Sure, her boss can send her sweet messages if he wants, but telling a married woman he’s never felt this way—and then having her actually save the text? That's just wrong (poor 😵).
I mean, she probably should've given him a piece of her mind—might have saved everyone the headache in the tabloids later. 😬

And yeah, those donuts use yeast.

And what’s your take on Lana Pavic?😍

I guess it all just comes down to whatever recipe you're following, doesn't it?🙂

Anyway, best of luck to Lana.😍

If we're going by that logic, I should have been behind bars years ago considering how much I vent about married men online 😬

I actually have this one Italian cookbook sitting on my shelf where they don't use it either.
I'm pretty sure my grandmother always used baking powder, and my aunt doesn't even bother with any kind of leavening at all ( 🥳 )
I've tried it both ways.

Anyway, I've got a question that has already caused enough heated debates in my circle to last a lifetime:
DO YOU PEOPLE ACTUALLY PUT SUGAR IN PANCAKES? MMMMMNNNNNNNNN FLAMEPOWA!!!

If you’ve got more than one packet of yeast sitting on the shelf at the grocery store, don't just grab the cheapest bag and call it a day; you really need to check the expiration date, though even that isn't always a guarantee these days.

But honestly, if things don't go south on their own, they usually find a way to fail alongside the flour. Or maybe it's just the quality of the flour itself—you'd have to ask someone like Gordon Ramsay to get a straight answer on that. ☕

np: mud hydroplane racing, slalom (sailing channel)
It’s easily the best sport out there, right after deep-sea muck diving.

The more I watch this stuff, the more I'm convinced that mud hydroplane racing is going to become my absolute favorite sport.
After that, you've got all the different combat sports and those lumberjack competitions.
Everything else is just aerobics.

Susan Clark10 said:If that logic holds up, I probably should’ve been behind bars a long time ago—given how much I write about married men. 😬

Speaking from the perspective of someone who’s already been through the wringer of marriage—if your spouse cheats, you aren't the idiot for being faithful... it's more like the person calling you a fool for staying loyal that's the problem. Namely Pavićka. 🙂

I don't put sugar in my cereal—I guess I just prefer it that way.

Susan Clark10 said:Hey, what does the phrase 'in a heartbeat' actually mean? There’s this song with that title I’ve been listening to for years, but I still can't quite wrap my head around it..

[/I]

Think about it like this... Dana Anderson4, remember that Wham! song 'Last Christmas'? It's all about doing things in a heartbeat...😬

It’s like that classic line from Krleža... "In the fog, I saw them, lost in the mist..."

Honestly, it's always a pretty solid excuse if you're young enough to claim you did everything just in a heartbeat.😁

That’s pure Krleža right there... I saw it through the fog, lost in the haze and the mist...

It’s always a pretty solid excuse if you're young enough to claim you were just acting on impulse in a daze.😁

Thanks so much for such a vivid explanation. 😁

@ gentlepuma20: I'm always on the woman's side, even if she happens to be a total heartbreaker.😬

What a complete disaster.

Honestly, I don't bother with sugar either. I heard someone suggest skipping it once, gave it a shot, and now I’m a believer. At the end of the day, shouldn't pancakes just be a simple vessel to carry the actual flavors of whatever you've stuffed inside them?
And here we go again, with that militant brand of activism ruining everything. We’ve basically gone and trashed the entire summer vacation with that one awful realization, haven't we?

Why? Do you really think she ought to be siding with the men? 😁 Not a chance. 😈

And what makes you say Ana C. is being militant? 😕

Well, if she actually has a point...
but whatever.

Ana C. gets all militant because she was trying her hardest to convince us that sugar MUST be included, and apparently, the whole debate was deeply upsetting to her. Meanwhile, Martin and I spent the first ten minutes just laughing our heads off, before eventually turning the whole thing into a running joke just to get under her skin.

But honestly? Ana C. was acting like such a fanatic, trying so hard to convince us that sugar MUST be included, and she seemed genuinely rattled by the whole debate. Martin and I just spent the first ten minutes rolling our eyes, and after that, we turned the whole thing into a joke just to mess with her a little bit.

I don't know, I'm no expert on pancakes. The only "dessert" I really know how to whip up is tiramisu.🙂

By the way, I know people who put sugar in their yogurt—now THAT is just gross.👎

Looks like we’ve got another uprising brewing here against the tyranny of terrible taste

Let me break this down for you:

My top 3 most obnoxious holiday foods

1. French cuisine—honestly, they’re just the ultimate bullies when it comes to fancy tables, tablecloths, and those over-the-top buffets
2. Cod—and look, I know you guys think I’m just being a picky kid because I (still) won't touch it, but whatever
3. Pork—I mean, seeing it served up lukewarm on New Year's Eve, looking like some side dish for a high-ranking officer's salad... ugh, just no🙂

Does anyone else remember that old commercial? You know, the one where they say you have to deck out the holiday table with all sorts of sweets to reach pure bliss!

I don't touch cod—and honestly, I'm not exactly a fan of French food either. ☕

Michael Newman50 said:Anyone else remember that old commercial? "Decorate your holiday table with all kinds of sweets for luck that reaches the heavens!" Man, that line was everywhere.

Oh man, I remember that! What was the deal with that again? 🤔

Every single time I turn on that MTV trash, for some reason, it’s always Ladytron playing. Seriously—what is up with this sugary-sweet band? Absolute garbage. 🙂

Mom's busy kneading the dough for the pot roast. 🙂
