Diesel in Germany is hitting $2.20 on the highway and up to $2.50 elsewhere

Goddammit! It’s not just going to be Russians and Ukrainians getting screwed; everyone in the European Union is about to feel the squeeze too...

Kesić really gave them a masterclass in how to handle that situation. 🤣

Nathan Murphy said:The Newspaper and Mamut series are just plain bad—cringe is probably the best way I can put it. Honestly, Matanić is overrated, and his obsession with pushing those Scandinavian-style shows, which are inherently dull and lifeless, is just painful. They rely way too much on those poorly executed slow-motion shots.

Law is law 😁 Maček is easily one of the better TV characters of the 21st century. Personally, though, I still think our best series was the other Gruntovčani. The mere idea that some people think the Newspaper or Mamut are superior shows is just laughable.

Gruntovčan is top tier.
But for me, after Small Town, Beggar, and Sons, I’d put them right up there with Big City....
Where the Wild Swine Goes is also an excellent show.
Mamutica had a decent story going at the start...

I was watching the news today and saw this one scene—just a soldier saying goodbye to his son... the little guy is crying, hitting his dad's helmet. I can't even remember the last time something hit me that hard. How can Putin sleep peacefully at night? I honestly don't know...

I mean, I doubt he's sleeping peacefully through all this mess... but that probably doesn't answer what you're actually asking. He’s likely just a total psychopath who's completely disconnected from any kind of empathy. People like that actually get a weird rush or a spark of emotion from seeing others suffer. So, while a normal person feels their heart sink, a psychopath might actually feel a little "boost" because it’s one of the few times they actually feel anything at all. It's a pretty basic breakdown of how a psychopath works, but it holds up.

The real kicker is that our whole species seems wired so that narcissists and psychopaths basically climb straight to the top of the food chain, and there's zero sign that's ever going to change. If you took ten different countries and put them on paper right now, you'd probably find that type of personality running 10 out of 10 of them. So really, why are we even surprised things are such a disaster? Honestly, it could be way worse...

Maybe you should head over to Russia, then; I hear things are quite affordable there.

Just like how Zelensky was sleeping soundly while the Donbas was being shelled. 🤷

Yeah, I actually have that series sitting right there on my hard drive, but I just can't seem to find the time to sit down and actually watch it. Honestly, when am I ever going to get around to it?

How? Yes and no. There was a ceasefire in effect until the separatists started the provocations and the shelling themselves, all just to give that midget an excuse to bring the army in. And even if they did what you claim, they still have every right to liberate their own territory within internationally recognized borders, rather than letting those Russian chetniks carve out some kind of frontier.

It’s honestly hard for me to take any Ukrainian claims at face value when they've already shown how willing they are to twist the truth and play games. Of course the Russians disagree too, but they aren't the only ones, and the Russians aren't the only ones being backed by the entire Western media mainstream that prints every single lie as gospel across a million newspapers and sites.
The whole "fake state" thing isn't really relevant here because nothing would satisfy those Chetniks except a "Greater Mexico." A better comparison would be Americans living in certain parts of the country who have been getting pushed around by local factions for decades.
If Americans reacted tomorrow the same way people in Donbas and Luhansk do, I highly doubt anyone would call them "Chetniks." In fact, it would probably be the exact opposite—people would likely be talking about signing up for a volunteer militia, and suddenly nobody would care about "internationally recognized borders" anymore. Isn't it funny how easily "the right to self-determination" and other lofty terms get tossed in the trash the moment someone we don't like uses them? It’s the same deal with Catalans, Basques, Scots, or Irish; we support them even though their goals don't align with official borders.

