Yeah, maybe I'll settle for two large if things get desperate.

How old is it? Is there any warranty left? Also, how’s the battery holding up—and the overall condition of the machine? Ideally, looking for something around $833.

Most of these parts look practically brand new, so just shave about 20-25% off the retail price and try your luck. The drives are probably worth a little more than $67 total, but you didn't say anything useful about the power supply, let alone the case.

The operating system itself is basically irrelevant—unless, of course, you're actually out there trying to hawk licenses. 🙂

I figured I’d just drop a note here instead of cluttering things up with a whole new thread. So, quick question: what kind of cash could I realistically pull for this rig?

PC APACHE II 3-CORE

MasterCase Case:
[GPU] ATI Radeon HD 5750, 1GB, GDDR5 ( http://www.sapphiretech.com/presenta...&pid=289&leg=0 )
[CPU] AMD Athlon ii X3 440 Processor 3,0 GHz AM3 ( http://www.techwarelabs.com/amd-athlon-ii-440/ )
[RAM] 4.0 GB RAM
[PSU] MIDI Tower ATX 400W
[HDD] 500GB SATA HDD 16MB
DVD+/-R-RW SATA 22X
[Motherboard] AS Rock M3N78D

Monitor: BENQ FP93GWa / FP93GW Wide-Screen LCD Monitor ( http://monitors.tech-specs.com/benq-93gwa-n35006570 )

Tough break on that estimate...
It’s definitely an old rig, but honestly? It still holds its own...

Getting 2x2GB = $83 is about what you should expect to make (I snagged mine for $200, but I definitely got lucky finding it)
If you're offloading the full 8GB kit, aim for around $450... don't settle for less than that🙂

CPU: maybe $250-$300
Motherboard: $150-$200

I’ve got $1,000 on the table, so tell me if that's enough...

One more thing before I go:

Here’s my current build, minus the extra stuff like the hard drive and peripherals:

PSU: CORSAIR 600W GS
GPU: Nvidia GTX 570

What CPU and motherboard combo should I grab?

I was thinking about picking up an AMD "Piledriver" processor. Word is they're solid, and if you overclock them, they can actually hold their own against an i7 in gaming.

If they're offering you $333 for that? Sell it immediately. Don't even blink... you'll make a killing...

As for everything else, I've gone a bit MIA, so someone else will have to step up and help you out🙂
