😁

Mucek, if you actually believe this is enough to offend me... you’re seriously underestimating my intelligence. 😁
Besides, what on earth does any of that have to do with your carefully curated persona and your penchant for dishonesty?

Honestly, I could probably transcribe this statement word for word and claim it as my own; there’s something quite refreshing about seeing opponents actually show one another a modicum of respect for once.
Whether I’m being a bit much for certain people is a whole different conversation entirely...

Perhaps.

🤣
Does it actually matter to WHOM I am being this exhausting?

To everyone who isn't stuck in the endless grind of multi-level marketing.
Back in 1984, people treated the idea that omega-3s were actually good for you as if it were the most absurd, nonsensical claim ever uttered—which is hilarious, considering we now have decades of solid evidence proving it’s absolutely true. 😁

What a pathetic attempt at a disqualification—one built on absolutely zero facts and even fewer actual arguments, serving as nothing more than a desperate little performance to showcase how brilliant they think they are.
A total failure on every conceivable level.
So, we’re left staring down the barrel of the next five to ten years, aren't we? It really makes you wonder what kind of reality we’re actually going to wake up to when that time finally rolls around. 😁

Look, even if I were to somehow stumble upon the hidden benefits of multi-level marketing one day—an event about as likely as it raining axes from the sky—I still wouldn't dream of buying anything from someone who can't write a coherent sentence.

You’ve certainly made your level of literacy quite clear, so I think I’ll spare us both any further discussion on the matter.
And what exactly is all this foaming at the mouth about?
Of course, all of this happens within the controlled confines of a laboratory, but we really ought to be asking where the raw materials are actually coming from—whether they are being sourced directly from nature or pulled out of some mysterious "magic box."

You’ve clearly mastered the chemistry side of things, so I think we can officially retire that topic; I’ve evidently forgotten more about chemical structures than you'll ever manage to learn.
Don't go pinning me down over a passing comment I made in stride.

Well, welcome to the Internet.
But I'm quite certain that UCLA houses one of the most cutting-edge and prestigious labs of its kind in the entire world, so you don't necessarily have to agree with me—that’s entirely your own issue.

And what kind of argument is that, exactly?
To all the esteemed American nutrition experts out there, if you find my claims hard to swallow, feel free to use the email address for Dr. David Heber provided in this link and ask him whatever it is you won't take my word for...

And who might this illustrious doctor be?

I really have no desire to send an email to someone involved in Multi-level marketing... it would be a bit like asking a wolf if sheep are actually healthy, wouldn't it?
Is it not also true that diet can influence cancer rates??..

That isn't what I said.

What I actually said was that your precious Herbalife is undoubtedly a cure for cancer.

And AIDS, too.

Do try to pay closer attention to how I phrase things.
Perhaps you could educate yourselves a little by attending lectures hosted by my mentors:

So, your mentors are just various websites?

Just as I suspected...

Indigo Girl said:Honestly, I am just completely lost here. This is pretty much my daily routine because, frankly, my options at the office cafeteria are incredibly limited:

I have breakfast around 8:30 AM—usually just a little bit of cereal with yogurt, and then some fruit later on.

Lunch is at 1:00 PM, where I’ll grab a green salad or some cabbage, maybe one or two slices of bread—either with jam or perhaps some cheese and ham—plus some more fruit.

Around 6:00 PM, I try to have a piece of meat and a salad, but that doesn't always happen—so often I just end up eating four pieces of fruit, like bananas, apples, or oranges.

And that’s really it! Almost every single day is basically identical 😢

I don't drink coffee, I don't smoke, I hit an aerobics class about three times a week, and I get plenty of walking in.

Yet, I’ve been stuck at the exact same weight since December.

If this counts as eating "a lot," then I truly have no clue... but I absolutely CANNOT bring myself to eat less.

You are eating WAY TOO LITTLE (especially protein!).
How do your clothes fit? Are they still just as loose? It is entirely possible that you've actually burned off some fat and built up muscle instead. Muscle is significantly denser than fat—it's like the difference between a pound of feathers and a pound of lead, really—so even if the number on the scale stays the same, your body composition could be improving immensely.

mistybear4 said:What are you even getting so worked up about? 😕
Look, I get it—of course all this stuff is processed in a lab. That’s just how science works. But we need to stop glossing over the most important part: where is the raw material actually coming from? There is a massive, fundamental difference between extracting nutrients directly from whole plants and pulling some synthetic compound out of a "magic box." One is actual nutrition; the other is just chemistry. 😁

