
MBO: ASRock ALiveNF6G-VSTA
RAM: 3GB DDR2
VGA: Radeon HD 5570
OS: Windows 7
I'm not sure about the case model, but honestly, it looks better than half the cheap stuff you see in stores today.

The power supply is an MSI, and it's been reliable enough so far, even if it isn't exactly a top-tier premium brand.

CPU - $150
Motherboard - $200
RAM and GPU - $300 each

Add $50 for the optical drive, case, and power supply. Also—where's the hard drive?

Don't even bother mentioning the OS unless you're actually selling licensed Windows copies.

Looking for an evaluation on this older setup..
Everything in this configuration functions perfectly; while the onboard Ethernet port is dead, I’ve already picked up a dedicated network card, so there isn't really a problem there..
I managed to get GTA IV and Assassin's Creed running on this machine—not exactly smooth, obviously, but playable enough.. Given that it can actually launch titles like that, I'm curious to know what kind of price I might realistically fetch for this build....

And maybe $167, if you’re lucky—though I wouldn't hold my breath, considering how many of those ancient configurations are cluttering up Craigslist right now.

Can someone give me an estimate?

I've got a Q6600, an ASUS P532-e, 2x1GB Patriot DDR2-800 PC6400, a 1TB WD drive, an ASUS GT440, and an LG burner that's acting a bit wonky... it just won't spin DVDs or CDs quite right. Not totally sure about the power supply, but I think it's a Thermaltake 650, sitting in a Thermaltake V3 tower. Also got an LG 19" 16:9 LCD monitor, though I can't remember if it's from back in 2008.

One of the PCI slots on the motherboard is dead because my old PSU fried both the graphics card and the slot itself... ouch.

$67 The bin—plus that $300 monitor (my bad, I totally missed that the screen was included in the listing)—is what we're looking at here.

ruggedranger52 said:Can someone give me an estimate on this?

So, I'm rocking a Q6600 paired with a Dell Inspiron motherboard—running in SLI, naturally—alongside some Patriot DDR2-800 RAM (2x1GB sticks), a 1TB Western Digital drive, and an NVIDIA GeForce. I’ve also got this Samsung burner, but honestly? It's being incredibly temperamental... it just refuses to spin through DVDs or CDs like it's supposed to. I'm not entirely certain about the power supply situation, though I'm pretty sure it's an EVGA 650W, housed inside a Corsair tower. As for the display, it's a Samsung 19" widescreen LCD—can't quite remember the exact year, maybe 2008—but yeah, that's the setup.

So, one of my PCI slots just died on me—completely unresponsive—and now I’m sitting here wondering if my old power supply actually nuked both my graphics card and the slot itself in one fell swoop. Anyone else dealt with this kind of hardware carnage?

Processor — 500 bucks.
Grafa - 300
RAM — $250.
The drive—around 400 bucks.
So, about that PSU—we're looking at 450W.
Motherboard—looking at the $200-$250 range.
The case—well, let's just say it’s sitting at about 250 bucks—and honestly? It’s fine. It does what it says on the tin. Nothing groundbreaking, nothing to write home about, just a standard chassis that gets the job done without causing a massive headache. It's solid enough for a build, I guess.
Looking for a new monitor—budget is sitting right around the $300 to $350 mark. Any recommendations?
