You finally caught on, didn't you? Of course the outcome is already set in stone... he’ll end up healthy, happy, and totally satisfied. 😁

indigo Girl, go ahead and drop that question of yours one more time for us.

From what I can gather—and correct me if I'm wrong here—you're saying you've been cutting way back on calories lately and hitting the gym much harder than usual, yet the scale isn't budging and your measurements haven't changed at all. Is that actually an issue... or did I miss something while I was busy arguing with this amateur?

Vivianne said:Besides, indigo Girl asked a question, so it would be decent of us to actually give her an answer.

she’s already heard the same thing plenty of times by now...
so why don't you try being polite and just write out your own response instead of just pointing out that she needs one, you know?

mistybear4 said:All I'll say is the trick is converting citrulline into arginine (I'm still not entirely sure what that means, but I'll try to wrap my head around it)

It might be better to actually learn the science before you start throwing terms around!
And besides, we have standard American terminology too!

If you're going to use American terms, at least use them CORRECTLY!!!

You've got a point there; I'll be sure to take note of that with all due respect... and a little bow to go along with it.🙏

They go through such incredible lengths to wrap their expertise in these magical little formulas, just so they don't accidentally explain everything using basic common sense and lose that precious air of sanctity.

I'm still sitting here waiting for a legitimate argument from this chemical Inquisition, but all I can smell is sulfur.

😁

Exactly what I'm saying—as if knowledge is some kind of priceless secret kept under lock and key... 😁 👍

Sarah Gomez52 said:... "... citrulline" vs "arginine" ...
you really ought to learn the basics before you start throwing around big terms like that!!!
and besides, we have standard American terminology!!!

...if you're going to insist on using American naming conventions, at least use them CORRECTLY!!!

Look who's lecturing us now (don't go hoarding all that wisdom like a dragon guarding gold 😁 )
I don't feel the need to be an expert on everything since we actually have professional chemists around here, right? 😉

Wait, so does "nitric" become "carbonic" now? Or am I just misremembering?
My 8th grade chemistry teacher back in middle school was a guy from the South, which is the last time I really sat through a lecture... but luckily there are enough chemists on this forum (who actually care about the details) to set things straight. 😁

It's funny how much of your "precious" time you spend obsessing over these tiny details; it seems like you're becoming more and more of a self-appointed inquisitor lately. 😁

Wait, if I’m reading you right, Rachel Brooks63, you're actually home right now, aren't you? Weren't you supposed to be heading out to meet a Nobel laureate in Santa Barbara? 😉

mistybear4, just imagine—a Nobel laureate could wander into any small town in America. You don't exactly have to trek all the way across the States to track one down. 😁

I'm a bit of a homebody—couldn't make it down to Santa Barbara during my fourth month of pregnancy... plus, they said the weather was pretty lousy anyway.

And regarding meeting Nobel laureates, I've actually already crossed paths with two of them. So, I'm definitely not one of those people who hunts down photos with Nobel laureates just to post them online...

Susan Gomez33 said:So, Rachel Brooks63, if I'm getting this right, you're basically home free... weren't you heading out to meet some Nobel laureate over in Santa Barbara? 😉

The guy actually showed us an MRI of his own head 😁

Claims he was dying to see what was rattling around in there...

Then he just looked totally let down when he realized his brain looks exactly like everyone else's... typical. 😁

Look, I might not be some Nobel laureate, but my MRI was a massive letdown too. I was really hoping to find something interesting tucked away in there—maybe some hidden drama or something—but nope... just totally empty. Just like everyone else's...

Alright, so who was that person actually hanging out in Santa Barbara?

And since we're all busy bragging—just for the record, I actually got a photo with Aragorna. 🙂

Not me. But I've got the book of abstracts right here in front of me, so I guess you could say rustymoose54 is...

And honestly, I even managed to snag a photo with Tony Kukoc... 🙄

And me? Hanging out with Zdravko Colic 🤣

Santa Barbara: I was there, and so was Richard Ernst 😎

There were a few other folks running around too, but honestly, who cares...

I have to say, that’s exactly how it sounds to me as well.

It all comes down to one's individual metabolism, I suppose, but looking at that list, the menu strikes me as being incredibly meager.
Look, I realize I’m essentially living off my grandmother’s hospitality at this point, but let’s be honest...

We were hanging out in Miami—I actually ran into Richard Branson there once.😎

I spent my entire morning listening to old-school hits on a playlist called "Sunny Florida" that my boss set up, even though I told her straight up that she needs to take me along next time!🙂
