This dude is insane. Seriously, mad respect. It’s obvious he does some kind of high-end modeling or something similar.

Does anyone know who makes this case? It was shown at CES this year—I totally blanked on the name—and I'd love to hear what you guys think about it:

It looks flawless...
It’s just a shame that the availability of components and everything else for PC Modding here in the States is absolutely abysmal, if you can even call it that.

It’s just a damn shame that finding parts for PC Modding over here is a total nightmare—honestly, it's pathetic.

And whatever little bit of stock actually exists is either overpriced garbage or just plain broken.

How are you all blocking dust? I've got two 120mm fans on the side panel. I tried using a simple plastic mesh once, but too much dust was getting through. So, I used zip ties 😁 but that isn't working out. Every time I vacuum 🙄 they shift around... I'm just waiting for them to fall off completely.

What else can I use? I need some kind of thin mesh, a screen, or a filter, but what... and where? Any advice would be appreciated 🤣

So, I’ve started working on this Borg cube-inspired PC modding project—it looks pretty promising so far. The dimensions are hovering around 40x40x40... I might post some photos later if I actually find the motivation...
But what I really need from you all right now is some technical guidance regarding fan placement. My primary goal is to achieve the absolute best airflow possible within this specific layout.

This is roughly how I’ve envisioned the setup, so please, I’m open to any suggestions or critiques you might have.

No matter what you put over those vents, dust is going to find its way in eventually 😉.

@steelsailor3/">@@steelsailor3, isn't that a bit "bold"? I mean, how much air is actually going to be able to flow through there 😬
?
Look, just go ahead and install whatever steelsailor3 posted. I honestly can't say if it’ll cool things down as well as before, but at least you won't have dust swirling inside the chassis; just make sure you clean that filter every 2 or 3 weeks.

By the way, while dust is one thing, I once had a stray hair (or maybe a whole bunch of them 🙂) drift into my case—which was open since the side panel was off—and it got tangled right in the GPU fan. It was pure luck that the damn thing was spinning hard enough that I caught it in time to shut the PC down...

edit:
And where exactly would the components even fit 🤷
?

I mean, any kind of filter is going to choke the airflow in the case just a little bit, isn't it? I haven't personally messed around with that specific one, so I can't tell you exactly how much it'll drag down the airflow, but I highly doubt it’s going to completely kill the circulation.

@Zachary Wilson30/">@@Zachary Wilson30 I'm assuming the motherboard is mounted at the bottom, with the drives and maybe a DVD drive sitting up front—just let me know where the power supply is supposed to go.🤷

Maybe give it a shot and try building something similar to what you'd see on Uber

I’ve got an idea brewing—building a custom case out of wood, but I’m not talking about some cheap planks. I actually have a solid log sitting right here 🙂
. If things get too quiet over the summer and I find myself with enough motivation, I might just dive into this project.

Also, does anyone know if you can buy a DVD burner that doesn't have that annoying tray that pops out? I'm looking for something slot-loading, like what you'd find in a high-end car audio system. Anyone got a link?

You're probably thinking of those slot-loading DVD-RW drives, though you mostly see them tucked away in laptops these days.

Cooler Master Cosmos case was being showcased back in March at a big tech expo in Vegas, and if I’m not mistaken, they're already available for purchase here in the States. They had two of them hooked up side-by-side running horizontally. Honestly, I'm not a fan—there's zero noise dampening for the GPU or any of the other components.

It’s not even worth mentioning the lack of noise dampening, because honestly, this thing was basically engineered just to act as a dust magnet since it's completely open to the elements. But what really gets under my skin is how they handled the storage; you get two 3.5" drive bays, yet everything else just hangs out there in mid-air, kind of like this 🤣

It turned out great. Not like when some people just slap on too much paint and end up with this muddy, tacky mess that looks like it’s still wet. 👍

Honestly, just slap some Pegasus on the side, throw in two blue neon strips, and you're golden, man.

I really hope you don't keep your rig in your bedroom, 😬. I once tried using some sleep aid spray because I couldn't catch a wink of sleep for two or three nights straight... but even then, my computer was still sitting right there in the room with me 😁

Haha, so you’re calling that a mod, huh? I mean, adding some fans and a few neon lights doesn't really count as a full-blown modification to me.

Take a close look at that spider in the last photo 😂 you could practically catch a dragon with that thing...

Oh, and one more thing—why on earth is everyone obsessed with buying blue neon lights?!?
