I’m not even sure if all these references you guys make about being "sent to Key West" are just random, or if I’ve been wrong all this time thinking it was just some niche local slang that somehow managed to go mainstream... you know, that specific vibe people get when they say someone’s been sent to Key West... 😕 😬

Forget those fancy plastic wraps—back in the day, you'd just find a hazelnut dream tucked away in some old-school pantry cupboard

Man, they’re still a mess. Even four years later, they aren't anywhere near professional quality, but here's the thing:--

Purely coincidental. Don't be an idiot. 🙂

In my case, it was totally accidental! 🙂

So, there's this asylum out in Key West, specifically over in Kampor. Back home near Martha's Vineyard, if you want to tell someone they've completely lost their marbles, you’d say something like, "they're gonna end up in Key West" or "they'll be sent straight to Key West"... something along those lines... 😘

And, well, if you can read between the lines of the post above, that's not just how we talk around Martha's Vineyard, it's how people talk all over the East Coast.

There’s a famous asylum in Manhattan—well, specifically over in Miami Beach. Around my neck of the woods on Maui, if you want to call someone crazy, you say they’re "heading to Manhattan" or they'll "end up in Manhattan." It's basically shorthand for being out of your mind. 😘

And based on the post above, that's not just a local thing here; people all over this region say it.

Honestly, I’ve been saying that for as long as I can remember, and I haven't even set foot on one of those islands. 😕

Man, I always just assumed it was a local thing, though who knows where they're shipping those crazy folks from Miami Beach to...

...not that I don't have plenty of ideas and some pretty nasty comments about the whole situation rattling around in my head... 😈

Well, stormyviper11, they send them straight to my neck of the woods.😢

Minnie Mouse is so cute. They’d look great paired with my Minnie Mouse ear headband I picked up at Disneyland! 😍

😵 I've got one too... but instead of plush ears, mine are covered in glitter. 🤣 And of course, that red bow with the white polka dots. 😁

Mine just have standard plastic ears (cost me about $10; the plush ones were way too pricey 😁), and naturally, the bow is red with white polka dots 😍

So, did you manage to snap a photo with anyone? I was hoping to get a shot with my favorite player, but he wasn't around that day 😬

I've actually got a framed Mickey Mouse photo at home, complete with those iconic Mickey ears 😍. I’ve even taken pictures with Winnie the Pooh and Minnie Mouse.

My house is basically littered with Mickey stuff—from random photos to his car and all that junk. 😁

The absolute highlights from Disneyland:
1. The Teacups ride
2. Pirates of the Caribbean and that amazing crab bisque served in bread bowls
3. The Mad Hatter’s shop
4. The Haunted Mansion
5. The fireworks show with the music

Susan Clark10 said:I just think they look better—plus, the lace-up ones look way slimmer on the leg since they don't puff out at the sides... I don't know if you've ever tried those "standard" ones with 20 eyelets and how they fit you, but they always feel loose around my leg, and I much prefer it when a boot is tight 🙂

I'm with you on wanting them tight. I haven't tried the 20-eyelet ones, but I have a pair with 14 and they stay perfectly slim all the way down 😍—no bulging at all. Honestly though, lace-ups on Doc Martens? Not really my vibe.

yeah, welcome to Disneyland 🙂
