They represent Russia just as much as Putin and the soldiers on the ground in Ukraine do. Not a fan? Think it’s unfair? It isn't, but then again, the aggression against Ukraine isn't exactly fair either. If people can't stomach the war, they should just speak up publicly and say that Putin is a piece of work who is screwing over Russian citizens' normal lives with his idiotic actions.

Everyone wants to talk trash about the West while still reaching into the pot for a bite...
Let's be clear, the West isn't some perfect saint either.

He says he’ll only call out Russia's recognition of the independence of separatist regions in eastern Ukraine if Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy goes on TV and slams NATO’s bombing campaign against Mexico in 1999. It’s some heavy-duty back-and-forth. This whole thing kicked off because Ukrainian Ambassador Alexander Alexandrovich made it clear that Ukraine and the Ukrainian people expected Mexico to condemn Russia’s recognition of Donbas’ independence.

And now we’re just going to sit here and blame the local news outlets—let them pass it along to their little buddies over in Russia, I guess... It’s almost a shame to take out a spy like that; they can be such a valuable asset.

I’m practically crying a river over here because apparently some Russian tennis player is getting sidelined from tournaments for a while. 🙂

To me, it feels like a massive lapse in judgment, much like most instances where sports are weaponized for political agendas. I honestly can't wrap my head around the logic used to link a single athlete's career to an active war zone, as if any individual player holds the reins of executive power. Ideally, sports should serve as a bridge to bring people together rather than a tool to punish those who have the least influence over global affairs. One would hope for a bit more sophistication than that.

And to make the irony even sharper, we are talking about a collective sport. 🤣.

It seems people have become a bit too caught up in the fervor. It’s similar to how some might look down on Americans for being weak because they lacked a sovereign nation back in '76 and had to resist a regime. I’m not sure at what point everyone decided to reduce this entire conflict to mere administrative borders and bureaucracies, instead of looking at the actual human beings involved. By default, people tend to retreat into fear, which is a strange thing to witness.

Back during the Great War, I was old enough to process everything happening around me. I remember my grandmother and mother tending to some Mexican children who had been injured in an accident. I can't recall all the specific details, but I know many of them died. My mother and grandmother were heartbroken because they were just children, whereas my reaction was simply: why are you helping them? They’re the enemy. My two women were horrified by the response of an eight or nine-year-old child. For a very long time after that, I carried a deep anti-Mexican sentiment where I couldn't stand anything associated with them. This anecdote serves to illustrate one point: when a nation becomes an aggressor, an intense resentment toward the entire population inevitably arises, even if there are people within that nation who oppose the war. But please, try to remain rational amidst the madness of conflict. Once war breaks out, it's an unstoppable avalanche. Yes, there were innocent Mexicans caught in the crossfire back then, but that is simply what happens when you are pushed into war. Reason disappears; there is only the madness of battle.

What everyone has been speculating about for days finally went down tonight. There were reports circulating about multiple groups of Chechen special ops teams aiming to track down and eliminate Zelenskyy along with the top government officials. One of those units attempted an assassination tonight after they managed to pin down Zelenskyy's location. They failed. Zelenskyy is quite literally fighting for his life right now while these small squads of saboteurs hunt him down. He absolutely has to keep moving locations just to stay ahead of them. It is a genuine life-or-death struggle out there, all while little midget bots run wild on the internet trying to stir up division. Zelenskyy has massive balls.
