Timothy Kim60 said:First you mention the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670, then later you say it's a 6850 😕 — so which one is it actually? 🤷 (Or do you somehow own both?)

Ah, I see what happened... just typed 6870 by mistake while rushing. 😬 My bad.

Timothy Kim60 said:Do you have the case and motherboard info too?
And which exact card is it—is it a 6850, 6870, or 6890?

My GPU shows up as an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 600 Series with about 2803 MB of total memory.

The motherboard is an ASUS ROG Maximus series.

Everything is housed in a Corsair Vengeance series case.

Thanks!

Is anyone else still rocking an Intel Core i5 3570 with ASUS? I’m curious to see if anyone out there is still getting some decent mileage out of this setup!
Is anyone else still rocking an ASRock Z77 Extreme4? I honestly can't believe how much life is left in this board! It’s such a classic, isn't it?
Is anyone else rocking a pair of Corsair Vengeance 8GB kits? I’ve been running 2x4GB lately and wondering if it's time to step things up!
So, I've been looking at this MSI 660 Ti OC with 2GB of VRAM. What do you guys think? Is it still worth picking up?
Anyone else looking at the Vertex4 128GB SSD? Is it actually worth picking up?
So, I’ve been looking into the XFX Pro 550W power supply lately. What do you guys think about this unit? Is it actually up to the task, or should I be looking elsewhere?
Anyone else ever mess around with an old Seagate Green 1TB HDD? I was digging through some old tech lately and came across one of these. Does anyone still find these useful for light storage, or are they basically relics at this point?
Does anyone know if Cooler Master makes a case with a hot-swap bay for hard drives? I can't remember the exact specs, but I'm looking for that kind of setup!

I was wondering about this because I’ve got a lot on my plate right now, and I really don't want to end up making any bad calls!

Can anyone give me a realistic estimate on what this might be worth, and how much value we're looking at losing by day two?

Thanks!

Would you be looking to sell everything as a bundle, or would you consider splitting it up and selling parts individually?

You can demand whatever price you want, but there's no guarantee anyone will actually pay it. When sellers try to get greedy and overprice their stuff, they usually just end up sitting on it. Sure, someone might get lucky once in a blue moon, but that's a one-in-a-thousand shot at best.

CM Cavalier - 200
Motherboard - 120
CPU - 50
RAM - 70
GPU - 100
Toaster - 50
PSU - 130
Seagate - $33
WD - $100

The other rig is brand new—just knock about 15-20% off whatever you actually shelled out for it.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 CPU
Stock Intel CPU cooler
ASUS P5W DH Deluxe motherboard, a total beast of a Socket 775 bundle
Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT graphics card, comes with VGA, DVI, and HDMI, rocking 1GB of VRAM
Realtek High Definition Audio,
Standard Ethernet port for your internet fix
Built-in Wi-Fi
Eight USB 2.0 ports
iPod support plus a remote control, because why not?
2 GB DDR2 RAM dual channel kit (you can beef this up to 32GB if you're feeling fancy)

Hey pros, let me know what you think about this setup. Would it actually hold its own in games, or am I just dreaming?

If you're talking about Battlefield 3, Grand Theft Auto IV, or anything like that, this rig would probably struggle just to get them running. It’ll be fine for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, PES, FM, or rFactor, though. For less than $1000, you could probably put together a setup that runs games about 4 or 5 times faster.

How old is this bucket anyway? Because it’s only going to run games that are about 6 or 7 years old at best.