Are you kidding me right now? Are we really doing this? Is there actually anyone in here who isn't just talking in circles or wasting everyone's time? Seriously, what is the point of even posting if you're just going to throw out nonsense like that? It’s frustrating, honestly. I feel like I spend half my day trying to have actual, meaningful discussions about the research or the industry, only to be met with total gibberish. Just get to the point or don't bother. 😕
Listen, my dear "personal nutrition advisor"—you know, the kind who lacks even a basic grasp of chemistry or how fundamental biological processes actually work—I’m not just foaming at the mouth for no reason. I literally just asked you a question that you couldn't even answer.
You can try peddling those fairy tales about "miracle breakthroughs" happening in some high-tech lab to the ignorant masses if you want—and honestly, maybe you even believe them yourself. It’s the perfect pitch for people who are just desperate to believe in something, even if that "something" is just overpriced "natural vitamins." 🙏

Look, if you actually want to have a serious discussion about anything, you need to bring at least a baseline level of knowledge to the table. It’s pretty obvious from your posts that you don't have it. Honestly, anyone who spent even half an hour paying attention in high school biology or chemistry class—instead of just sitting there being restless—could see right through you.

Have you actually ever sat down and read one of the scientific papers by the guys you keep citing? Because if you have, I seriously doubt you understood a single word of them. First off, you’ve already admitted yourself that your English isn't exactly top-tier, and let's be real—you need more than just basic language skills to wrap your head around this kind of research. You need actual foundational knowledge. So, tell me, do you even know why Ignarro was awarded the Nobel Prize? Do you have any clue what his specific contribution to science actually was?

And honestly, have you ever even stepped foot inside a chemistry or biology lab? If not, how can you sit there and claim with such absolute certainty that the lab at UCLA is the best in the world? Give me a break. You clearly don't even grasp the most basic scientific concepts.

Look, I’m telling you this because I actually care: grab a book and start studying. Seriously. If you want to understand how any of this works, you need to go back to the basics. Start with some solid high school textbooks to get your fundamentals straight before you try to tackle the heavy stuff. You can't build a house on sand, right? Get the foundation down first.

Honestly, folks, I don't get why MacProphet has to swoop in and muddy the waters of every single nutrition thread we start.

And frankly, I’m sitting here scratching my head wondering why you all even bother getting into these endless arguments with him in the first place.

Let's talk a bit more about what "natural" really means 😉

Mark Hughes, Herbalife's Founder, dead AT aga 44
Mark Hughes, Herbalife's Founder, dead AT aga 44
Stephen Barrett

Back in May 2002, the guy who started it all—the Herbalife founder, chairman, and CEO Mark Reynold Hughes—was found dead at his massive $27 million beach house in Malibu, California. When David Evans over at Bloomberg News did a deep dive into how this happened, he reported the following:

It looks like Hughes passed away following a four-day bender, likely due to a combination of excessive alcohol consumption and an overdose of the antidepressant doxepin.
His blood alcohol concentration was sitting at 0.21%, which is more than twice the legal limit for drunk driving.
On top of that, he was actually seeing a psychiatrist to deal with his issues with alcohol.
Hughes used to tell everyone that his motivation for launching the company was his mother, Jo Ann Hartman, passing away because of diet pills. But if you look at the actual facts, Hartman's autopsy found that She died of an overdose of Darvon, a narcotic painkiller. When she passed, she was 5-foot-6, but she only weighed about 105 pounds.
This piece originally came out on December 17, 2004.

fadedtrucker19 said:1... "it’s very important WHO finds this exhausting ???" ...
Anyone who isn't involved in Multi-level marketing.

2..."people just like you thought it was the biggest joke in 1984 when they claimed omega 3 was good for health (21 years ago), while today we know it's true.."
A pathetic attempt at disqualification based on zero facts and even fewer arguments, all while trying to act like the smartest person in the room.
It fails on every single level.

3.... "the question is what will you realize in the next 5-10 years?"
Look, even if I somehow realized one day that Multi-level marketing actually works—which is about as likely as it raining axes—I wouldn't buy anything from someone who can't even write properly.

4... You've already shown your level of chemistry knowledge, so I won't bother... I've clearly forgotten more chemistry than you'll ever learn.

5... "but I am sure that the most modern and prestigious lab of its kind in the world is at UCLA, so you don't have to agree with that, that's your problem" - And that's an argument... what kind?

6... "esteemed American nutrition experts, on this (following) link you also have the email for Dr. David Heber, so ask him everything since you don't believe me"
- And that big doctor is...? I don't think anyone would send an email to a Multi-level marketing distributor... it's like asking a sheep if meat is healthy.

7... "is it not true that diet can affect cancer?? .."
- I didn't say that. I said your Herbalife is definitely a cure for cancer. And AIDS.

