Anime Recommendations?

The last thing I watched was FF: Advent Children, and before that, Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence... also, that Trinity Blood series is top-tier. Now, I’m looking for recommendations worth grabbing from a torrent.

Just please, nothing subpar. I’ve already seen most of the classics, so I’m asking: is there anything fresh, or at least relatively recent?

Man, I don't get it. I seriously don't understand the hype surrounding Japanese animation.

I’ve sat through Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, Bleach, Naruto, Fate/stay night, Akira, Evangelion, X, Ghost in the Shell—which was a bit of a letdown, honestly—Rurouni Kenshin, Death Note, D.Gray-man, Cowboy Bebop, Hellsing, and Berserk... I might have missed a few, like Sailor Moon, Pokémon, Digimon, or Beyblade. 🙂

Honestly? My top recommendation would be to just head outside, grab a dog, and go for a long walk or something—anything to get away from the screen instead of wasting precious time on this kind of nonsense.

They aren't feature films, but they’re dear to me... mostly for the girls 😁 such as Vampire Knight and Nana... though I have a soft spot for Hell Girl too. Right now, I'm diving into Paradise Kiss.

So, here’s my take: you seriously need to check out the movie small shop nightmare. Honestly, it’s got absolutely nothing to do with the original film they made, which I guess is fine, but whatever. I personally thought it was awesome, and I’m pretty sure anyone else who gives it a watch is gonna feel the exact same way about it.

I recently started watching a series called Texhnolyze and I find it quite interesting. It doesn't rely on typical anime aesthetics, which I think is a major plus. There are other good series like Gungrave, Ergo Proxy, Gantz, and Elfen Lied, all of which feel slightly more grounded in their plots, assuming the format allows for it. Personally, I'm not a fan of fantasy stories involving elves, so this has been a nice change of pace.
