They basically just rounded up all those poor souls from the East and people stuck in the Middle Ages; honestly, it wouldn't even surprise me if they went out and specifically recruited folks who are actively fighting the regime.

They drop them everywhere. People seem to think that if a nuclear war breaks out, one side drops a single bomb, the other side retaliates, and that's the end of it. In reality, a nuclear war would be over in just a few hours because everyone would launch everything they have. If you're actually going to drop one, there's no point in stopping at just one, because the other side is definitely going to get their revenge within minutes.

Have you seen those Russian military rations? Some of them expired back in 2015. They gathered up some heavy beans and a bunch of kids thinking they could just march into Kyiv. Now they're finally starting that old doctrine where they level everything living before moving in. They've been pounding Mariupol relentlessly for about 16 or 17 hours straight. Entire sections of the city are completely obliterated. The military is positioned just a few miles from the city, waiting for a lull in the shelling before they launch their assault. I honestly fear what city is next on the list to fall to these massive strikes.
I might be wrong, but I get the feeling the units down in the South are much better equipped and higher quality than the ones up North. Up North, you've got older guys and reservists trying to act like a real army. Down here in the South, you see actual men in their prime with true military discipline. They aren't playing around.

Having been conditioned by previous intimidation tactics, I simply didn't expect this; I'm not the only one. My mistake, though I still don't see things escalating to such extremes. Dammit, if we didn't reach this point during the Cuban Missile Crisis, we won't hit it here either. Even the USA struggled through wars without dropping nukes. But hey, we'll live to see what happens.

Okay, that makes sense. So, he'd actually destroy the entire world and his own country just for this war? Do people seriously believe he's willing to go that far? Not a soul in Russia would let that happen.

The idiot’s hitting everyone—kids, seniors, you name it. Protests are blowing up all over Russia right now, but honestly? It’s not doing squat yet. Unless literally every single person hits the streets and topples him, things aren't gonna get any better.

There isn't anyone properly trained left in the South on the Ukrainian side. The DPR and LPR forces in the East have kept the ones who were originally prepping for an invasion pinned down. The rest of the Ukrainian military is busy guarding Kyiv. According to some chatter floating around Twitter, the Russians have set a 14-day window for this whole operation.

And what happens once those 14 days are up? I highly doubt they’ll just call off the operation. In all likelihood, they are already moving fresh reinforcements from deep within Russia toward the border as we speak. I am not saying it is impossible, but let me tell you... I have my doubts that they can actually break the Ukrainians in just seven days.

If they don't manage to pull this off, they’ll likely just keep pushing until their objectives are met, whether that means ramping up the pressure or staying the course as they are now. That 14-day window? It's nothing more than an educated guess.

I was just watching an interview with a former Russian foreign minister who used to serve as Sergey Lavrov's deputy, and he was discussing Putin's mindset and those constant threats. He described it as having this typical "gangster" mentality—just street-level intimidation—which isn't surprising given their usual modus operandi. He suggested that if anyone in his inner circle actually issued more serious orders, things would likely be prevented before they even started.

I stumbled upon some absolutely horrific videos on Reddit showing dead civilians lying in the streets of Kharkiv. It’s the kind of thing that just leaves you feeling sick to your stomach for the rest of your life.
It’s actually startling how many people I know seem to be backing Putin, claiming that the Americans are the ones who completely triggered this whole mess. Honestly, I don't know... what am I even supposed to say to people at this point?

A few days ago, I was reading an article in the Morning that suggested the Chinese invasion has been put on hold. Apparently, they care deeply about their global image right now, and besides, the Russians already dealt them a massive blow back in 2008 with Georgia.
