Mr. Wrong said:A buddy of mine totally wiped out twice the summer before last while on vacation at the coast. He actually tried to dive headfirst into an empty pool during a backyard party. Biki 😍

raliSHA said:I think I can recall maybe one pretty serious fall where I ended up hitting my forehead right against the edge of a staircase while my hands were tucked in my pockets 😁

vividcanyon2 said:1. My most legendary and embarrassing moment: I was in a packed university cafeteria, stepped right on some fries, and just slid away flailing my arms everywhere (I was holding a pizza plate, by the way) and landed several feet away 🤣 My boyfriend tried to catch me, but of course, he missed, and he laughed so hard I could barely get up off the floor. Naturally, I made a break for it from the dining hall at lightning speed 😳

😂 😂 😂
Man, falling down is honestly just hilarious 😁

I can't put together a cover list. Everything is solid except for those last few. They weren't all handmade, and you can tell they were rushed through at the last minute...

which honestly just reminds me of my own top three absolute joke mascaras:

I actually wiped out on those damn stairs once during a masquerade party. I was dressed as Marge Simpson, and my wig flew right off. Some woman dressed as Lara Croft ended up helping me up while my traitorous friends just sat there clutching their sides laughing at me.
Ever since then, I don't walk those stairs while I'm drunk... unless I'm so wasted that I can't even remember it happening.🙂

I actually lost a tooth eating popcorn once—some unpopped kernel wedged itself right under a filling and snapped the whole thing into three pieces. Two of them flew out immediately. I was totally screwed, too; it was the summer of '89, and the nearest decent dentist was probably somewhere in Chicago... ended up treating myself with whiskey for two weeks. Pro tip for the youth: DO NOT EAT UNPOPPED KERNELS.
My all-time best fail: at a corporate Christmas party, my heel snapped right in the middle of the damn dance floor... I went down hard, sprawling out in front of my entire management team and the board of directors. They still tease me about it to this day. And the worst part? I wasn't even drinking that night—I was trying to stay sober to avoid an embarrassment.
My top artists from last quarter, according to my Last.fm stats:
1 Neil Young 396
2 Morphine 298
3 The Beatles 215
4 Elliott Smith 181
5 Bob Dylan 165
6 Nick Drake 140
7 M. Ward 130
8 Calexico 124
9 Devendra Banhart 116
10 Tindersticks 113

God, this is boring.

Best couple fall ever:

Back when I was out with my darling (the guy who actually chipped my tooth) trying to do some drunk multitasking—basically walking and kissing while having zero clue where we were going. We ended up stumbling a bit, he tripped backward right onto some metal railings on Broadway, and we both slammed into the ground, basically matching our dimensions perfectly 😁 Then, being the geniuses we are, we decided the position wasn't actually that bad and just hung out there for a minute 😵 Luck was on my side because I landed on him, but damn, my knee caught the edge of a step dead-on 🙂 I was limping for a week.

The friend who was with us—who is supposedly friends with these people, who eventually realized we were gone and just deadpanned, "Oh, they probably wiped out somewhere near here," before just kept walking 🤣 🤣 😍

I was absolutely reeling. It was the summer of '89, and the nearest decent dentist was probably halfway across Europe... I spent two weeks treating myself with straight whiskey. Lesson for the youth: DO NOT eat raw popcorn.
My best fall? At a corporate Christmas party, my heel snapped right at the peak of the night... I went down hard, sprawling out in front of all my bosses and the board members. They still tease me about it to this day. And the kicker? I wasn't even drinking that time; I was trying so hard *not* to embarrass myself.

Watch out for injuries out on those islands. The nurse in Prek has a terrible attitude and a massive mustache; honestly, she’s such a character that a hundred years ago she would've been in Barnum's circus or performing in some Parisian vaudeville show.

And the craziest wipeout: I once got my neck stuck through a hole in a playground slide over in a working-class neighborhood. For a second there, I think I felt what people feel when they're being hanged—but technically, it wasn't even a fall.

I’m telling you guys, you unstable bunch—you're all gonna wipe out like complete idiots (and honestly, I just took a nasty spill myself, so I’ll probably be face-planting right along with you the second this little clique of forum regulars gets together)

You’ve even got categories now! Stairs, bikes, potholes, being in pairs 😂—at this rate, vividcanyon2 is basically guaranteed a Lifetime Achievement Award

Back in elementary school, during recess, I slipped and my head hit the pavement—*BAM!*—just absolutely cracked it open... blood everywhere... ☕

anti-person said:back in elementary school during recess, I slipped and slammed my head right into a metal pole—*BAM!* cracked my skull wide open... blood everywhere... ☕

oh, man, I had my own "pole-to-the-head" moment too😁 during some college training drills, I passed out—well, that's the only time, unless you count that one time someone shoved me in a frat house while System of a Down was blasting, sending me flying straight into the bar counter and landing head-first. They told me I was unconscious for a bit, though I don't remember a thing😬 ended up in the ER anyway because I absolutely wrecked my elbow😢

but from that specific crash, I had this huge bump above my eyebrow (still got it) and dark circles under my eyes so bad that everyone kept asking who beat me up for weeks—some random kid at the local Starbucks even cornered me, acting all concerned, thinking my husband must be hitting me🤣 and my college buddies just started calling me B'Elanna🙂

Simply mediocre.

1. First off, let me be clear: I don't bother categorizing people into "metalheads" and everyone else. There are thousands of different types of people out there. This blog exists to discuss metal, its impact, its enemies, and everyone who thinks we’re just freaks... so, here we are. There are metalheads, and then there’s everyone else. .......

As for "truthfulness," nobody can ever be 100% honest. Period. But anyone can certainly make an effort to be at least halfway there.

I honestly have no clue who invented these damn preppies. They've always rubbed me the wrong way.
This is getting ridiculous. I walk into a dealership in Dallas to pick up my new ride from Borgir, only to have some poser pull in right behind me.
"Hey man... I went out to pick up a shirt from..."
Maiden, anything happening? Take a look over there and see for yourself...
She’s incredible. Who cares if she isn't Black? As long as she delivers.
It says Maiden on it...

It’s a total sanctuary.Selling that kind of stuff should be banned for everyone except...
Metalheads.
Seriously, this has officially crossed the line. Enough is enough!

Most veteran metalheads write off the younger crowd as nothing but posers. There are always a few exceptions, though.
I honestly think the biggest motivator is just seeing how people dress... for example.New marbles that were tied incorrectly. It’s really just a matter of time. If someone actually wants to become a true metalhead, they won't get there overnight. It's a process that takes years.A proper dress code will eventually develop. It’s just what defines our way of life.

And the greatest of all time:

Look at what this waterfront has turned into. It’s become a mess where metalheads, preppies, and posers all crowd the same metal railings while the actual real ones couldn't care less. Kudos to Šango, Dustin, Mouse, and the rest of the crew for standing against the posers, but I honestly think we need to take some action. I'm not talking about getting physical or starting shouting matches—I mean... It's time to draw a line in the sand. Metalheads on one side, everyone else on the other. And everyone’s just living happily ever after.Black and white don't belong together. You just end up with gray.-Varg Vikernes (Burzum).

God, my head is killing me.