I find it quite easy to believe, because I seriously doubt the Ukrainians would be the first to start raining artillery fire on separatists while expecting a massive invasion of their own country any day now. There is absolutely no connection there. But you, however, choose to blindly trust the Russian dictatorship. Naturally, everyone stands on the side of the one who was attacked and invaded. The comparisons to the frontier are entirely appropriate. They were the majority population in occupied territory, pushed out the dissenters, and seized the narrative that they were being threatened by the majority population. Just like the Russian militants in Donbas. It is strange how the Russian minority in other parts of Ukraine isn't feeling threatened; in fact, they fight heartily against the aggressors and consider Ukraine their home, yet this group of militants in the east suddenly finds itself under threat. This is cheap propaganda that only fools fall for. Realize once and for all that there is no Soviet Union, there is no empire, and there is no Tsar. Those eras are long gone. The little guy you idolize so much will ultimately become a victim of his own people. The only question left is whether they handle him quickly or throw him in a cell.

So, have the Chinese and Indians actually condemned the invasion and decided to stand with Ukraine yet?

From what I can see, we've got two major hits today—the US banned Russian energy imports, and the Poles agreed to hand over Migs to the Ukrainians. 🤷

This guy is such a blatant fifth columnist, he's been peddling that same tired story for days now... ☕

Just like when Obama was running drone strikes in Syria, or when Bush had Iraq. Honestly, this Western moralizing is absolutely ridiculous.

If only Ukraine weren't Syria or Iraq...
From what I can gather—and I try to stay informed—Zelensky hasn't been using chemical weapons against the Russians.
He didn't go invading neighboring Moldova by declaring it twenty-two different Ukrainian oblasts, much like how someone might act in Kuwait.

In Ukraine, for instance, you don't have minority Greek Catholics ruling over a majority of Orthodox Christians—unlike the situation in Sunni Iraq or Alawite Syria.
The President of Ukraine won through free elections; meanwhile, President Assad wins with 101%.
President Zelensky hasn't destroyed a single one of his own cities—Assad is the one who leveled Aleppo and Homs.
The West certainly has plenty of blood on its hands.
But honestly—and I mean this sincerely—only malicious or foolish people would attempt to compare Russia's actions in Ukraine to what happened in Iraq and Syria.

Look, when Assad was busy gassing his own people while the whole world watched, who even cares about that anymore? 🤦

The Gulf War happened, what, over ten years before Iraq was destroyed? Even if it had been at the exact same time, is killing half a million civilians considered "crossing a line"? I have no idea how those psychopaths sleep at night.

In Ukraine, for instance, you don't have a minority ruling over a majority—unlike, say, Sunni rule over Shias in Iraq or Alawite rule over Sunnis in Syria.

The West has done plenty of terrible things.
But honestly, only malicious or incredibly stupid people try to compare Russia's actions in Ukraine to what happened in Iraq and Syria.

Yeah, comparing a conflict where over half a million people die to one where a few thousand die is nothing but pure malice.

And don't give me that lecture about democracy. We all know why the West went in there and why groups like ISIS were being armed. Anyone with half a brain knows the truth. There are a thousand places under dictatorships where human rights are trampled (look at Saudi Arabia, not to mention their mess in Yemen), but the West doesn't intervene because they have good relations and profit to protect. The reality is that these interventions killed massive numbers of people and triggered huge refugee crises. But nobody gave a damn. The West’s hypocrisy and moralizing is a joke; they've done much worse.

Admiral Lošo—that pro-Russian genius—just went absolutely nuclear, hitting at a level ten intensity. He’s connected everything—from COVID and reptiles to the Khazars and the October Revolution—all just to argue that Ukrainians aren't even a real nation and are basically Nazis. 😬

He keeps saying, "everyone is asking where I am," but honestly, after five minutes of listening to that podcast, it's pretty obvious he was just getting some "specialized training" in Moscow. 😬

So basically, you feel just as bad in both these scenarios:
a) I wreck one of my best buddies from the neighborhood
b) I screw over some random guy in Polynesia you didn't even know existed

Listening to this stuff while you're already feeling burnt out by everything... what a complete circus! 🙏 🙏 🙏

On the other hand, isn't it a little unsettling how some people listen to this with a completely straight face, treating it like serious news? 🤣