8... "you could educate yourselves a bit and go to lectures by my teachers:"
- Your teachers are websites? Just as I thought...

1 - This isn't about Multi-level marketing; I'm providing information about things that can help people. Whether you buy it at a local health food store or from a distributor (Multi-level marketing) is irrelevant... the main point is understanding that natural plant products offer better health benefits than pharmaceuticals... 🙂

2 - I can't find the original document right now (too many years have passed), but the pharmaceutical industry sued Herbalife in a US court back in 1984 when they started producing omega 3 for "slander," "lies," and spreading "misinformation" regarding omega 3 (and claims that it was good for human health). The court ruled in their favor and fined Herbalife $750,000, which they paid before moving on (they were too small back then to fight them on equal footing)

3 - "buying from someone illiterate" is a problem for many, especially those with oversized egos; in that case, just go to a pharmacy and let some "expert" sell you some poison... 😁
My take on this business is that I do know a thing or two about it, but even what I know now is far too much for people like you... 😉

4 - For me, knowing chemistry isn't even necessary for this work; it feels like I'm trying to convince someone, but really I'm just defending myself against stupid, baseless attacks from people who don't know how to apply their knowledge in practice... 😎

5 - What kind of argument is that? The kind where that lab is named after the Herbalife founder, Mark Hughes—"MARK HUGHES CELLULAR & MOLECULAR NUTRITION LAB"

http://www.nrg-fit.com/molecular_nutrion_lab.asp

6 - Dr. David Heber is a scientist and doesn't deal in sales; he's with Herbalife simply because Herbalife is No. 1 and he knows that through Herbalife, he can best expand his nutritional findings across the world, which is the fundamental mission of Louis Ignarro and all the others (the 160-170 top experts).

7 - Look, Herbalife isn't some medical miracle; it's just food. Once you actually wrap your head around that, you can start thinking about this much more constructively. Despite how much power Big Pharma holds over us, Herbalife tries to show that people can take their health into their own hands through nutrition instead of just sitting around waiting for some doctor's mercy—not to mention those endless six-month waits for an appointment. The body is basically a perfect machine, and if you fuel it right, it runs beautifully. Even if things have gone sideways, it's not all lost because the human organism is constantly regenerating itself; once you realize that and start giving it exactly what it needs, you can help it recover and heal, even if "cure" is a bit of a stretch... 😉

8 - Don't play dumb, or you might just end up staying that way... though, honestly, sorry, looks like I'm a little late with that warning... 😂

Have you ever actually sat down and read one of the scientific papers by the men you keep citing? If you have, I seriously doubt you grasped any of it, especially since you've already admitted your English isn't exactly top-tier, and honestly, you need more than just basic literacy to make sense of those studies. For instance, do you even know what specific scientific contribution earned Ignarro the Nobel Prize?

I mean, have you actually ever stepped foot inside a chemical or biological lab? Unless you've spent enough time around test tubes to know what you're talking about, claiming that the lab at UCLA is the best in the world is a pretty massive stretch. You really seem to be struggling with the most basic concepts here.

Look, if you want my advice, just grab some decent high school textbooks and start studying; you really need to wrap your head around the basics first.

Every time I run into a question I can't answer right away, it just gives me a little extra push to go out and find the solution, which honestly ends up being a decent excuse to learn something new along the way. 🙂
There's nothing really shameful about being uninformed, but there is something deeply exhausting about people who refuse to learn while simultaneously acting like they have all the answers.

I’ve had plenty of conversations with experts who haven't the slightest clue what I actually do for a living, and when I casually ask them about the reputation of UCLA, they all say the same thing—that it's the gold standard globally when it comes to research, equipment, and actual results. I've seen enough citations to back that up myself, but hey, if you want to keep believing your own little lab is the pinnacle of science and that you're the smartest person in the room, go right ahead; I'm certainly not going to be the one to burst that bubble for you. 😉

When it comes to the basics of what actually works for your health, you don't need a PhD in biochemistry or a degree in biology. All I really need is proof of who it worked for, and honestly, I have more than enough of those stories to last a lifetime; I’ve personally met hundreds of people who have seen these results firsthand, and I know thousands more through the grapevine. That kind of real-world evidence should be more than enough to convince anyone, but unfortunately, I keep finding myself on this impossible mission, trying to explain common sense to people who seem to think they've already mastered all the wisdom in the world—which is why I always end up stuck in these exhausting little arguments.

