Alright.
Look, I don't have a problem with ads or banners in general.
Let 'em ride.
But there’s this one specific thing that’s been driving me absolutely insane for a year now.
It’s about bunions and how to deal with them.
For anyone who doesn't know what that is (I didn't either until last year), they're basically just messed-up, deformed feet.
On four out of five websites I visit, I'm getting hit with some random person's gross feet, and honestly, it’s starting to get under my skin.
I go to a forum like Reddit... nothing but crooked feet. I check Bloomberg... more shriveled-up toes. I head over to a science site... freaking deformed toes everywhere!!!
What the hell is going on?!?
I’ve already asked for advice before and people just gave me some "well, you get what you search for" crap, implying I must have been browsing through all that garbage myself.
Aside from the fact that I haven't, if that logic actually held water, my monitor should be covered in gold prices and neutron star data most of the time. But it almost never is.

To cut to the chase... what’s the easiest way to just scrub this nasty junk from my life?😠😠😠

Thanks in advance.

It’s either total nonsense or some kind of quasi-humanitarian—yet somehow shocking—weight loss miracle. Personally, I’m already fed up with it all.

Yeah... now that you mention it, I see those "shocking" weight loss miracles popping up constantly, right alongside those magic hair growth serums that supposedly grow exactly 1,784 hairs per day. For real. What, did they sit there with a magnifying glass and count them or something?!?

Anyway, it looks like this isn't about how much people click, but rather who is actually seeing the ads.
I'm in my late forties, so apparently, I've reached the age where I'm supposed to go bald, get a gut, and lose my mind—so naturally, they start targeting me with all this garbage.

I think I might actually reach for that ad-blocker mentioned above because those feet in the ads look even more revolting than Bilbov's, and I've got a pretty weak stomach.
The problem is, if I turn it on, it'll automatically block those steakhouse ads and everything else I actually *want* to click on once in a while. 😢

Maybe run a quick scan with Adwcleaner too—just to make sure those annoying pop-ups haven't started nesting themselves on your PC. It honestly takes maybe 10 seconds to run, then you just hit clean, and it makes a world of difference...

You probably should have, but clearly nobody was around to give you any decent advice when you needed it.😁

Since we’re talking about ads, using an AdBlocker is pretty much mandatory these days, though even that isn't quite enough anymore. When it comes to modern advertising, the real headache is Malwaretising; check out the link below and you won't have to deal with it.🍿

The bluhell firewall is actually way more optimized for adblocking than ABP is, if you ask me 👍

I’ve found that uBlock Origin actually performs quite a bit better than AdBlock—plus, it’s definitely a little easier on my system resources! 🙂

It’s fine for the most part, though it does tend to eat up a bit of resources.😁 It still lets certain ads slip through on various sites that really shouldn't be getting through. But there’s a more significant issue worth highlighting: the complete lack of any meaningful customization options. You basically just get an icon and nothing else, so when you weigh the pros against the cons, I wouldn't exactly recommend it.

uBlock Origin It really is the superior choice, mostly because it’s significantly lighter on your CPU and RAM compared to what you get with AdBlock.

uBlock Origin gives you a massive pile of extra filter settings, and honestly, you really ought to just check every single one of those boxes. Malware Domains.

Quick little update...

I was hanging out in some small town in the Midwest with my kids yesterday, and man, I just couldn't help myself—I ended up staring at the feet of some old ladies, and honestly, it was brutal. They were so wrinkled and bunion-ridden.
Just plain gross.
If they actually knew how to use a computer, I’d drop a link to this forum right in front of them so Michael Morgan5 could recommend some miracle bunion cream. At that point, they might as well just eat it with a spoon instead of spreading it on toast.

It’s been almost a month since I’ve had anyone’s feet on my screen. 🎉
