Honestly, if you had actually bothered to read the previous page, this would be perfectly clear to you...
Yes, I am referring to a 1:2 ratio of Whey to Glucose.

You people have made this unnecessarily complicated.
Does it actually matter, or am I overthinking it?
I just take one scoop of isolate protein with water and a spoonful of Nesquik—which, frankly, tastes terrible. That guy who posted earlier said you shouldn't be adding any juices or fruit to it at all.🤷

dustyotter11 said:Taylor King7—well, it has a decent cappuccino flavor; I personally find it great. I usually stick with Weider.
I have a question:
I spent years dancing, and we used to have intense training sessions three to four times a week involving toning, strength work, and so on.
I never used a shake combined with glucose, yet I always had well-defined muscles.
I am wondering if taking this after a workout is actually necessary, or if that mostly applies to people doing heavy lifting in a gym? (I don't mean to discriminate🙂 )
I am starting back up again with training three times a week (something like aerobics plus toning exercises), and I am still in the process of losing weight—I have a few more pounds to drop. So, I want to know: is it essential for me to drink whey plus glucose after my workouts?
I haven't consumed it like this before, and I am unsure how it will affect me if I suddenly introduce it into my diet (I'm worried about gaining weight from the glucose in the afternoon...)
So, please don't attack me🙂 I am genuinely curious if it can be skipped, as I am not an expert. Is it possible to drink whey without adding glucose? (I usually just sip it occasionally)
Thanks!
Taylor King7 said:Well, I don't really know what I'm talking about either,
since I am not very knowledgeable about all of this; I am just repeating what I was told when I went shopping.
The thing is, there were so many different flavors (kiwi, strawberry, banana), and I asked if there was anything without those additives because I was afraid one flavor would get boring and I'd rather just blend my own fruit into it. The clerk told me I shouldn't, claiming it would turn acidic and wouldn't be good.
That's what I meant, though whether it makes sense, I honestly don't know.🙄
See, I even used to add Nesquik to it; I look like a complete moron.
Now I will ask another question, so feel free to laugh at me as much as you like:
Can I use the decaf version just for the taste?
Thanks for being patient.

So, first, I just pour the protein powder into a glass, and then I add just a tiny splash of milk. I stir it really well until all the milk is absorbed... then I add another little bit of milk and stir again. I just keep doing that over and over until it turns into this smooth, thick paste, kind of like dough. Once I have that paste, I start adding more milk bit by bit, stirring as I go, until it turns into a thick liquid. By then, you can add the rest of the milk without any chance of those gross little lumps forming!

So you mean there's no point in drinking whey without glucose at all, or just specifically after a workout?
I guess I sometimes just grab it when I'm running low on time or don't have anything else for a snack...
And what if my workout isn't even intense enough and I end up just getting fat off the glucose anyway?😁
But I gotta drink it, damn it.🙂

"I think you're mistaken. Does it really make sense to take whey without any Glucose, or strictly only after a workout?"
I sometimes find myself drinking it when I'm running behind schedule or simply don't have anything else on hand for a snack.
What happens if my training isn't intense enough and I end up gaining fat from glucose instead?😁
I suppose I have no choice but to ask, damn it.🙂
Post-workout.
If you're hitting your protein targets during your main meals, there's really no need for a snack.
Regarding your training, listen—you’re the only one who can decide if the intensity is actually sufficient. How exactly does your workout routine look?