I know Ignarro actually won a Nobel Prize for his research on nitric oxide, and if you're interested in checking out the book he wrote, you can always borrow it from me. 😉
He finally figured out how to manipulate nitric oxide levels to help protect people from heart attacks—since our bodies just don't produce enough of it on their own.
If you’re actually interested in his lecture, you can probably sign up for it if you really want to.
Even though Ignarro is a total genius when it comes to this field, he still ended up carrying an extra 70 pounds before he used Herbalife products to drop it all in just a single year. That experience clearly changed everything for him; he fell in love with the company, and now he’s working side-by-side with David Heber to refine their entire lineup and develop new formulas. They're even working on that famous "Night Works" formula, which is designed to help prevent heart attacks and move cardiac patients out of that high-risk category and into a much safer one.
I had a bit of a realization about nitric oxide while listening to his lecture; if you're actually interested in hearing about it, I might try to walk you through it some other time. 😉

5 - I’m just focusing on what actually interests me—nutrition trends and plant research—and when it comes to that, I'm pretty sure UCLA is the gold standard. Everything else is just noise to me. 😉

6 - I appreciate the advice, really, but I'm already following it; I'm basically going back to basics so that one day I might actually be able to give a lecture to someone like you.
To be honest, I've picked up a lot here on this forum, though it's a bit exhausting seeing how much negativity there is whenever someone tries to share what they know... everyone seems to be acting so "high and mighty" (is it the degrees?) which honestly doesn't impress me at all. The people I grew up with and spent my time with weren't these kinds of snobs; they were just regular, down-to-earth people who were actually easy to talk to. 😁

they argue because they're desperate to prove I have no clue what I'm talking about... 😎
and they argue because they think having a basic grasp of chemistry somehow qualifies them to give dietary advice... 😁

I'm just defending myself against their jabs, but unfortunately, that's how we end up drifting away from the actual topic... 😲

YOU DON'T EVEN UNDERSTAND THE ABSOLUTE BASICS OF CHEMISTRY—we're talking seventh-grade science level here!
Did you even finish middle school? You definitely didn't make it through high school... honestly, any high school chemistry teacher would be absolutely mortified to know they had a student who thinks it's "N.O." instead of NO!!!!!!!!!!

WHAT DO YOU THINK N.O. IS????? Nitric oxide? Is that what it's called in English? Do you even have a textbook on this? The fact that you can't even spell a basic chemical compound just shows you don't have a clue how to write any formula at all!!!!!!!!!1

you, Luca, Sarah Gomez52, nimbledriver81, vf_9, and me (sorry if I missed anyone—definitely wasn't intentional) all know he’s just talking nonsense... he's basically just a loudmouth who spends way too much time hunting for links to back himself up. but the rest of the people on this forum don't see that. they might end up stuck in this position where they have to "choose" between listening to people who actually know their stuff versus someone who just posts constantly and sounds super convincing. and that's honestly pretty scary, because some people might end up believing him just because they think, "well, those experts don't really know anything anyway!"

Look, honey, those are just buzzwords. No matter how much you claim to be "learning," you're still showing a staggering level of ignorance and a complete misunderstanding of the basics.

[/B]

That is exactly what a lot of people here are trying to explain to you. You don't need any actual knowledge to sell Herbalife; all you need is a few catchphrases and some big "scientific" sounding words like "cellular nutrition." But dear, you walked into this forum to debate chemistry, biology, physiology, and cellular mechanics with biologists, chemists, and biochemists—and let me tell you, those buzzwords don't work on them. Unlike you, they actually understand the science behind what they're talking about.

mistybear4 said:4 - I know, Ignarro won a Nobel Prize for his research on N.O. (nitric oxid) and if you're interested in the book he wrote, you can borrow it from me.. 😉
He found a way to protect people from heart attacks by regulating N.O. (which our bodies produce, but not enough of)..
You could even qualify to attend his lecture if you were truly interested...
Even though Ignarro is a genius in that field, he was 70 pounds overweight and dropped it all in a single year using Herbalife products. That's how he fell in love with the company. Now, he's working alongside David Heber to refine every existing product and develop new ones, including that famous "Niteworks" which prevents heart attacks and moves cardiac patients from a high-risk group to a safe one...
I picked up a bit about nitric oxide during his lecture, and if you're interested, I can try to present it to you another time.. 😉[/B]

Here is lesson number one: N.O. isn't spelled the way you wrote it because that means absolutely nothing. The correct notation is NO.
And I'll say it again: unlike you, I actually know what NO is. In fact, I've read Ignarro's original research papers because I need them for my job. Honestly, if I am ever forced to sit through a lecture on NO, vitamins, minerals, or any other chemical compounds from an ignoramus of your caliber, I will commit ritual suicide.

Anyway, I'm off to go use my signature. 👋
