Since I couldn't figure out where else to drop this question, so here it is:

Phenom II X2 3.1 (unlocked to 3 cores—could go to 4, but the fourth one is dead),
4 GB 1600 G.Skill RAM (2x2 sticks),
ASRock M3A770DE motherboard,
600w Raptoxx power supply,
320 GB HDD,
HD 5770 1GB RAM graphics card,

What’s a fair price for this rig (minus the case) without being totally unrealistic? Honestly, I'm not looking to make a profit here; I just want to scrape together enough to cover some costs for my new build.

I've got two ways to play this:
1. Reuse the RAM, HDD, and power supply, then just buy a new motherboard, CPU, and GPU.
2. Sell everything in a bundle and start fresh with new RAM, HDD, and a power supply.

The new parts I'm eyeing are: ASUS M5A97 R2, MSI R9 270X GAMING 4GB, and an AMD FX-Series X6 6300 3.5GHz, 14MB, 95W.

Hey everyone,

Looking for some pricing advice on this tower and monitor combo. As the title suggests, there's no hard drive or RAM included. The setup is about 2.5 years old.
I'll sell everything together, or I can split it up if someone is interested in specific parts. 🙂

Case: LC POWER 604B, MIDI, black
Power Supply: 430W, CORSAIR CX Series V2
Processor

Motherboard

The onboard audio isn't working; I haven't bothered troubleshooting it since I just installed a new sound card.

Graphics Card

DVD±RW SONY OPTIARC AD-7280S-0B, 24x, black, SATA, dual
I haven't used the drive lately, so I can't confirm if it actually works. 🙂
Monitor
Asus VH197 18.5"

Thanks in advance. Cheers.

Selling as a bundle or separately if anyone is interested. 🙂

Thanks much,

Is $400 a fair price?

So, you're saying the power supply and the processor still have about six months of warranty left?

Maybe you could start at $1400$500 if we're including the monitor in the deal.

You could set the starting price at $1400--$500 including the monitor.

Thanks. And yes, the processor, motherboard, power supply, and monitor are all under warranty until December 2014.

I was wondering if you guys could take a quick look at my prices and let me know if I'm in the ballpark. 🙂

Thanks!

Even at a low price, that's still a steal for an E7200 plus the motherboard and cooler.

You could probably go with $83.

EDIT: $50 processors from what I can tell, maybe put in at least $67. If you don't need the cash right this second, you might have to start a bit higher.

I saw the exact same model bundled with a fridge on Craigslist for $33. There are maybe two or three offers like that floating around. Since my motherboard is pretty pathetic, I just listed mine for 150.

Hey there,
I was wondering if you guys could give me your take on this build:

CPU: AMD FX8320 mb
MB: ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z
CPU Cooler: CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO
GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 290 RAM
RAM: 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 1600
PSU: GameXStream 700 w Case
Case: Thermaltake Xaser VI Full Tower

Just a heads up, the cooler, power supply, and case don't have any warranty left, but everything else is still covered.
Thanks!

In my experience, you aren't going to hit those high numbers if you try to sell the computer as a single bundle—mostly because the scavengers out there are usually just hunting for one or two specific parts they're missing rather than an entire setup. 🙂 So, if you want a quicker, easier sale, I’d suggest listing the components separately... then, if you have anything left over that nobody seems interested in, you can always just drop the price a bit later.

Is this overkill?

Processor: Intel i5-2500K 1000 $333
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-Z68AP-D3 $83
Memory: 8GB (4+4) DDR3 GSKILL RipJaws $150
Hard drive: WD 500GB $83
Case: THERMALTAKE Overseer RX-I $217

$867

To be clear, I'm not selling—just looking to buy. I already have the rest of the components...

The processor feels a bit pricey (you might want to check $300) since I picked mine up brand new back in January for $367. Personally, I’d suggest just grabbing a new Corsair Carbide 300R for about 600 and change.

I recall seeing that CPU on sale downtown, and I’ve actually had my eye on that RX1—it looks like a solid new release. Since there's a Micro Center nearby, I can just head over and check out the components in person if I need to.

Alright then, those are all solid components. I see a newer version of that kind of case over at Best Buy ~$300, you might want to grab one of those.

It would be kind of like that scenario with the i7-2600K plus whatever motherboard model I can't quite remember right now—it’d probably end up being about the same. $400 Or however much? 😁
I have no idea what happened with that package. I'm wondering if it just got sent back to the seller.

Honestly, this used build with the Intel Core i5 is a pretty solid deal. I just didn't realize the price had dropped that much.
I picked mine up back in 2012. $633.

Can I get an estimate?

EVGA GTX 650 graphics card (7 months of warranty left).
Seagate Barracuda 320 GB hard drive (passed a few tests, still running great).
ASUS B75 motherboard.
Corsair 2x2GB 1.8V 800MHz DDR2 RAM.
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU + stock cooler.
EVGA 450W (bought it a year ago; I've got the receipt and warranty, just can't find the original box anywhere).
Creative Sound Blaster 5.1 sound card (only 2 months old).
Case + CD drive.
Dell Monitor.

I'm thinking somewhere around $1600 +/- $100. What do you guys think?
