Only a mod can delete this...

Anyway, I just put together a brand new build at the shop that’s actually a bit better than yours, and it comes out to $1677. So, I guess a fair price for your setup would be a little north of $1333... 😉

So you're saying I should drop the price? And quite a bit if I'm reading this right

Well, you could probably start by checking $1500 on Craigslist 😬 though, since I guess about 90% of people there just jack up their prices for no reason. If you can't get them down, go for it, but personally, I wouldn't pay less than $1333 🙂

Thanks for the advice 🙂))

On top of that, if I were you, I’d suggest selling the PC part by part—it’ll honestly be much easier to move. Most people on Craigslist, or just generally online, prefer picking out the specific components they actually need rather than lugging a whole pre-built system home... Sure, it might take a bit longer to get everything sold off one by one, but since you aren't really using it anymore, why not give it a shot?

It’s way easier to move individual pieces on Craigslist or wherever you're posting; people generally want specific components rather than some random, pre-built rig. Sure, it might take longer to cycle through everything... but if you aren't using the thing anymore and have nothing but time, it's worth a shot.

Alright, then—if it isn't too much trouble—could you maybe give me a ballpark figure for what each of those parts would actually go for?🙂

Not sure if there's a dedicated thread for parts, so my bad if I'm double posting...
Does anyone know what the street value is for a stock cooler that came with an AMD A8 x4 5600k? ($188)

Hey everyone,

Since I recently moved over to France, I’ve been scratching my head trying to figure out the safest way to transport my PC without it ending up in pieces. I was actually thinking that it might be much easier to just sell everything here and pick up some fresh gear locally, especially since prices seem quite reasonable lately!

I’d definitely want to hang onto certain things—mostly my peripherals and my SSDs—but pretty much everything else could go.

If you don't mind, I would love to get a quick baseline estimate on what this setup is worth:

Cooler Master CM 692 Standard Case

650W Corsair TX V2 series PSU

GIGABYTE GA-Z68XP-UD3P, iZ68 motherboard

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz processor

Scythe Katana III cooler

8 GB G.SKILL Ripjaws X series PC-12800 memory

XFX AMD Radeon HD 6870 graphics card, 1GB DDR5,

23'' LG E2351VR-BN LED monitor, 5ms, 250cd/m2, 5,000,000:1, D-SUB, DVI, HDMI
23'' DELL U2312HM LED monitor, 8ms, 300cd/m2, 2,000,000:1, IPS, D-SUB, DVI, DP, USB Hub, pivot

Logitech Z506 5.1 speakers,

LG GH22NS DVD burner, DVD±RW, 22x DVD±R, 8x DL, 40x CD-R

Does anyone have any bright ideas on the best way to sell all this off?

You’ve got some pretty recent and highly sought-after components here. My advice is to set your prices based on the lowest listing you find on http://www.amazon.com/ minus 20%. If things aren't moving, just drop the price by 5% every week or two until someone bites.
As for the best way to clear everything out, you probably have a friend in the States who knows their way around hardware; have them list the parts individually on eBay for you.🙂

I get it. I just can't figure out an efficient way to move all this stuff over to France without it turning into a massive pile of loose pieces.

Sell the monitors. You can always buy new ones there.
Just pack the PC in some heavy-duty styrofoam and a solid box, then ship it that way.

As for the PC itself, I’d suggest packing everything securely in plenty of bubble wrap and finding a sturdy box before shipping it out.

I spent some time digging into this, and honestly, I haven't found anyone really recommending the big courier services.
From what I've gathered, they don't always handle packages with the level of care you'd hope for, and trying to navigate the insurance claims if something actually breaks is just a massive headache.

Matthew Young35 said:Like DHL?

Exactly what I mentioned above—plus, their rates get pretty steep once you start dealing with larger, heavier boxes.

It’s true—you’re far more likely to end up with a shattered monitor than a damaged case. Honestly, even without any extra padding, the chassis would probably survive a moderate bump without a scratch. As for whether the shipping costs actually make sense given the prices, I haven't a clue.

Hey,

I've got a few working parts I'm looking to sell,
so I wanted to see (what you guys think) about what a fair asking price would be for the whole lot:

- Motherboard GA-Z68AP-D3
- Processor Intel Core i7-2600
- Cooler Cooler Master Hyper 212
- Case SilverStone LaScala LC20B, (just a heads up, this LC20B series doesn't have built-in multimedia)

Everything is fully functional and running fine. 🙂

All these parts are roughly 2 - 3 years old.
(Note: I am NOT selling the power supply, RAM, or graphics card NOT SELLING)

I'm moving these on because I just upgraded to a completely new setup (new CPU, motherboard, liquid cooling, etc.)

Honestly, I’d be lucky to get two beers for that... It’s been used for maybe two or three years now, and I’m guessing the warranty has already run out too. Don't go expecting much more than that.

hmmm ...
At this point, I don't even see the point in selling. When I think about how much cash I actually dropped on this thing...
It’s probably better to just hang onto it as a backup. You never know when you might need it.
Anyway, thanks for giving me a ballpark figure.
