Look, until someone with more technical expertise weighs in—if that power supply is just some generic, unbranded unit that came bundled with the case or the box, then--$467

I suppose you could tell me roughly what this might be worth—everything is somewhat aged, maybe about 1.5 years old.

Unless you are desperate for the cash, in my opinion, it isn't worth selling as-is. Just slap a better graphics card in there and you've got an absolute beast (assuming gaming performance is your concern)—depending on your budget, look at a 7850, GTX 660, 7870, or a GTX 660Ti...

I'm not actually looking for a new PC, I was just thinking about switching over to a notebook instead. Right now, I'm running Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Assassin's Creed 3 at 1920x1080 on max settings without any issues at all. Also, could the admins please move this over to the proper PDF section? Just as a heads-up—you're going to have to shell out a significant amount of cash for a notebook to match the gaming performance of that PC (assuming that's a priority for you). That said, there are certainly some perks to going mobile...

I'm aware of that, which is exactly why I'm trying to figure out what this PC is worth right now. Once I have a baseline, I can see how much extra cash I'll need to set aside to pick up a solid notebook.

So, I’m looking at maybe getting around $700 or $800 max, but if I want a decent laptop, I’d probably need to shell out another $700 or $800 on top of that... hmm... honestly, I'm torn on whether I should try to squeeze more life out of this thing or just let it go 😁... because at this point, it feels way more practical to just keep this old clunker as is and put that money toward a proper laptop for everyday tasks... you can always refurbish an old desktop much easier than you can fix up a laptop anyway

It seems like everyone is coming for my current graphics card... which, mind you, back in March 2010, I actually paid more for it than any of the ones mentioned above! But looking at things now, that GTX 660Ti seems like the smartest move... by the way, does anyone know what I could actually get for my current card?

If it’s still hitting max settings without breaking a sweat, you have zero reason to upgrade.

Look, I never said it was bad; there's no need to swap it out if it's still pulling the weight. That was just my educated guess—once more demanding titles hit the scene, this will likely be the first thing needing an upgrade, since everything else is still plenty capable enough.
