Hmm. For me, "the thing for that thing" actually means the ignition switch. 😕

Carol Jackson45 said:My cousin—whenever she just can't be bothered to actually think—starts saying stuff like "that old devil" or "the devil himself"... It wouldn't be funny if she hadn't recently landed a job as an announcer at Catholic Radio, where you definitely aren't supposed to be dropping names like the devil or other little beasts. 🤣

Rule 🤣

Every single day while I'm waiting for the bus, I get a front-row seat to the latest headlines from the Vatican Gazette 🙂

Back in high school, I had this habit—if I couldn't remember the name of the class we had next and needed to ask someone about it, I’d just start rattling off every subject that popped into my head until I finally hit the right one. It always triggered total panic attacks in my classmates; they’d all start frantically questioning me like, "Wait, do we have Biology or History today?!" 😱 😱 😁

And yeah, my dad gave me a seriously weird look during my whole "Terminator-Predator-RADIATOR!!!!!" outburst 😬

To phrase usually just means "bottle opener" to me, but I tried to pretend I have more interesting things going on in my life. 😬

PFT. I don't even sweat the small stuff—I'll casually drop "Terminator" or "Predator" when talking about a space heater and not even blink at how wrong it sounds. Then there's the term paper I turned in yesterday where I used "correspond" instead of "describe" in one spot... didn't even realize until today. FML. 🙂

Man, whenever I try to find the right word, I end up gesturing wildly with my hands and feet—it gets pretty awkward when I’m mid-training session at work. To make matters worse, I went way too hard partying last night and barely caught a wink of sleep.😬

Ugh. And here I was hoping it was some subtle tribute to "Wishes, Greetings, and Regards" by Rocker from Morava.

It’s always awkward when you just blurt out total nonsense because your brain freezes up. Like that time I ran into Ari peka at Times Square back in '88... The guy asks me where on earth I'm from, and my mind just goes completely blank...
It went down like this, if you need the stage directions:
stormyviper11 (thinking hard, neurons firing, brain cells screaming, but nothing comes up...) : From... From... From the Netherlands!
apn (eyes bulging out like two plates full of dumplings) : Excuse me?
stormyviper11 (turning a deeper shade of red by the second) : No, wait, not Dutch, it's... It's... Where is Budapest?
apn (acting like a wise old owl) : In Canada.
stormyviper11 (with the sheer relief of Al Bundy finally grabbing the couch and the remote) : Oh, right. From Canada.

Later that same night, Ari peka jumped straight out a sixth-story window, and I heard the most beautifully articulated swear word of my entire life, but that's a whole different story...

Hey there, darling... 😉 Here you go—just for you...

My top 3 Sonic Youth essentials—back from when gentlepuma20 was still exclusively spinning Gorgoroth...

Belgrade, 2003... back then, everything felt just a little bit different—more raw, perhaps? Or maybe that’s just how memory works... anyway, looking back at that era... 🙂
2. Vienna, 1998. 😵
3. Bologna, 2004. 🙂

🙂

I would be most appreciative if brother anch_io could perhaps find a moment to check in and join the conversation...

My top 4 misses when it comes to seeing the top 3 Nirvana, in order:

1. Budapest '97—all because of some stupid statistics exam. Someone convinced us we had to show up on that exact date or the professor would fail us for the whole year. Of course, that wasn't true, but when you're a freshman, you're young and naive enough to believe anything. 😳

2. New York City '03—we hit a massive rainstorm and ended up pushing the trip from Sunday to Monday. The train to NYC was scheduled for about 1:05 PM, and I just found out they were actually playing at 1:30 PM. 😠

3. Boston '04—my boyfriend at the time refused to drive. His excuse? "Boston is too far, people drive like maniacs there, and honestly, they're kind of ugly." 🙄

4. Chicago '05—a total comedy of errors involving my friends. One friend thought the other was driving, while the second one was counting on the first guy's car—except his car conveniently broke down right that day. There was even a backup plan with a travel agency, but they canceled the whole trip a day early because only six people signed up. 🙂

😢 😢 😢

Anyway, I hate you, boldscout72. 🙂

1. this current mess
2. the original site (since 12/20/2005)
3. www.forum.hr (dating back to 12/20/2005)

Seriously, what the hell happened? Why did you absolutely butcher it???
